There is ample free parking, a nice coffee stand on the 1st floor and a cafe on the 3rd floor. There are lots of areas outdoors to sit on a nice day and just reflect. They scanned her med list... and then didn't give them to her, even when she asked. Forgot to send her GI consult. (The *reason* we went to the ER, and 12 hrs lost). Forgot to stop her bloodthinners (48 hours lost). We asked FOR FOUR DAYS for her breathing meds. They ignored us, even when we told them we wanted it documented. She couldn't breathe, and these idiots *tried to bully her* into surgery with racking, spasming coughs*. Had to push back surgery AGAIN. What should have taken 3 days was a *9 day* stay. THEN -after all this stuff that they knew they screwed up on- they tried to give her the general anesthesia *that her doctor said she could not have as it would kill her*. Oh, and when I wrote down all these concerns and asked to speak to everyone's boss, she avoided me for 5 hours, accused me of "harassment" when I waited outside her office because her shift was ending. She then brought security to my mother's room (to flex on me), and when my 81 year old mother told her, "Well, if you hadn't ghosted her, she wouldn't have had to come look for you," the "Boss" leaned down and yelled in my mother's face. Have pictures of how disgusting it was: filthy doors, blood and what I *hope* was chocolate cake smeared on the floors, a sewage leak from the 2nd floor over the coffee shop that I have reported *for two years running* and is still there (and they KNOW this because they have "cleaned" and painted over it), there was even a *pothole* in the floor with broken chunks of tile in it. Oh, and *they put someone with MRSA* in the room with my 81 yr old, immunocompromised mother. Take your chances on the street. The one thing that i noticed that was different at this office versus last years MRI at a different Shands location, was no mirror by your head to see operator running your test.Also no headphones with music , just ear plugs and foam blocks by your ears. Each locations has different styles of machines, so take that into account when scheduling a scan. I learned that today. The 2 ladies /nurses /technicians did take great care of me and communicated throughout the MRI process with me.

My mom and dad were there and stayed in the hospital room for two weeks. Nurses and doctors taking care of them were very helpful, patient, supportive, and welcoming. Only complaint was the food. The chicken was uneatable, not even my dad would eat (He eats anything hahaha). But yes, the food was decent, just not the chicken. The staff did their best to accommodate to my mom and dad's food selections. Overall, my mom and dad were very pleased with the care provided by their team of doctors and nurses. I said clearly I did not want to come here because of what I had heard about it. I was brought here anyway, and my husband did not even find out where I was until he called Shands and was told I wasn't a patient there. Once I was admitted, I was ignored every time I asked for help. When I pressed the call button, it was consistently ignored, and the one time staff did respond, instead of helping me, I was injected with Haldol against my will and told I was trying to leave. That was not true. I was only trying to find someone to ask why my husband wasn't there yet, since we had been lied to about where I actually was. I never tried to leave the unit. I did not want to be given anything from this hospital in the first place, especially given the sterile equipment problems this facility has publicly dealt with in the past. The food was inedible the entire time I was there. I could not eat it. Based on my own medical records, I weighed just over 163 pounds going in and 158 pounds three days later when I left. I lost over 5 pounds in 3 days simply because I couldn't eat what was provided, and I have the records to prove it.I asked every single day to speak with someone from Patient Advocacy. No one ever came. This was one of the worst experiences of my life, at a moment when I needed real help and safety, not neglect and force. I will be filing formal complaints with state health regulators and the hospital's accrediting body about everything above. I would not recommend this facility to anyone in crisis. I will be reporting my complaints with the appropriate governing bodies.

Seems like either you are short Doctors or you have a very poor process of scheduling. This has happened with Audiology and with Primary Care in the past 2 weeks.
