I love the monthly aerial cocooning workshop with Tibetan tones singing bowls mediation led by Adrianna. She is an advanced wellness practitioner who guides her class safely for those who are new to aerial style yoga and ending the class with a deep sound bath meditation makes me feel truly incredible every workshop I attend. I, myself have enjoyed massages, sauna sessions and a variety of yoga classes here and feel more calm and confident after each session. I wasted $60 on an intro package for two weeks. I walked out on the first class and couldn't muster any desire to return. I think the owner is mentally off as I have never encountered such rapid movement or as strange a classroom presentation in fifty years of yoga. I researched the teacher on line when I returned home and discovered she was the owner. She has inserted her image and bio ubiquitously including a music site when she doesn't even produce music! The self promotion was staggering, Bad vibes of a cultish sort here. Could never coddle to her ego bursting classroom narratives. Want to do some authentic yoga? Go somewhere else. A few years ago my best friend and I decided we wanted to start a weekly routine with yoga - we had both grown up as dancers, were interested in yoga, and loved having another reason to see each other every week. We started going to Stefani's mat classes in the old Merrick location. We LOVED them/her! We heard she also did antigravity classes and decided to try those a few months in - and we were hooked! Since then, I've had the pleasure of experiencing Move & Meditate, Flying Fitness, Rockin Vinyasa and Aerial Flow (just to name a few). Honestly, any class Vanessa leads is incredible, and my Wednesday's wouldn't be as awesome without Michelle's 7:45 class. If I'm ever off on a Tuesday, i make sure to take Brittany's 4:30. I've also enjoyed the workshops they offer, like an astrology chart reading. They've moved since I started to a BEAUTIFUL new studio in Massapequa and offer even more fun opportunities to relax: massages, floats, saunas. They also have cute shirts, leggings, dream catchers, stickers, and gems in the front; I needed a little assistance from the universe when I was going through a tough spot and I swear the tigers eye and amethyst I got there helped me land a new, incredible job. I have completed Antigravity fundamentals teacher training at Emerge and the owner, Vanessa, was not only well qualified herself but also holds her teachers to very high standards, especially when safety is involved. As far as how they stand beside other boutique yoga studios, Emerge is the only studio in the area that offers Antigravity fitness which is AFFA certified unlike aerial yoga classes and studios. I cannot say enough amazing things about this place; tonight I had the most imcredible experience. I had a one hour float and I didn't know what to expect since it was my first time. I was greeted by Julia, who then introduced me to Shannon who was so sweet in guiding me through the floating process. She even helped me put the earplugs in my ears! The float room is clean, peaceful and very warm. I loved that Shannon calmed all my concerns and made sure I was going to enjoy my first float experience. She then offered to have music play in the pod; any music of my choice. I asked for either Goo Goo Dolls or Backstreet Boys. After the shower prep, I laid in the pod and hearing the Backstreet Boys while feeling the magic of drifting into another world was so beyond something I never felt before. I wanted to fall asleep but my body wasn't letting me go completely; I knew it would be challenging for me the first time floating. After an hour, the jets turn on quietly along with Shannon saying "Hey Jackie, it's time to wake up! Byeee!" on the intercom. I loved her personality so much! Shannon took me to a tranquility room to relax and her and I chatted for a few until I was ready to leave this incredible safe haven. Julia was so happy that I loved my experience and assisted me with booking another float next week. These two ladies literally made my night. I felt so much love and happiness with them and I feel so grateful that I had this wonderful opportunity to try something that made me feel all these wonderful emotions. The float was amazing. Thank you both for providing a light to my happiness that I havent had in a long time; We deal with so much stress, darkness and disappointment in life. You both have the power to heal. Not the typical yoga studio by far. A self-care community has been created here. Each class offering and workshop is unique and appealing in its own way, as is each instructor. I have yet to have a mediocre class here. Every experience is top notch. The float experience here is much better than others I've tried. While others are relaxing you get much more of a secluded experience floating here and the cleanliness (so important when floating) is stellar. My last float at another place had some garbage on the floor from previous floater and you could hear showers in other rooms. That ruins the experience. At Emerge you feel secluded, peaceful and the room is spotless. Actually the entire place is spotless. There are few places that create a feeling when you walk through the doors and Emerge is one of the few. The people working there is a major part of that. Everyone is friendly and sincere. I also attend the 200 hour teacher training which is challenging and life changing. Highly recommend!! read more

