House Salad + Blackened Mahi Mahi
Chloe M.

Not sure what to think... I really loved the big chunks of tomato in the salad, but I'm sure others would dislike this. Hushpuppies had green peppers in them? Kind of strange, I enjoyed them, but my husband with an allergy did not (just a mild allergy, he's fine).

Snow crab legs!

Service was great and attentive! Got in right before dinner rush and thankfully so! Me and my girl ordered the snow crab (market price put it at 50$) per person. Along with some hush puppies (I'm a sucker for good hush puppies. Food came out exceptionally fast and very hot! Crabs were filled with sweet savory meat and I'm a fat happy camper now! Will definitely be going back for more!

We spent the day in and around Navarre and after looking at the food options Dewey Destin's was a fairly easy choice, this restaurant's location will draw you in and the food and cocktails will validate you've made the right decision. Once inside you can view the menu or daily special's board before approaching the counter to your right or choose as we did to go directly to the bar for drinks and lunch (it's a two sided bar and we found seats on the dining area side which is still inside but offers a better view). Zach was tending bar and set us up with menus and took our drink orders, we started out with a spicy Bloody Mary and a Mojito both were perfectly crafted and great pours, I decided to follow up my cocktail with a local amber draft which was really refreshing and served ice cold. We started with an appetizer order of fried crab claws (a meal in itself) if you've never experienced these and a crab lover well these are a great example of how they are supposed to be done and definitely addictive. We followed up these with a fried Louisiana catfish basket and a blackened triple tail basket - soooooo much food especially after wiping out the fried crab claws. The fried catfish was fried crispy as I ordered it but moist and flaky honestly I forgot about the sides these portions are large especially for lunch. The blackened triple tail was amazing and again such a nice portion not until we got into this basket did we realize there was a second piece of fish underneath what is shown in the picture. Everything here was great starting with the staff, the service, the food, drinks and prices. When returning to the area it will be a difficult decision not to return here or too explore other dining options. If you're reading this review this place definitely deserves a bookmark...

Stopped in for a quick lunch with family and friends. We were seated immediately. Food and service were both excellent. Restaurant was very welcoming with a great view. Great food!

You place your order inside and then they bring it to you.

The food was amazing! Pet friendly, with back porch picnic tables and view of the bay. Service is great, very polite and professional young adults who serve you well.

Grouper, scallops, and shrimp - blackened

Quick and efficient service with a nice atmosphere. Easy dinner with kids. High quality seafood!

Snow crab steamer. Comes with butter, potatoes, and corn. This is the mild seasoned.

We are vacationing in the area and after a pretty long day of travel we were looking for something close to our condo and had good food. Dewey Destin's did not disappoint. The staff is friendly and welcoming as soon as you walk in. Our son had the kid's fried fish meal, my husband had the fried mahi mahi sandwich, and I chose the snow crab legs. It was pretty packed, but our food came fairly quickly and was delicious. We greatly enjoyed the atmosphere and it was my son's first time trying crab legs. He loved them. Would definitely come back if we are in the area in the future.

Rotten oysters! It smelled so bad! We couldn't even eat the rest of the food! $100 wasted!

I was anticipating to come here since our last trip. It was so good I thought of it. Yes I really thought of how good the food was last time. This time it was the total opposite. My wife and I ordered the Captains Platter. For over $20 a platter it should have been cooked to temp. Was it? No. It was over cooked! So overcooked it was rubbery. The fish was tasteless and the shrimp had the texture of plastic because it was so overcooked. The only good thing that was edible were the hush puppies. They were the only good thing on the plate. The worst part of it was the fried oysters. I still do not feel well because I was given rotten oysters. The first one I ate I thought to myself that didn't taste right. The second one I took the breading off and smelled it. It smelled rotten. An awful smell. My wife checked hers and they too were rotten. I felt so paranoid because I know bad oysters can make you very ill. Julia one of the workers came and asked us how was everything and we told her about the oysters. We don't like to complain about the food to workers, but this needed to be addressed since I didn't want other people to get sick. She apologized and asked us if we wanted a new plate but we said no. She left and brought us 1 key like pie that was on the house. I was baffled She asked if she can take the tray of food from me and I said yes. She apologized. She took it to the kitchen I believe it's so they can look at the oysters. She said yes they smelled bad. I said yes they smell very bad. Julia the server was the only good thing about the meal that day. She was very apologetic but we told her it wasn't her fault. I don't know how the kitchen is being run there but how can they not smell the bad oysters?! I can still smell it from memory it was so bad. I also have been having diarrhea for the last 2 days. We will never come back to Dewey's. The worst experience I ever had with seafood. Don't know what happened because this place was so good. Never again!

Took a chance on this place while going up 98 and was not disappointed. Friendly service, and seafood was fresh and excellent as expected for a restaurant that overlooks the ocean. Would stop again in a heartbeat

Ask the Community - Dewey Destin's Navarre

Are there gluten free options? oysters ? corn tortilla tacos?

Yes! They have shrimp and Mahi mahi that can be grilled or blackened with a side of corn and potatoes. Oysters on the half shell are not always on the menu, they are a special that comes and goes.

Are there grilled fish choices?

Yes, they offer 3 grilled flavors- Teriyaki, blackened, or bronzed (which is lemon pepper).

Loved it. Like, really really…read more I was on the hunt for our Gulf View spot. I was committed to finding a restaurant with a gulf view and great food. I found it here. The prices are more reminiscent of LA but the quality of ingredients was great. The service, sufficiently attentive. The view? Omg spectacular. Parking is simple. It's tucked in Navarre Beach which is a quiet, peaceful place. We sat outside and had it to ourselves because it was hot. The indoor was cute though. Nice high, beam vaulted ceilings and very fun scallop shell light fixtures. It felt like a beach house but nonetheless we opted for the fresh air overlooking the gulf. We had shade although they also have sofa seating in the sun. The salad was the best I've had here locally. Reminiscent of a CA salad and I deeply missed that. The pork belly was wild! A thick generous portion. My husband devoured it. It was very good, although he found it slightly overdone, I did not as pork should be cooked thoroughly. I am looking forward to returning here. It's one of the best meals we had here, right on par with Jackson's & the Grand Marlin.
