Andy D's was our first seafood stop in Navarre Beach and it was a good choice. I had a grilled grouper sandwich with onion rings and my wife had the fried shrimp with sweet potato fries. My sandwich had two lightly seasoned filets with tomato, lettuce and onion. The onion rings were okay but I prefer less batter on them. My wife said she had a generous portion of well fried shrimp and she also enjoyed her fries. She didn't have room for her hush puppies but another member of our party said they were some of the best he had ever had. Our server was Ariel and she did an excellent job. There was a live band tonight and a lively crowd enjoying the music outside. I think there is a good chance our group will be revisiting Andy D's. read more

Getting a to-go pizza to take back to your hotel room and realizing once you are back in your room that the staff didn't slice the pizza is not a fun time. We tried tear by hand slightly but that wasn't going to work. Thankfully my husband always has a pocket knife on hand otherwise we would have been SOL. We had such an amazing lunch at Andy D's. The decor is so cute. Grouper sandwich was BIG and delicious! Fried green tomatoes had a chipotle aioli, which I wasn't sure about, but it was fantastic. Grilled shrimp were SO FLAVORFUL, mac & cheese was creamy, hush puppies moist, and the pina colada was quite possibly the best I've ever had. I'm gonna walk there just to get another one! Our server, Gabe (?), could not have been more friendly or accommodating. He even ran back to the kitchen to get me a cup of cherries for the pina colada when they were forgotten (I wouldn't even have noticed!). Exceeded every expectation and we will definitely be back. Sat at bar. Sunshine was bartender. She was nice. They open at 730 but don't have their bartenders come in till 8 and they are always overwhelmed trying to get bar open and serve customers. The food is simple nothing to it. My chicken fried steak was basic nothing fancy and the breakfast potatoes are your typical frozen no flavor yuck! While spending a day hanging out on the beach we came here for a drink and a snack. We got here about 20 mins before lunch was being served and the lady working at the outside bar was very quick to give us "the rules" that we "had to wait 20 minutes" if we wanted to order any lunch items, as she couldn't enter them into the system. Now, I get that this might be how their POS works, but this type of discussion is NOT appropriate to have with customers. But I will say that once that time came up, she was quick to come back and let us know it was time to place the order, which was nice. I knew we wanted chicken nachos, but they offered different styles of chicken, so I asked which was best and she said blackened and that's what we ordered. They came out rather quickly and looked amazing. There was sooo much diced chicken on them which was so very tasty. The chips were thin and everything was flavored nicely. Definitely met our expectations for some tasty nachos! The sad part was the drinks we ordered... they basically tasted like fruit juice with absolutely ZERO amount of alcohol added to them, which is terrible considering we're paying for an alcoholic drink. We arrived and were seated immediately inside but were noted there would be a 15 minute wait for outside. They have live music outside and we were there to eat not ambiance so inside was nice for us. We were immediately greeted by an upbeat server who was on her A game and stayed on top of our service at our table besides being very busy. We waited 45 minutes for our food, and unfortunately it wasn't worth the wait. Who serves a family of four an order of cheese sticks with only three in the basket? To make matters worse, they were completely burnt. There was literally no cheese inside because they had been fried so long that it had all leaked out into the fryer. My blackened chicken sandwich arrived with chicken that was partially raw. I sent it back, only to receive what was clearly the same piece of chicken, cut up and overcooked, placed back on the same bun that had the raw chicken sitting on it. The General Manager insisted it was a "completely fresh sandwich," but it absolutely was not. At that point, I had no interest in eating any of the food. This experience was unacceptable from both a food quality and food safety standpoint. We left extremely disappointed and won't be returning. read more

I used to love Andy D's. My husband and I come here often and it seems to continue to go downhill. The consistency isn't there and it's always hit or miss, and tonight was a big miss. I understand their power went out and things happen, but if you can't deliver quality don't offer it. It started with the egg rolls which have always been my favorite appetizer, but some of them were ice cold in the middle while others were scalding. We didn't say anything, no biggie. Then my husband ordered the burger which he usually enjoys, but today it looked like it was cooked with steam. No griddle marks or sear, just a bland sad grey couple patties, but nothing shocked me quite like the "blackened " chicken sandwich I ordered. I love blackened chicken, I make it often and order similar sandwiches often when I go out to eat, what they served me was not blackened chicken, infact it looked boiled and then sprinkled with a mediocre amount of seasoning on one side of the chicken. It was in no way black or even seared at all. It didn't look like it touched a hot surface. I ordered extra crispy bacon for an extra $3.50 and got two small undercooked pathetic excuses for bacon. I couldn't even eat it and our waiter( who was super kind and awesome) did remove it from our bill, but between our drinks and what food we did eat it was over $100 for really crap food that keeps getting worse. They tried their best and still failed miserably. It was the evening that would determine the fate of Hurricane Helene. A group of us had evacuated to Navarre and we wound up at Andy D's for dinner. We get it, we get it. They are slammed and have minimal waitstaff. This still doesn't explain how the food can a) be so subpar and b) take an eternity. Pertaining to the food being subpar, exactly that. It was edible but not particularly tasty. I ordered some shrimp tacos, and meh, the melange of flavors was weird. I didn't expect them to be sweet. Everyone in my table also had food that was again edible, okay even, but nothing worth raving for. Pertaining to taking an eternity, two of my party did not receive their orders until an hour later. Heck, the waiter himself apologized for not putting the orders in. For this mistake, you'd think they'd have comped the meal or something, but nope. Did I also mention that to get the waiter's attention it was quite difficult? I understand again, the day it was, that it was packed and what not, but still absolutely unacceptable. The eleven of us went to Andy d's on a Monday evening. The parking lot was packed, and so was the inside. We were told to wait, and it was only a minute before we were seated. Our waitress was very nice, but she was a little forgetful. The kids root beers were swapped with a couple of waters, and an order of shrimp tacos was misplaced with chicken tacos. The service could use some improvement. The food was delicious. I had the blackened shrimp tacos, which were very tasty and delivered a nice kick. I also stole one of my family member's chicken tenders, and they were amazing. The salsa was a little bit lacking, but that's ok. Based solely on the food, I could probably give this place five stars. I thought the decor in the restaurant looked really good. There was two tvs displaying relaxing videos of fish, and there was a fish theme throughout the rest of the restaurant. But while the decor was nice, it was a little messy in there. I normally would not say Juana's is a better place to go but holy crap... worst service I've ever had at a restaurant. Sat us at a table directly outside of the trash area. When asked to move the server lady got nasty. Food was god awful. Fish was severely overcooked. Actually everyone In our party had miserable food.
