The student clinic was comfy and spacious but the student massages I received (2 by 2 different therapists) were just average which was disappointing. I understand that as a student you wont be a ROCKSTAR therapist right out the gate but I personally just felt that the massages I had from Cortiva and NW School and a few others were far more advanced in skill than what I received here and I don't want to throw down 10k of my money to just be an "average" therapist. The owner is very pleasant and hands on and seems to have a true passion for the massage school and the industry and art of massage, however, I just felt it was not as deep of a curriculum as what I am looking for in a school. If you are looking for a local, good education to get started then I would recommend this school BUT I would not do it without recommending continued education courses to specialize in more modalities as soon as you graduate. In my opinion, I just felt the curriculum didn't offer the courses I wanted built in to my education for the cost, this school is great for others and many successful therapists come out of it...just not for me. They often get to know you and are willing to help individually if needed. I also appreciate the mix of online and on campus classes the school provides. The online classes help add some flexibility to the hours spent on campus and help you work with a job and school at the same time. If you are thinking of Running Start or of just going after high school or going back to school later in life, this is a great opportunity right in your backyard. They run a day care but there is a learning curriculum also so your kids dont just play with blocks all day. You dont have to go everyday as long as you schedule in advance, like every M W F or something. They really are teachers not babysitters, they teach manners, social skills and some school stuff like letters and they read in a group to the kids. Great place to take your kids.

With zero bodywork experience, I crossed my fingers and signed up for the Somassage Workshop. I'll be honest, I had no idea what I was walking into but from the second I stepped into the school on Whidbey Island I felt an instant sense of positive energy, lightness (which I hadn't' felt in years), and hope that this could be the antidote to all the years of burn out I had been experiencing. My first impression proved to be an understatement because I am now a full-fledged STUDENT at the school, working towards my Soma Practitioner license and it has literally changed the course of my life.
