We called American Med as we needed transport for our dad who we couldn't take to the hospital…read moreourselves due to his immobility. It was a non-emergency and we had a specific hospital we needed to go to so we opted to not dial 911. Dispatch was extremely patient and friendly...this was our first time using this type of service so I had some questions which they were happy to answer. Told us they'd be at the house in 20 minutes and they were right on time. It was challenging to get the gurney to the main bedroom but the techs found a way to ice our dad comfortably and safely. They took the highest level of care and was very respectful of our elderly father who isn't the strongest English speaker. We hope to not have to ever visit the hospital but we feel a level of comfort knowing we have reliable and safe transport if needed.

As they were taking him into his bedroom as he has been put on hospice has two fractured bones in his tailbone and suffering from lung cancer. They dropped him!! Onto the floor. The guy stated Oh I thought I dropped you on a pillow. My brother stated are you crazy!. I contacted the supervisors who said there is no incident report that should be given to the family. The EMTs that were on scene gathered in a huddle stated stayed outside did not provide an incident report and then simply left. I am now calling the supervisor. I want to talk to management. Do not use this service if you love your family. How do you drop a terminally ill man who is 61 years old on the floor. The manager called me back and stated that the for EMTs said they did not drop my brother. That is a lie!!. I'll be getting an attorney. I don't understand how you're supposed to care for somebody and you drop them on the floor, lie and say your supervisor. Stand around and ask if he's okay. I I contact management and they said that the for EMTs reported that they did not drop my brother. I don't have any reason to lie about what happened to him. My brother has cancer and is terminally ill what am I gaining telling the world that Liberty Ambulance carrier Transportation or whatever the hell they're called suck! Do not use the service they will lie and cheat do negligence and bodily harm to your loved one it just happened to us. It's important to let people know I had no idea that you would drop my brother on the floor and then say you lowered him to the ground really! When you dropped my brother on the ground, you stood around and said oh I'm sorry I thought you fell on a pillow. Are you freaking stupid do pillows grow out of a wooden floor?!. For this review, fortunately I was not one that had a family member with this jerk off driver from…read moreshuttlemed. It is unfortunate, however, that anyone's family member had to be transported by this moron. While I was driving northbound on Harbor Boulevard at Union in Fullerton, traffic was merging into one lane. This douche bag comes speeding up from the right and tries to cram his van with less than 2 feet between the vehicle in front of me and the front end of my car. Traffic was only moving at about 10 to 15 mph but instead of relinquishing, he continued to force his van into my lane and at one point got within a couple of inches of the side of my vehicle. In order to avoid being hit, I had to move my vehicle more towards the center of the roadway because this idiot was not giving up. Finally, when traffic stopped and there was no place for him to go he had to continue further up the right lane and ended up forcing his vehicle in front of some other poor person because he needed to get over. I immediately found the number to shuttlemed and called them to let them know about this driver's road demeanor. While I was waiting to speak to someone he ultimately pulled into an office location at 1400 North Harbor Blvd. while I was on phone I managed to snap a couple of shots of the driver, his van, his license plate, and his vehicle ID number. He got out of his van and I told him that I thought he drove like crap and that I was getting one of his supervisors on the phone. You can see in the photo that I added that he was all thumbs up about it and couldn't care less. It was at this point I was completely shocked. He opened up the rear van doors and I could see that inside he was transporting someone in a wheelchair!!! It was at about this time the supervisor finally got on the phone and I explained the situation to him. He seemed as though he cared, however, he did seem a bit nonchalant about the whole event. He assured me that they would be looking into this incident and would be speaking with the driver about it. At the end of that call I did not get a good feeling that anything would happen. Prior to writing my review I read the other review left by someone else where it discussed the driver running a red light. It's apparent that shuttlemed is only interested in taking someone's money and trying to get someone from point A to point B whether it's safely or not. Unfortunately, on Yelp you have to click at least one star. If it was at all possible this company would get a -100 star review from me. IF YOU VALUE THE LIFE OF YOUR LOVED ONES YOU WILL NOT LET shuttlemed TRANSPORT THEM ANYWHERE!!!

He took such good care of me!! He was early and prompt picking me up at the hospital!! He is a caring people person so much! He helped my anxiety to come down before surgery. Hes pleasant, sweet, made sure I didnt fall, ..I called this morning and told Linda..How much I love this company! I also will ask for Armando again next time I hire them! Hes wonderful! They show genuine concern and are respectful. They understand our needs and even our whines.