This Yoga studio is a little slice of heaven. I have been practicing yoga for 15 years, have tried numerous studios all over Manhattan and Long Island. When I travel I often drop into studios, too. Emerge takes the cake, my friends. The studio feels like a spa with incredible energy. It is spacious, clean, bright, with lockers (that was a first for me). There are numerous rooms with a variety of class offerings. You can meditate, take restorative yoga, or hang from the ceiling in an aerial yoga class. They also offer private spa services. The only con I have identified is the quality of the class tends to vary based on the instructor. Most of the instructors appear to be young and relatively inexperienced (200 hour certified, reading from paper, difficulty providing modifications, etc.), unless you have found one of their more seasoned instructors. Whomever owns Emerge runs it well, but also tight, and like a business. I find this often doesn't attract high level yogis who teach at the top yoga schools and ashrams. That (slight) critique aside, Emerge is an incredible facility with some great deals (TIP: their online scheduling system offers last minute discounts on classes). After a short class you leave feeling completely renewed, like you spent the day at a spa. Hands down one of the best studios in the area. read more

I went here two weeks ago for the anti-gravity class that was a part of a charity event. Chrissy did a great job of making sure everyone was comfortable and showing us what to do. A lot of the group had beginners in it and everyone was able to do the inversions by the end of class. In anti-gravity yoga the majority of the time is spent suspended in a Hammock made of a flexible cloth. I found this to be more gentle than "land based" yoga because of this. Going upside down will feel odd since the blood will rush to your head. After coming upright again peppermint oil was provided to help with this. The relaxing/meditation at the end of class was more enjoyable since you spend it laying down in the hammock and they will swing you upon request. read more

I signed up at Emerge right after moving to Long Island and I have definitely found my tribe! Everyone is so nice here! It really is the cherry on top of an already-awesome experience at Emerge. The classes are unique and provide a range of experiences depending on what you're looking for. You can really slow it down and relax in one of their release and restore classes, or burn a bunch of calories and work super hard at move and meditate. This place tried to charge me 80 dollars for an hour to use their infrared sauna for an hour. 80 dollars!! They also don't offer deals or packages for the sauna. So it's 40 dollars every time you go in for a 30 minute session - no matter what! They bang on the door when time is up. Overpriced and not very relaxing! read more

I've been going to emerge for over a year now for both mat and antigravity yoga classes. I just went to their new location last night and was so amazed! I love the new teal hammocks and the soft flooring in the antigravity studio. I was so happy to see they still had the henna wall :-) The lockers are also a great addition. There is no need to bring a lock, you can set the combination yourself. The staff is always happy and helpful and I can't wait to continue to enjoy the new studio! Best of luck to you! read more

My daughter participated in the antigravity class for over a month loved it for over a month- while she did that me and my husband took the mediation class. Heather is superb! I've also had Brittany in the nidra class. Teachers are truly amazing! The last time we went, the 3 staff members told me I could not allow My daughter to participate in the anti gravity class because she is 3-4 minutes late and they already began. Since I've personally witnessed them escort children into the class late I was a little taken back by this. As of now we won't be continuing until their policies are consistent for all staff members. read more

