We ate here for dinner M, 8/31/26 our 1st night in Navarre. We enjoyed the atmosphere. It's sort of confusing where the entrance is. When we parked we were by the outside bar area and walked through it to get to a hallway to the restaurant lobby. It must've been on the other side of the entrance because we didn't see it. You have options of an outside beach bar, indoor bar, inside restaurant, indoor restaurant seating with views of the sound/bay, or seating on the outdoor deck. We could see the view from our indoor table and it was nice. They have some warm rolls served with their in house churned butters! My gawd! I think the honey butter is my favorite but the strawberry butter was delicious too! These are a great start to the meal. We both ordered the stuffed grouper which was stuffed with the crab cake mix topped with shrimp & covered with a garlic cream sauce. It was good. Mine had some fish bones in the fillets and I could do without the stuffing. It was more mushy than I'd like but I'd order the dish again sand the stuffing or ask them to cook it outside the fish so it's not as mushy. The garlic green beans were good. They had a Woodford double oaked smoked. Old fashioned as a drink special. It was decent. They could've left the smoker top on a tad longer and definitely they need a large block ice. It was essentially a small block cube in the glass. I'd go back if we returned to the area. It was our first time in Navarre but probably won't be our last. The service was good; our server was friendly. I wish I could remember her name but she said she's traveled all a long the east coast and is from MD maybe and that their crab cakes rival those in Annapolis . Writing this as of 9/24/26. Food was alright- I got the appetizer shrimp and crab cake. Crab cake tasted more like stuffing than anything else but shrimp was good. I think they forgot about our food or kitchen was backed up or something. Waitress was nice and I know the wait time for food wasn't her fault. Our cards did get mixed up on the receipts- which she did fix, but was strange considering the restaurant was pretty much empty by the time we finished. Do think there's room for improvement on training- solely because we tried to order a few things and then were told way later that those things on the menu weren't available. Wish they had told us when we sat down. It was a Thursday night and no music outside which is fine if that's what they want to do. Chill place but room for improvement- which I think is very possible. Potential to be a cool place. Average pricing considering it's seafood. read more

This place can be hit or miss for food. If you dine inside, you're most likely to have a good experience. The menu is good, when it's served correctly. But if you dine outside, it's a different experience. It's a fun spot to come especially during happy hour + sunset hour. Happy hour specials are pretty great. There is usually a live band, and the sandy area is nice to lounge in with swings and space if you have kids for them to play. But every time we have ordered food for the outdoor area, it is either the wrong order, not good, or the oysters Rockefeller showing up with spinach artichoke dip in the oyster shells and not one oyster. If you want a good dining experience, avoid ordering through the bar area outside! read more

The waterfront atmosphere is easily the best part of Emerald Waterfront Bar & Grill. The view was beautiful, and the restaurant has a nice upscale-casual feel. Unfortunately, the food and service experience didn't match the setting. I ordered the crab-stuffed blackened grouper with jalapeño crust, a house salad, and queso mac & cheese. Ordering was confusing from the beginning. I initially asked about having the grouper blackened and was told I couldn't, then asked for the jalapeño crust. When my food arrived, I was told they don't do that preparation on this particular dish. It didn't feel like our server knew the menu well enough to guide me through the options. The grouper itself was underwhelming and lacked seasoning. Then I found a hair on my plate. I was immediately offered a replacement, but at that point I didn't want the meal remade. I was told twice that a manager would come speak with me. Instead, the check came almost immediately, my meal was removed, and a manager never came to the table. It honestly felt like the priority was getting us checked out rather than having a manager actually address what happened. WOW! Just BAD overall. We made reservations for 10. Got there and the table wasn't ready. It probably took almost 30-40 mins to be seated. There was a party that came in after us probably less than 10 but more than 5 and WAS ALMOST SEATED before us!!! A waiter notice this and reify the situation. From start to finish it was an unpleasant experience. Our waitress was great! I ordered the scallop and it was SO TINY! Do not get it. They also didn't prepare my boyfriend's steak correctly. Overall, everyone said their plates were not good. It was an expensive place as well. Not worth it. Oh lastly, valet times probably end before the restaurant closes? Everyone in my party of 9 agreed that this was the best food on our trip. I personally had the grilled chicken with creole sauce and fried green tomatoes and cleaned the plate! I dined here this evening with my family, and unfortunately it was a very disappointing experience from start to finish. The first issue was parking. The restaurant offers valet parking, which is fine as an option, but it is mandatory. Every parking space in the lot had a cone blocking it, leaving guests no choice but to use valet. I have no problem with valet service being available, but requiring every customer to use it feels unnecessary. Our dining experience then took a very unexpected turn. We were seated on the covered patio when we heard a hostess repeatedly yelling for the bartender in a panicked voice. We turned around and saw smoke coming from a large trash can. My boyfriend immediately jumped up, grabbed the trash can, and carried it outside before the fire could spread. By the time he got it outside, flames were visible and the plastic trash can was actively melting. He could have easily been injured in the process, but none of the employees appeared to be removing the burning trash can from the restaurant, so he stepped in and did what needed to be done. Once outside, we used glasses of water from a nearby table that had been abandoned by guests and extinguished the fire ourselves. Our server briefly thanked us, but that was the extent of the acknowledgment. A manager came running outside asking where the trash can was. When we explained that a server had already removed it, she abruptly responded, "I know, I need to know what was in it." She never returned to our table, never thanked us for helping prevent what could have become a much more serious situation, and no effort was made to recognize what had happened. As for the food, the smoked fish spread was actually the highlight of the meal and the only item I would recommend. The Boom Boom Shrimp had a tasty sauce, but the breading was soggy and falling off the shrimp. The Caesar salad and house salad were both average. For our entrées, we shared the stuffed grouper and the fish and grits. Both were edible, but neither was memorable. They lacked seasoning and flavor, especially considering the price point. Needless to say, we will not be returning. That's particularly disappointing because there are very few seafood restaurant options in Navarre. Between the poor handling of a legitimate safety issue and the underwhelming food, this was not an experience we would repeat. read more

