    Vegan pasta dish. Very tasty!
    Louisa M.

Suffering from serious jet lag and a severe case of the hangries, Emilia's was a beacon of happiness on a cold, rainy December night in London. This cute little neighborhood Italian restaurant was just what we were looking for. Located across the river and tucked away in a nondescript row of restaurants, we were happy that they could accommodate us so late at night without a reservation. The restaurant is very tiny and cramped, so you will be bumping into the patrons next to you. We could see the bustling kitchen cranking out fresh, handmade pasta, so I knew what I had to order! The menu was very limited but appealing, so we started with the housemade burrata appetizer. This was absolutely delicious, fresh and creamy with a good, chewy bite. It was served with crusty sourdough bread and olive oil, which will brought all the mild flavors together. It cost around 11 pounds, which was in line with the quality. Most of the dishes seemed like very simple Italian comfort food. They had a couple of daily specials (one had sold out for the day), and our server told us that everything was made fresh in house and made to order. The kitchen pairs particular styles of pasta with each sauce, so go with an open mind to try different pasta shapes. My husband isn't a pasta fan, but he was a trooper. He ordered the pappardelle with the handmade bechamel bolognese sauce (the kitchen crafts it fresh every day, cooking it for 4 hours to seal in the flavors). He said the sauce was "good," which is a pretty big compliment from him, LOL. I got the vegan radiatori pasta with tomato sauce and fresh basil. So simple, and so delicious! I now wish I had done something a little more exotic, but I was starving and that was literally the first thing listed on the menu. My pasta was perfectly cooked al dente, and the sauce was so bright, fresh, and full of tomato goodness. It wasn't over sauced either, and the ridges in my pasta meant a good ratio of pasta to sauce in every bite. I ate the entire bowl. The portions are on the smaller side, especially if you're used to massively gigantic American restaurant portions. I didn't leave hungry at all, and my dish was oh-so-satisfying. Europeans don't do leftovers like we do in the U.S., so order a few appetizers or salads if you are particularly starving for dinner. Service was fast but we weren't rushed at all. Lots of locals were dining and lingering over glasses of wine. The atmosphere is nothing fancy, but it's comfortable and cute. Normally we'd hit up a traditional neighborhood pub or at least Indian food while in London, but after a nearly 15 hour day of traveling, we wanted something fresh and light for our unsettled stomachs. This was not the time for fried fish and chips or a heavy stout (that would come later in the trip)! If you are looking for something fresh and tasty, this is the place.

Absolutely delicious. We had dinner here before a show at the London bridge theater (a short walk away). It's tucked away in the docks area but after a little redirection from a helpful stranger we found it. The drinks and food were great. The view of the water and people watching while sitting in the window was nice. It is quite small inside so seating is tight. Overall, would recommend and will add it to my London list!

This is a super cute spot for lunch on a summer day. You have to walk a bit to actually find the entrance. Small inside but outdoor seating is mostly covered. Would need a reservation for dinner but we were good for a 1pm lunch on a Friday. Here's what we had: Bruschetta: super fresh Ingredients; you can taste the quality of the tomatoes and olive oil. Total hit! Ricotta and lemon ravioli: a springtime special for sure! Bright flavors and colors. Beautiful green against the white of burrata and yellow lemon was gorgeous to look at. The Pasta itself could have been cooked more because it was a bit too al dente for me BUT the sauce with peas, lemons and burrata was wonderful! Fresh tasting ingredients even down to the peas, which usually taste like nothing. Sauvignon blanc was great with this one. Cacio e Pepe: very nice, true truffle flavor. I think the pasta was a touch undercooked but hubby said it was perfect for him. I just thought it was a bit...gummy, that's all. Black pepper flavor was also doing well and holding its own against truffle so it was well balanced. Sauvignon blanc went well with this dish also. Not a bad walk from the Tower of London area on a clear day, we walked over after doing Tower of London tour and it was like 15 minutes at a leisurely pace. You can walk all that pasta off by taking a stroll on nearby tower bridge too!

Cute little restaurant near the Tower Bridge and St Katherine's dock. Food was delicious. Home made pasta was rustic and fresh. The pesto was absolutely out of this world too. The staff here were very helpful with answering some of questions about how items were prepared.

There are a plethora of restaurants and bars in the St Katherine's Dock are of London close to Tower Hill. One of my favorites is Emilia's Crafted Pasta. A small place with friendly and great service and a good menu. I'm neat at the bar and watched the chefs at work. I had an arugula salad and the delicious ravioli. A great place to hang out with friends over wine and pasta.

