dr. Yuck was fantastic. he is an experienced very experienced Doctor Who has all the tools, including laboratory and skilled nurses and a scanner to diagnose problems. I was there someone who we thought might be suffering from appendicitis. He kept us in the room for two or three hours while he verified all the test that indeed it was that rather than some of the other problems that can manifest with the same symptoms he prescribed treatment with antibiotics and she is doing very well. I don't just recommend the facility. I recommend this as a very unusual old-school. Very careful very up-to-date on the literature healer that can be a person for anyone in need. read more

Biggest waste of time ever. Street parking/parallel parking is the only parking available at the main entrance -with the sign. ADA parking in back of building. Ramp to the sidewalk leads to steps in both directions. I'm in a wheelchair . Office Staff said yea, no one ever knows how to get in and they don't know why they don't have signs. My daughter used the stairs and found out I needed to go in the street and enter through a side entrance where they have a single wheelchair lift inside. Then we find out although their Website says they accept my insurance, they don't. The receptionist says everyone tells them that they accept this insurance but they do not. Said no one can ever show her where it says that they do, like somehow we all imagine it. Within 30 seconds showed her and yes, says it right there. Not like it would change anything but now maybe they can change it. Still, my insurance no longer accepts my previous doctor and my new doctor can't see me for 3 months. I have multiple sclerosis and need medication and new handicap placard. $220 for a visit plus any tests they need, but I have no choice, I have to see someone. I paid the fee. While waiting to be called back, they let me know they can't fill out a form for placard. Initially it was because they didn't have a form. Then it was because although they have the placard required MD ( as opposed to DO, NP, etc) they are not authorized to fill out the form. By then I gave up. It shouldn't be this hard. When we were leaving, the receptionist pointed at the lift I should use so I didn't have to go in the street around the bank to use the outdoor ramp. Never used one like this before . The ramp was steep and I was nervous about tipping back but my daughter helped me use it. Not any offer of any assistance. This place was empty. A walk in clinic with no one in or out the 30 minutes we were there. I think I know why lol. The receptionist was polite. Just unhelpful. As she was aware of all of these issues, one would think someone would do something to resolve them. read more

I always receive prompt and thorough care. Much easier than going to my primary. The staff is kind and knowledgeable.

I have been here twice now and would give them ten stars if I could. Everyone in the office is so incredibly nice and I felt so cared for. They were extremely thorough, fast, and efficient. Far better than any urgent care, they are more like a freestanding ER. Saved me a trip to the actual ER and got me exactly what I needed plus peace of mind read more

Brought my daughter in for an ear ache, we were the only people in the waiting room. Sat waiting for 45 minutes, nurse brought us in the back for weight check and to be put into a room, while walking in the back only 3 rooms had closed doors so I assume there were only 3 other patients sat another 40 minutes in the room waiting on the doctor, when he came in it took him 30 seconds to look in her ear and diagnose an ear infection. We ended up being there an hour and a half for literally 30 seconds with the doctor. There was NO reason for the long wait to be seen as they were clearly not busy. The reviews made me apprehensive but I've now had both drs after going twice and liked them both.

I would g give them a zero if I could. I have a specialized disorder and I tried to explain it to them. It just happened to be that I also had Covid. They wouldn't listen to me. I was Spamming on the table. I had a graver, I was incredibly sick. I was just trying to get help and to see if I needed to go to the ER. I'm new to the area and I thought they could help me. Obviously they couldn't do anything but test me for Covid and send me home. They said they're attending didn't think I needed to go to the ER. I did but I couldn't wait in the ER room because it would've made my condition worse I needed an ambulance, but they wouldn't offer that. So I had to go home and just take as many meds I had at home as possible and continue to spasm for the next two days as well as Covid I couldn't walk stand go to the bathroom by myself. Dr. yuct is excellent. However, dr.dickenson is the worst md I have ever met! No bedside, manner! He is rude and condescending. He has hurt this practice, which is sad because it was amazing and Dr. yuct is the best. I used to refer people to this facility, not anymore All other docs I have heard are great. read more

