Shawn was very, very helpful and very professional. What I thought was a faulty graphics card was actually a bad computer monitor with a bad color configuration. I needed my a working monitor that day so he kindly switched my monitors until I can order one that I like. I do photography so my colors and resolution have to be crisp and accurate. Shawn didn't charge me anything for his time and knowledge but I will definitely use him again in the future. He was super nice and easy to talk to. I recently contacted Shawn to fix what I thought were faulty USB ports in my PC. He was able to come to my home within an hour and diagnose the problem (which was far different than my guess). He took the tower to his shop and kept me up to date on his progress with a stubborn malware virus and then returned it to me and fixed my internet connectivity issues. I dropped my 2013 Dell and it wouldn't boot. When I called Shawn I was sure I'd have spend a fortune fixing/replacing it. I use my computer just for gaming/email and I didn't need any saved data. He said he'd diagnose my computer for free. OK, sold! I took it to him late in the afternoon and said he'd look at it and I could pick it up in two days if everything went well. He said if the hard drive needed replaced it would be $175 for the replacement and software package. I paid about $1600 for the computer so again, "Yes, please just fix it." Two days later I went to pick it up and I was expecting a grab and go. Shawn sat me down and explained the new software in gleefully nerdy detail and how to use it. He also gave me the choice of browsers. He suggested google chrome which I love now. He said I was wise to repair my computer as I would not need to upgrade for years and explained why I had a great computer. I actually learned something despite the fact that I've often treated my computer as if it was my worst enemy. He also said that it would run faster than ever and it was basically good as new. I can't believe how quickly everything loads and how fast I can scroll on Facebook. He organized everything so that my favorite programs are easy to find. I asked him about an Mac repair and he said honestly that I'b be better off going somewhere else to get the software work I need done. In my opinion, Shawn is friendly, honest and knows what he is doing. I appreciate the extra effort and I could tell he loves the work. He gets my highest recommendation. read more

Horrible experience. My wife and I went there based on the good reviews here, but Shawn must have slipped since then. Dropped off our laptop to fix the faulty DC jack. He ordered a new one, but broke the motherboard trying to de-solder the old one. No worries, that happens, so we ordered a new motherboard. After it shipped, we dropped it off with Shawn. This is the part that sucks. When we arrived, he seemed intoxicated. He had trouble communicating and kept forgetting where he was in the process. We agreed to leave it be for the night and pick it up the following day. Next day we e-mailed, called, texted, left messages and heard nothing. After three days of leaving us in the lurch, we threatened to report stolen property and wouldn't you know it, he called right away, all apologies. We just wanted our laptop back regardless of its condition, but Shawn was very reluctant to give it to us for some reason. read more

Big Box Store make you feel like your situation is a lost cause? Or maybe a possibility that will cost you an arm and a leg? My computer was scrolling crazy text up and down at a ridiculous speed. Could not get the thing to boot at all. The Big Box Store told me they would need to take a $49 non-refundable deposit and the "Data Recovery Team" that they outsource could take up to 2 weeks and start at $1000. I came across Shawn's ad with a couple of 5 star reviews and figured why not? I mean couldn't be worse than the starting $1000 quote the other store gave me.