Wow! With great reviews from the Yelp community I can always find the best food in town! This place is a hidden gem! The pasta is amazing! This has to be the best pasta in London. Maybe I should say it's the best I've eaten there! Ok so let me start at the beginning. Cute little spot with a water view and heated outdoor seating . The service was super fast and the staff was great! listening to other recommendations I had the bolognese . I also got an order of sour dough with olive oil. This place is outstanding if you are in town you have to give it a try!

I had lunch at Emilia's, and honestly, I was expecting a lot more based on the reviews. The service was solid, and you really can't beat the location with their outdoor tables overlooking St. Katharine Docks -- but the food was pretty underwhelming. I ordered the smoked salmon carbonara and it missed the mark. The pasta was undercooked (nowhere near al dente), and the sauce wasn't made in the traditional carbonara style. It was way too creamy. The rocket salad was decent, especially at £5, but some of the olives still had pits, which was a bit of a surprise. It didn't chip my tooth, but let's just say it definitely wasn't pleasant. The espresso with grappa at the end was probably the highlight, but for over £40, I left feeling like I didn't quite get my money's worth. At least it was a casual lunch and not a dinner!

    Truffle Pasta

It was delicious and super cozy! I loved the truffle pasta and was extremely full after. You can customize the noodles in any dish, and the servers are super kind! If you're looking for decent prized, yummy pasta, go here! We tried the truffle pasta (9/10) which had rich truffle flavor, but a tad bit too salty, the tuna pasta (9.7/10) which was savory, salty and spicy! We also had the bolognese (8/10) which had flavorful noodles and bold sauce!

Hands down one of my favorite restaurants we stopped at in London! Very cute and cozy interior, not many tables so I would highly recommend a reservation. You can see the kitchen the whole time while you dine which I thought was cool. As for service, the food and drinks came out very very quick. Theres not many options for drinks, they have the basic wines but there's only a couple beer options. As for cocktails the menu is also limited, and our waiter was our bartender. The Hugo Spritz was served with a pasta straw which I thought was a cute touch. I loved my drink! The appetizers were excellent, my only wish is that there were more options but I think the menu is just limited since it is a smaller restaurant. I would definitely recommend the burrata. The pasta selection was excellent, it felt like there was something for everyone on the menu. Pasta is homemade and tasted so fresh, my bolognese was filling but the perfect portion where I was able to finish it without feeling too full. Dessert menu had many options, I absolutely loved the pistachio gelato and the pistachio cheesecake. Overall I would highly recommend this restaurant for a fun dinner with friends or even a date night!

Moderate pasta at best. We ordered the burrata, the green beans, the bolognese, the pesto and the carbonara. The appetizers were better than the entrees in my humble opinion. Traditional carbonara has black pepper but this carbonara had no pepper and it was very creamy. It was extremely heavy. The bolognese was a bit too salty and the pesto wasn't special either. The service was spectacular and the ambiance screamed cute date night.

Must try when in London!! Tiny place with a small menu. Every pasta we ordered was fresh and delicious. Great service. Incredible!!

Located on St. Katherine's Docks, the interior is cozy. There's a few tables to allow for indoor seating. I would recommend making a reservation if you can. Carbonara with pancetta, pecorino DOP and beaten eggs (5/5): so yummy. The pasta was the perfect al dente. It wasn't too firm yet provided so much chew. The sauce was absolutely delicious and so creamy. The pancetta was great too. The saltiness of it paired well. Overall, Emilia's crafted pasta is delicious. The food is absolutely amazing and the service is good.

We started off with a couple of Hugo cocktails, which are prosecco with elderflower. Just lovely. I don't usually say lovely but I think England is rubbing off on me. We then ordered the burrata with grilled sourdough. I have to say we have had some outstanding sourdough bread here in England. This was no different, it was grilled and splashed with a little bit of olive oil and sea salt. The broader itself was good and together it was fantastic. Then we each had a pasta dish. I wanted to get the carbonara, but my wife was getting it so I ordered the bolognese instead. My wife loved her dish. It was fantastic, maybe the best carbonara I've ever had. My dish was good, but not amazing. It was lacking a little salt. I fixed that by taking some of the pancetta from my wife's dish and adding it to mine. Then for dessert we had pistachio cheesecake. It truly was amazing. The bottom layer was regular cheesecake which was super creamy, the way I like it. Then there was a layer of pistachio cream or something. I don't really know how to describe other than delicious. Then topped with chopped pistachios. The only description for this dessert is fantastic. They had another unique dessert that I had to try even though I really wasn't in the mood for dessert. Chocolate salami. It kind of look like a blood pudding, though thankfully no blood was involved. It was chocolate with pieces of biscuits made into a log and then sliced to look like sausage slices. The chocolate wasn't really like chocolate from a candy bar. It was very good. It tasted like chocolate but had a different consistency and I can't quite figure out what it is but it tasted good. Overall, this is our second great dinner in London.