Oh dear this is not going to be a pleasant review. My wife and I attended this establishment the other day while on holiday in Navarre Beach and to say the experience was sub par would be an understatement. The restaurant was mostly empty, so we expected relatively speedy service. After waiting for about 5 minutes, my wife wandered into the kitchen to find someone to seat us. Ok, not the best start but room for improvement......our server Samuel brought us to a table, and handed us our menus......he then immediately yanked my menu from my hand to tell me about what the lunch items were (no lies he yanked it out of my hand). I ordered the Blue Angel Burger which has a choice of cheese (which was never asked what kind of cheese I wanted) and my wife had the scalloped and oyster Rockefeller. When my burger arrived, I was told that it automatically came with American cheese which is CLEARLY not what the menu says. When I advised Samuel of this, he rudely told me, "You're the fist person I have had a problem with." When refilling the water for myself and my wife, he nearly clotheslined us both rather than walking to the side or asking for the glass to be handed to him. Finally, the food made my wife ill. $95 for a pretty bad meal and piss poor service. Will not be coming back and suggest you avoid this place. Not worth it. read more

This place has an awesome menu that spans chicken, beef, lamb, and seafood...and they cook it to perfection. EVERY dish we ordered, and even the ones we didn't, came out beautifully seasoned, cooked to perfection, and left you wanting more. Want the outdoor seating? Traveling from New Orleans for a holiday weekend getaway, I booked a reservation for two for my husband and I. I checked the other reviews here which greatly helped to manage my expectations. This venue has two segments: a casual porch-style patio and a more "upscale" (for the Florida coast) restaurant, which is further divided into inside and outside patio seating. We were first seated pretty close to a strong fan and when I asked to be reseated, the hostess was happy to accommodate -- as soon as she cleared the nearest two-top. Our server, Stacy, was on point throughout our service. Drinks: I had the Cool as a Cucumber cocktail and it was delicious. The proportions were just right, but it warmed quickly on the patio. Starters/Salad: We started with the spinach and artichoke dip. It came with house tortilla chips, and we hunted a little for the lump crab. Bread service included yeast rolls with house made honey butter and strawberry butter. Our Caesar salads were Caesar sad. Wilted romaine and the dusting of dressing lacked flavor. I'd skip all of these in the future. Entrees: Husbae ordered blackened gulf shrimp with mashed potatoes. I went with grilled scallops and the Parmesan risotto cake. While our proteins were well-cooked and seasoned, both of us found the sides lackluster. The Parmesan risotto cakes were battered and fried, and primarily the flavor was herbaceous. It seemed like the risotto wasn't salted, and the Parmesan was strangely stringy, like a mozzarella. Notable: we waited a *long* time after the first three courses came out in pretty rapid succession. Our reservation was for 7:30 and by 8 we'd been served both the spinach dip and the bread. A little later the lackluster salads came. Entrees hit the table at 5 til 9. However, because our waitress kept us apprised of the status of our order, and since I'd read other reviews, we weren't too inconvenienced by this. read more