Just when you think things can't get better, they do! I was disapoointed when they moved from Bellmore, 5 minutes from my house, to Massapequa Park, but there was no need to be. The new facility is just as easy to get to. It's big and beautiful and everything a yoga studio should be - dim lighting, great instructors, beatiful aromas, and an amazing staff. The anti-gravity yoga classes were the first of their kind on Long Island and they rock! If you have back or neck pain, or just like to have fun, i highly recommend these classes. I was visiting home with my sister and we decided to try out a class. She had been to one before and enjoyed it so I thought why not. To drop in the cost is $20 which isn't too terrible but a little expensive for just one class. We ended up missing our class a couple of weeks ago but they let us keep the credit and apply it another class when we were in town which was nice! We decided to do a beginners class which did simply poses and mostly focused on breathing as well as restorative poses. The class was quite small which I didn't mind but very clean. The people at the front desk was also nice and helpful. You don't wear shoes at all but they have cubbies before you enter you can put shoes in and then lockers near the classrooms so you can store a wallet/purse/keys. The class was a little slow but that what it was designed for. I did however feel relaxed after it and would enjoy taking another class the next time I am home! When we were walking out we were offered the new student discount but I'm not home enough to take advantage of it :/. Overall the environment is relaxing and welcoming as well as neat and clean. Two years ago my mother and I took an 8 week beginner yoga course together at another studio. We really enjoyed it but as great as it was the studio just didn't quite feel like "home" and I ended up not attending any more classes there afterwards. Then just this past year I decided to try again and found Emerge from the recommendations of others and since it was closer to my home I decided to give it a try. I'm so thankful I did because I honestly can't say enough good things about this amazing place! First off, the studio is big, beautiful, clean, and always spotless. It looks like they're expanding too which is dope. The front desk staff is always super nice, polite, and even remember your name! I've tried many different classes and every one was just as good as the last. They have mat yoga, aerial, meditation, total body, private sessions, and much more at all different levels. It's not even worth mentioning any specific instructors because EVERY single one has been extremely welcoming and knowledgeable, especially for a newbie like myself. I also love their use of essential oils and how every class is different week to week, always keeping things upbeat, fresh, and challenging. There's also tons of other services to try there like the sauna, massages, and floating tanks. The crowd is diverse with both men and women of all ages, even classes for children as well. Price wise they have many different options for packages and classes and having researched other studios in the area I think their pricing is very fair and moderate. The Emerge app is also convenient and easy to use to make purchases and book your classes right from your phone. Great vibes, ambiance, staff, and of course yoga! I came across this studio on yelp and wanted to give it a try! I found out my best friend goes here and I figured what better time to give it a try. I am so glad I did. I just finished day 2 of yoga back to back days and I feel great. I had my beautiful little girl 4 months ago and my body is getting the best workout possible. I love how knowledgeable everyone is and how welcoming they are. Vanessa and Michelle are both excellent! I can't wait to keep on going. I've been going to Emerge since they were located in Bellmore. It's no surprise why I followed them to Massapequa and choose to grow my practice with them. The teachers are amazing, the studio is clean & calming, and the class schedule always worked for me. I usually take Vanessa's Monday night class , and week after week, I leave feeling it was exactly what I needed. Whether it's a butt-kicking class, a relaxing class with lots of yummy stretching or just the simple words that always seem relatable to move me through my practice (sometimes, it's all of the above ). Emerge is my exercise, my happy place and my therapy all in one. I've only had a chance to take the yoga classes, but the studio has so much to offer. I have been to many many massage and spas with all different techniques and different therapist. I have to say this is by far the best. I love the atmosphere and the staff from the time you walk in the door until the time you leave are absolutely so pleasant and helpful. As for my therapist Jen, well she is amazing. You can feel how important your health and well being is by the way she gives her massage. I have only had two massages so far and plan on having plenty more. I havent taken a yoga class yet but if I do this is where I will go. I have been getting myofascial massages for about 6 weeks. They make me feel so much better because they work on my areas that need some support. I have had appointments with both Jen and Mark. They are fantastic. I am able to get appointments that work with my schedule. EVERYONE in the facility is so happy and so friendly. I wish I could work there too.
