I'd give zero stars if I could, due to the fact that we took our cat to the Emergi-Pet clinic at 12:15 am last night. Shadow was having a respiratory crisis, but the clinic was closed, no sign, no message on the answering machine. Nothing. We had called three times before we drove there & got the answering machine each time, with zero notice that they were closed. Our cat died in their parking lot. Today, I check the clinic's Facebook page, and see they posted a notice yesterday afternoon that they would be closed due to staff illness. That's great - but we didn't think to check Facebook first when our cat was dying. We called, then drove when we couldn't get an answer. Do better for other pet parents. read more

I wish I could have my pets cared for by the staff here, not just for Emergencies. My local vet retired, and I had a horrible experience at a different clinic in town. My dog had an emergency while my vet's office was still open and they said they didn't have an opening until October 15th. They were happy to sell me an antibiotic for $50, and suggested that I call around to see if someone else could do the surgery. We went to Emergi Care where we and our dog were treated with the utmost care and compassion. I couldn't have asked for a better experience during a very difficult medical event. read more

Let's face it -- if your day has taken you to the emergency vet, you are not having a good day. You may also, like us, be at the "whatever it costs" point, which is good thing, because a visit costs $80 or $125 depending on whether it's a holiday. They also have signs around and make you provide information that indicates they are pretty serious about collecting on your bill. We brought our beloved 14 year old dog in the morning of Thanksgiving after he had a very alarming episode. The doctor offered that they could run a number of diagnostics (some of which would need to be repeated from our regular vet the day before, as they didn't have those records), or we could try to make him comfortable for the rest of the day and take him back to the regular vet in the morning. We opted for the latter, and the visit cost around $200 including some medications. Both the doctor and the vet tech were very friendly and seemed quite thorough, though at some point all they can do is make some informed guesses about what's going on. They also assured us that they would be there all night, and that having paid for an office visit, we would not need to pay again for our dog to be seen again. Unfortunately our dog worsened throughout the day and we brought him to be put to sleep that night. It was a very difficult experience, but the vet tech Leila was very compassionate both when I called ahead and in person. We opted to receive his ashes back, which arrived a week later in a small velvet bag. Honestly, it's been really heart-wrenching, but the help we received from Emergi-Pet made things as not terrible as possible. When it came time to make the decision, we knew we wanted to go to Emergi-Pet, where it was calm and quiet, rather than wait in a crowd at our regular vet in the morning. So, while I truly hope that you are never in need of Emergi-Pet's services -- and I would guess that they sit there all night, every night, hoping that no one walks in the door -- I am happy to recommend them for those times when you are in need. read more

First of all I want to say that they took very good care of my dog, I think. The problem I have with them is that they make us wait outside in the 100 degree heat for over 3 hrs, my dog had to stay around an hour of that time. They claim that there was construction going on and I would have to wait outside. I looked around and didn't see any construction, only a 5 gallon paint can was placed at the front door. My belief is, they got used to people having to wait outside during the pandemic and they love that. I understand that they prefer to be with animals more than people, I'm the same, but we humans are paying the bill and we need to be treated with respect too. The pandemic is over so please let us come inside. Also, I don't like my dog getting treatment with me not around, I don't know for sure if they did an xray or urine sample even tho I was charged for it. They got us in quickly, communicated so well as to what our dog's concerns/needs were, and were easy to reach to find out how she was doing during an overnight hospitalization. Our puppy had a seizure. We took her in to see the vet. There was a very small wait and the staff kept us updated throughout the visit. The vet and staff were wonderful and took great care of my baby. I highly recommend them and thank them for everything. read more

I had to take my dog here, in an emergency, on a Sunday, recently. The care was absolutely excellent. The doctor explained every detail of the treatment and instructions for care, and was extremely gentle with my injured dog. For years, I have been sending MULTIPLE friends to this clinic when their pets have needed immediate care and I have taken several rescued animals there as well. Have not heard one complaint about the staff and their care and I cannot sing their praises enough. I also appreciate that they have talked with me by phone numerous times to help me determine whether to bring a pet in. AND my vet speaks very highly of the staff there as well. Took our puppy there only for them to keep her less than 24 hours, (it was more around 15 hours) then send her back home, only for her to suffer and violently die an hour later. When picking up paperwork to take to pathologist, they added a "differential diagnosis" that was never discussed with us, not once. I think they just wanted to cover their assess. ***UPDATE*** We since asked to return the medication we paid $135 for since our puppy didn't even have a chance to take any, and they agreed. After counting every single pill, the office manager said our refund was going to be $45. When asked how that that could be, she stated, "Well, we did administer some while your dog was here." WHAT? Is that not part of the overall OVERNIGHT office visit? It was not until we pulled out the invoice that she immediately corrected the refund amount and blamed it on their "computer system". BS.We also asked to talked to the vet that took care of our puppy that day (since we took our poor baby to Mississippi State to get a full necropsy and found out what happened) and let her know what we were told. We also told her that according to the pathologist, had an x-ray would have been done it could have been caught. She was adamant that they would have not seen it, and that they do not even read the x-rays there, they send them out. She stated that had they did catch it, she was afraid the outcome would have been the same. NO. That means they YOU are incompetent. It also means that even if they did catch it and there was nothing they could do, or things didn't go well in surgery, they couldn't have at least been made our baby comfortable instead of suffering a horrible death. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET THERE IN THIS TYPE OF EMERGENCY. read more

