A fire breaks out in your home and you're 6 hours away. That's what happened to me. Within an hour I got a phone call from Jason from ERX. Within another hour he was at my home assessing damage. Within another hour the electrician was there restoring power after cutting the source of the fire (exhaust fain a bathroom) and had huge hepa filtered fans going. Having personal updates while on that long drive was comforting. Outstanding communication from start to finish with the 6 week process. I cannot thank ERX and the great employees Jason, Amanda, Brandon and Tyler for all their help, compassion and empathy. We as homeowners don't go through this every day, they do. I initially loved the flooring ERX installed in my home in 2024. Unfortunately, my experience with the company has changed significantly, and I am now extremely disappointed with the way ERX has handled an ongoing issue with my floor. Approximately one year after the flooring was installed, a water heater leak occurred, and I began experiencing a serious issue with the flooring separating and sliding apart. ERX came to my home and addressed the problem at that time. Unfortunately, approximately one year later, the exact same issue has occurred again. Since discovering the problem, I have made more than 10 attempts to obtain assistance from ERX. Despite my repeated efforts, I have continually been told that the flooring is no longer under warranty. I am also still waiting for a return call from the manager, Kirk Brown, despite leaving him numerous messages. I understand that warranties have expiration periods. However, I find it extremely disappointed that my concerns have been dismissed solely on the basis of the warranty when the same problem has now occurred again. The fact that the issue returned raises legitimate concerns about whether the underlying installation or repair was ever properly addressed. This is not a matter of ordinary wear and tear. I have owned this type of flooring in my home for more than 20 years and never experienced this issue until ERX became involved with the restoration and installation work in my home. As a woman without professional knowledge of flooring installation, I relied on ERX to perform the work correctly and professionally. I trusted that the company would properly assess the situation and ensure the flooring was installed and repaired correctly. This is my 2nd review about this company ERX 1st of all it has been a nightmares dealing with this company. They will take a lot of short cuts , try to use cheap materials and will tell you it is better that what you have or had, in which if you are not an expert, you can be fooled. I thought our age had something to do with the way we were treated, but reading other reviews that went through the same horrible experience we went through, this is this company work and business ethics. They don't tell the truth, they're not trustworthy at all. They don't have quality products or certified contractors. It took 5 months to finish a 3 to 4?week project ., and it still isn't of good quality, the floors that they stated they could match , they didn't, the quality is different the color is much different. They talked about one another and they pass the buck to one another, and sometimes they completely stop talking to you. I am going to shorten this message . I signed off under distress, due to the fact it began to cause me health problems, anxiety and stress, I had to go to the doctor,' They finish the job to their satisfaction not at all to mine. They will shift everything off on one person normally it is the Iproject manager that oversees the work, his name was Damon, in which he had to work with what they gave him to work with to keep his job with them, I guess? Paul, brandon, and Cam, you guys should be ashame of yourselves on how you do business and treat your customers, it is horrible, and disrespectful, dishonest . Important to know never pay all money up front , you will be treated like crapp, and like you are a second class or no class citizen. I am very dissatisfied and disappointed in the work they completed in my home., because it was to their satisfaction not to mine. The last complete sentence I received from Damon prior to today is I cannot keep coming back and forth to your home, to look at my complaints, I was shock and surprise, because I thought he was different, but he had to keep his job, so my advice is to search around and stay away from this company in-spite of a few good reviews, If they are all honest. I was referred to this company by a plumber I chose , that did not find the problem or fix the problem when he came out. I didn't know that until later on after the project began. We were overcome with the process of going thru our homeowner's insurance company to start a claim to repair carpets, flooring and a ceiling all damaged from a flood in our kitchen thanks to a dishwasher malfunction. ERX and our project manager Damon Rooney were extremely customer service focused and guided us thru the process w/insurance and getting all of the needed repairs and fixes complete. In December 2024 ERX came in after I had water damage. Their equipment took the finish off sections of my wood floor. When I reached out to them, they agreed to repair the damage. That's been 4 months--4 months--and my floor is exactly like it was when the damage was done. ERX has strung me along since January. I've lost track of the number of times I've been promised someone is going to reach out to me to resolve the issue. The last communication I had was when I finally got the Construction Manager to answer the phone. He said he was no longer in charge, and he had passed me off to someone else. Who that was he never said. That was 3 weeks ago and no one from ERX has called me. When I reach out to them I'm always told someone who can help will call. In the last week I've been told twice the General Manger will call me...and he hasn't. Others have noted the poor communication from ERX. I would not grade it as poor. In my case it was nonexistent. This is the second negative review I've posted about this issue. The company asked me to take the first one down since they promised to address my issues. I did that in good faith and now ERX has stopped any effort to fix their mistake. How many other negative reviews have been posted and the company has asked people to remove them? read more

We had a water leak from our upstairs laundry room. The water came through the ceiling and into the downstairs. Firstly, the guys came out to dry the floors. They were great! The we had ERX and Evan was the project manager. We showed him the job and explained that we would like a few additions that we knew we would have to pay more for. He said nothing would be a problem. I felt as though he didn't listen as he ' forgot' everything we had discussed. Brought us samples of the wrong flooring, said that we hadn't asked for extra light fittings or a separate switch. Which meant we had to keep explaining it to the guys who came to do the work. It also took 2 days longer that he had said. The work itself was very good. The Vincente was a very clean, thorough worker. Workers 5 stars, project manager, lost them a star. read more