I'm writing this review on behalf of my boyfriend, who recently visited Emergency Physicians off 39th by Sonny's for swollen lymph nodes (adenopathy). What he experienced during his visit was not only dismissive but deeply unprofessional and inappropriate. Right away, the provider told him that lymph node swelling in the groin is commonly associated with STDs. Even though we've only been with each other--and we both have the test results to prove it--he respectfully listened and complied. He was told he would be treated prophylactically for an STD, and that his labs would be sent for evaluation. He specifically asked, "What happens if everything comes back negative and the swelling persists?" The provider reassured him that further testing and/or imaging would be done if needed. A few days later, all his STD tests came back negative for anything new, but he had already been treated anyway (which we understand is sometimes protocol). But what made the experience truly upsetting was the behavior of the staff during his visit. He overheard nurses and staff laughing and making jokes about him outside the room. One nurse joked about him "getting a shot in the ass" (which he never received nor qualified for), and others chimed in with "He's a big boy, he can take it." The provider himself made a snide comment about my boyfriend "not killing anybody," implying that I might have been unfaithful. These comments were loud enough to be heard clearly and left him feeling humiliated and dismissed. To this day, his lymph nodes are still swollen, and no further evaluation or imaging was offered, even though that was promised. His real concern was brushed off under the assumption of an STD he was negative for and he was mocked for it. As someone who works in healthcare, I understand the importance of compassion and professionalism--especially when discussing sensitive topics like sexual health. This visit was a clear example of the stigma and immaturity that patients fear. My boyfriend has thick skin, but this could've devastated someone else. This clinic's approach doesn't just fail the patient--it fails the mission of modern healthcare: to provide judgment-free, respectful, and thorough care. Immature jokes and assumptions do not belong in any clinical setting. read more

I am not kidding when I say that you are better off going with webMD. I had a UTI and I went in telling them that I likely had a UTI. I got prescribed Amox-Clav. Why did I take it? I just trusted the doctor. When you check the pharmacist recommendations, it says that Amoxicillins have been deemed as less effective for UTI's. I took it (unknowingly of course) and I got a horrible case of EXPLOSIVE diarrhea, FEVER, and body aches. Little did I know I got a horrible case of C. Difficile :) I love when antibiotics destroy your gut! So I went back to this clinic and had Dr. Dickenson. The "enson" in his name should just be taken out, because when you look up the word "pompous" a picture of this man will definitely pop up. He belittled my symptoms and led me to believe that I didn't have C. Diff. He said my chances were less than 10%. He prescribed flagyl and ordered a stool sample. One week later, DING DING DING. Thank God I have a nurse auntie who KNEW I had this. She told me to tell him that I had C. Diff, otherwise he wouldn't even have suspected it. The pharmacist recommended vancomycin instead of the metronidazole he prescribed, but again, he refused. He said and I quote: "This is my practice and I do what I want. Don't like it? Too bad." Well, the pharmacist didn't even know what to say to me. I called telehealth and thank God that the doctor had common sense and changed my prescription. I'm happily on my vancomycin trying to recuperate from what they did to my body. The nurses, receptionist, and EMTs are very nice, but the doctors are the epitome of obsolete, outdated, and USELESS. I've been sick for 30 days with that awful cold that has been going around and my friends were worried about me, urging me to get tested for pneumonia...so I decided to go. Today was the best experience at Emergency Physicians. All the Doctors here are excellent. Today I saw Dr. Vanstrum. She was personable and thorough. I was starting to feel a little down having been sick for so long, and she really lifted my spirits. The intake receptionist Ellen was very sweet, efficient, and genuine. The Nurse (blonde with ponytail bun) was good humor yet professional and competent. I don't usually get sick, but I appreciate this kind of professionalism and service when I'm in dire need of help. My x-rays were clear~ and this capability is a feature that not all emergency care centers have in-house, along with a lab. Another thing that influenced my positive experience is the building design. It's great because it is very open, clean, and has a spacious feel. Walked in and got seen within 15 minutes. Dr and nurse were extremely kind and helpful. The office was clean and welcoming. Literally could not have hoped for a better visit. I have always rated this place high. This was the worse visit ever. Dr. Yuct is amazing unfortunately he was not here. Cocky paramedic, MD not good. This is an awesome practice i am concerned. I read reviews on newer md online after my visit with a family member. Someone referred to him as condescending and rude that perfectly fits him so i will go with that. Paramedic, bearded guy was a bit too opinionated and big headed. I love ER physicians. I refer so many to them. I just warn them now to make sure that physician is not on duty. read more

This was my second visit to this particular medical center over a 2 year period. The first visit did not warrant a review. However, the exceptionally compassionate care I received upon my return deserves much more than a "five star" review!! I have been a firefighter, and emergency medical tech for over 15 years (which this facility did not know) and I can honestly say that Dr Hannah Eason-Bates is the most professional and caring physician I have ever met, or have been treated by! Her and her staff truly went above and beyond anything I have ever experienced! Not only while I was in their office, but after having to he sent to NFRMC for CT scan, Dr Eason-Bates' and her staffs care continued! Her or one her staffed called me, or my wife at least once an hour to check on my condition. My CT scan could not be completed until 10:30pm (2 1/2 hours AFTER Emergency Physicians Medical closed!!) but Dr Eason-Bates and her staff stayed after hours until she had the results and could properly diagnose me! I could not ask for better care, and would definitely trust them with not only the health of myself, but the health of my family any day! If you are injured, or sick I definitely recommend Emergency Physicians Medical Center!! read more