It was another awkward setting. We waiting solid 20-30 minutes without a single server coming to us for drinks. We ultimately left at this point and not a single person talked to us about our issues. Wife and I ate there at 3:00 today, so it was not crowded. The food was excellent. The service was terrible and the prices very high. Would not recommend. The waiter got my wife's order wrong three times! How is that even possible? He also forgot our salads and only came by about every 20 minutes to see if we needed anything. There are better places to eat in Navarre for a more reasonable price. I guess they survive on tourist that et there once then leave town to be replaced by new tourist. read more

We had a large crowd post memorial service for lunch and everyone loved delicious food. I had the shrimp poboy with fries, husband had the Mahi sandwich, friends had the Mahi BLT as well as the Rib Cheesesteak. We started with spinach dip, calamari, fried mushrooms and fried mozzarella. Everything was amazing! Our phenomenal server, Rachel, was also the bartender. Angel was our other server and he did an excellent job! The valet service is complementary so that's good...except that when you tip you're basically paying to park to eat there and it's not option so it's not actually good at all. Secondly, the water glasses had debris in them. Thirdly, a fire broke out in a trash can near us. I quickly ran to grab it take it outside and put it out. It was a bathroom trash can so it was obvious the source wasn't something that couldn't be put out by water. The manager never came by to acknowledge us, thanks us, or even just say sorry that happened while you dined. Instead she comped the table next to us's food. When we travel we like to find a nice place to have dinner. This looked to fit the bill for us, so we made reservations and dressed up a bit. I'm glad we made reservations, as they were quite busy. We enjoyed the meal, sharing Oysters Rockefeller and splitting a steak. They oysters were large and had great flavor and the steak was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. A generous Caesar salad with warm bread accompanied with honey and strawberry butter. The part of our evening that kept this from a 5 star review was we were seated at a table close to the front door that looked like was added as an afterthought. It was kind of in the way for the natural flow of things. Two of the chairs were next to aisles too close to other patrons/ and servers getting by. We were offered a table on the covered heated patio, but the live music was so loud we could not enjoy quiet conversation. We were informed the other tables were reserved and unavailable. ( we had reservations as well). We enjoyed the food, service was ok, but the seating arrangement left us disappointed. We feel when we are willing to spend over $100 for 2 drinks and a shared meal, we expect a comfortable relaxing meal. We were in town with friends and they took us to this place and boy it didn't disappoint! It is a very nice restaurant with some unique decor and they have indoor and outside seating for your pleasure. Our series's very friendly and shared with us the house specials as well as the popular dishes. We started off with the smoked bacon the bacon wrapped shrimp as appetizers. They were both delicious. The shrimp were grilled to perfection and they bacon had a sweet and smoky taste and the crumbled feta cheese took it over the top. We had THE LOBSTER and the jalapeño crusted grouper as our entrees. THT LOBSTER was deep fried and then fill with asparagus, lobster and shrimp and the tossed in a delicious sauce and then put back inside the lobster shell. The grouper was amazing! The jalapeño crust along with that sauce was definitely a taste that I've never had. The fish was so flaky and paired with delicious brussel sprouts and some amazing fried rice. Last but not least, the rolls are the best I've ever had anywhere! They also come with homemade honey butter and strawberry butter. Don't fill up on the rolls because it's easy to do. There are many decent restaurants in the Navarre Beach area. Casual, fun, decent service. Emerald is a different animal. Upscale, offering seafood (as they must), great steak offerings, pork chops, lamb chops and several chicken offerings. I enjoyed scallops with Brussel sprouts, my wife coconut shrimp with risotto parm cakes. Several varied bourbons (and other spirits) to choose. Fair variety of wines. Even had a Fruit Loop crème brûlée. No question, best fine dining in the area. Thanks for great meal. read more

We had always wanted to try this restaurant whenever we visited Navarre, but unfortunately it was a huge disappointment. The restaurant is overpriced for what you receive. You're required to use valet parking because there are no other parking options, which adds to the expense before you even walk in. The restaurant was uncomfortably hot, making the dining experience even less enjoyable. The food took an exceptionally long time to arrive, even though only a handful of tables were occupied. When it finally came out, the portions were shockingly small--more like a child's plate than an adult meal. The fried shrimp had good flavor, but the batter was soggy instead of crispy. The piña coladas were especially disappointing. They were served in a very small cup and tasted terrible The only thing that was great was our waitress. Very attentive and friendly. We are a family of 7 and on the bill was considered a "large" party. I think that's messed up to do and the server was just wanting to make sure he got tipped.