Not a good company to go through. I had to call them back because the workers did not glue down the flooring and it started to bubble up. The guy the came back had a terrible attitude. Left dirty fingerprints on my walls and the door and did not bother to clean those and also tracked something through the house on the carpet that I was not able to clean completely in some spots. Rebuild of the complete shower was done and looks nice. Shower head that was replaced did not have sufficient flow and NO hot water. Contacted Gerald, the project manager, who repeatedly made excuses for why this was a home owner problem. Gerald finally agreed to send out one of their plumbers. Ten days later with no communication and no plumber, I called our plumber. They came out, took off the shower head and found construction debris in the head. Problem solved. The plumber left a voice mail for Gerald and explained his findings. I told Gerald I would deduct the plumbers fee from the balance I owe and he said ERX was not paying for the plumber because that was not the deal. This company has been very difficult to deal with including getting materials and work done in a timely fashion. March to June and nothing but a fight. Lets not forget that my daughter went without a working shower for that amount of time. Extremely poor customer satisfaction. read more

I would not use the company for any reason they took a 4 month job ended up being 18 month nothing they did was done right they had to redo everything 2 an 3 times Cesar lied all the time. They are crooks an over estimate to get more money for the jobs. They don't do their work they contract people in that don't know what they are doing. This company has been the worst. They were contracted to do siding and paint two of our Charlotte condo buildings. They sub contracted the work out to people who worked half days and extended the 2 week project out to three months. The work was never completed and nobody at ERX seem to care. Single coat paint jobs, uneven shades everywhere, no prep work, and the building looks embarrassing. Trust, they will not take pride in what they do and are poorly run with people who just want to make a buck from what I can tell. read more

Having a horrible time getting our restoration completed. Worse company ever. Do not hire if you want quality work. One small bathroom and it's been over a month and no where near done. Everything was already torn out by Roto Rooter after the leak so all ERX needed to do was the restoration. Our project manager is using people that are not professionals to do the work. Shower panels were installed backwards and they did not clean up their mess. They left it all behind for us to dispose of. Painter arrived and could not speak English so we could not communicate to him what he was doing wrong. Did not strip all the wallpaper off before painting. The worse paint job I've ever seen with bumps and lines and dips and places that were not smoothed out. This too will take a second trip to fix just like the shower installation. Brought in the vanity and bumped door trimming and took paint off there that will have to be repaired. I cannot stress enough how disappointed we are in the service. Every time workers were scheduled to arrive they did not show up. It was days later before they finally made it and then did crappy work. Our project manager would not even respond in a timely manner. My husband called ERX and they said someone would call him back. It's been over a week now and no return phone call yet. I've never been treated so badly when hiring people to do work at my home. NEVER AGAIN. It looks so bad that it appears they are cutting corners to pay cheaper labor and pocket the money. ERX absolutely saved us when we had a bad leak on a Sunday morning right before the holidays. Ty came over and got us all situated before we headed out of town. He was personable, knowledgeable, and worked with us through our travel schedule and followed our whole case, which was great (fewer strangers in and out of the house!). We used ERX for the restoration, and we are extremely satisfied with their repair work and the work of the contractors they sent over as well. I hope we don't have to use this service again, but I'm glad to know they're out there and they're fantastic just in case we do! read more

Our roof was damaged by wind. The insurance company came out, assessed the damage, and gave us money to replace the roof. They also recommended ERX. ERX came out to do their assessment, then disappeared for 4 months. I called them and they said that they closed my file do to no response from me. I never got a call from them. They scheduled an appointment and the person never showed. We then had a severe storm with a tornado touching down in our town. All of this without so much as a tarp over the exposed wood. I contacted them again and they said there was some issue at the company, and it would still be "2 to 3 weeks out for the work to even start". Terrible company. Avoid at all costs! read more

Home Owner and Insurance Companies BEWARE! I used ERX for smoke remediation damage in my home 9/17/18. No one could get to my house to start the work until 7 days later. Initially they tried to save me money, which was great...BUT the solution offered wasn't going to get the smoke out of my house so I worked with insurance company to pull approve a more thorough cleaning/remediation. I helped add and get approved over $10k to their billable services. No problem, right? Wrong! PRETENDED TO DO WORK: A part of the smoke remediation was a full HVAC/A-coil clean-out and filter replacement to remove all smoke scent since my house sat for a week (minus air scrubbers) before the cleaning remediation began. I came back from vacation to discover this was not fully completed, despite the assurance the job was completed and I (plus my Insurance) was billed in full. I find this very dishonest. How can you bill for services in a remediation job and never complete? Home Owners and Insurance companies should beware and carefully check all invoices from ERX for ACTUAL completion. I HANDLED DUTIES THEY WERE RESPONSIBLE FOR: An aspect of the xactimate pricing tool all remediation companies use to quote these jobs is for "client management" which includes insurance negotiation and handling of the claim. I basically did that for ERX. Since I helped negotiate the loss, had to work out details of coverage which ended up increasing the billable total for ERX, etc. (not to mention catching them trying to cheat my Insurance by billing for services not completed and holding them responsible to complete), I asked ERX to partially waive my deductible (little more than $700 on a $12k+ job). HORRIBLE COMMUNICATION: When I raised my grievances and asked for the partial deductible waiver (little over $700) I was told on 11/30/18 by Megan Spires via email that she would discuss with Howard the owner. I never heard back until I got a Collection Letter with notice of potential LIEN ON MY HOUSE on 1/11/19. 45 days after I was promised a direct returned phone call via email I get a collection notice with a lien threat! I would not recommend and will try to spread the "buyer beware" warning as much as possible. Insurance Companies please take note! Double-check your invoices with Home Owners! read more

Don't walk RUN from this company. The restoration work they do is ok, however the renovation services that this company did for me was so bad it is ridiculous. Not only did the project last much longer then they told me it would, but they used sub-contractors to do the work which were not quality craftsman and they made severe mistakes.