Took my dog here on a Sunday night after he was hit by a car. We did not know if he would even make it through the night. Dr. Tanner was awesome with my boy and did everything she could for him. She was sweet enough to call me every few hours and give me updates until time to pick him up the next morning. Yes, the care was rather expensive but what do expect on a Sunday night at 7:00, the ER for humans is expensive also! It is great to have them their when you need them though. Can't really express in words how awesome the Vet and staff was tonight . To make a long story short- I was over an hour away visiting family when my wife called and said one of our cats - Itty Bitty ( the littlest and baby of our bunch ) - was really sick, told my wife I would call vet- answering machine gave Emergi-Pet # . I called them , of course bring her in but what really impressed me was that I asked them to call me when my wife arrived and keep me informed cause I knew my wife would be really upset --which they did call me without hesitation, unfortunately it was worse case scenario and was gonna be put to sleep, they waited till I arrived from out of town and the bed side mannor the vet and assistant had was as it should be because our cats are more than just animals - they are part of our family - the staff at the clinic seemed to have the same philosophy toward animals as we do. just wish more human Doctors was like the vet here on their bedside manner. The diagnosis and care my pet cat received at 4:30am was exceptional. The doctor and technician were very informative and thorough. Diagnosis was swift and while not the news we hoped to hear, the doctor sat down with us and explained all our options and gave us the time and opportunity to accept the situation. The next evening, around midnight, we had to return to Emeri-Pet with the difficult decision of euthanizing our cat. Different doctor and technician, but the care and compassion shown to us and our pet was outstanding. I will not hesitate to use their services in emergency/non-business hours in the future when any of my pets are in distress. read more

Emergi-Pet was awful. I took my dying cat there not knowing she was going to die right away. It was a weekend so my cat was there 3 nights. She was 15 years old but slept by my head every night. They do not care about your pet, they care about their money. You have to sign waivers, pay 1/2 in full before leaving your pet. I could of had my cat at home holding her & loving her while she passed away. They really don't care. I would give them a "0" if there was one. read more

Terrible customer care! When I arrived I was told there were only two people in front of me and so I'm thinking to myself, "Okay, good. Maybe it won't be a long wait." Boy! Was i wrong! I waited for hours to be put in a room with my poor pooch who was lethargic and not eating or drinking after throwing up twice before bringing her and what i could only describe as a seizure. After staying in the room for another hour and a half or so I finally decided to leave because my pup was finally starting to move around, despite looking and acting like she just saw her grandma naked. When I was leaving I overheard the people at the desk and realized they were just sitting there and ordering a pizza! Overall not a good experience and usually, I would be more considerate of people working because everyone has things going on, but this is my doggo we're talking about and I truly believe better care should be given to a person and their best friend. read more

Took my puppy there last night because he was choking and then proceeded to have trouble breathing at the time. The doctor on call was dr. Lee-wendt. First they answered my questions concerning my dogs condition very vaguely and with no assurance in anything, not even their own words. I didn't have a choice so I paid the expensive exam fee and saw the "vet". She wasn't any more help, she did a physical exam, then described a complicated and undoubtedly overpriced procedure that would probably have to be done. After of course they took X-rays, at thisDont alone the bill would have been over 250 for the exam and X-rays, that does not include the procedure. I opted not to have anything done because it was outrageously priced and I doubted their competence. Everyone of my questions was answered with a smoke and mirrors vague answer that left me more confused. Long story short, saw my regular vet in the morning, he gave the puppy a clean bill of health, said his airways were great, lungs sounded good and his heart was good. He gave him an anti inflammatory just in case. Walked out if his office feeling great and with a small 60 dollar dent, which is nothing compared to the bill at emergi pet. Basically they are incompetent and unknowledable, money hungry and wish to do nothing more than cover their own behind when it comes to treatment. Dont go there, can't trust them and I doubt they will actually fix an issue with your pet without causing more or sending you into bankruptcy first. read more
