I took two clocks for repair - a cuckoo clock which needed a cleaning and a Schatz anniversary clock that needed cleaning and attaching of the provided spring. His wife conducts the business arrangements on the phone. They are from Ukraine and barely speak English, but do appear to understand it. When I tried to explain what I wanted they said "just give me clock, I fix". Both were to be done within 2-3 weeks. The cuckoo took over a month, I was told it needed a part to be manufactured for it, but not which part. It cost over $300. They only accept cash. After a discussion I received a receipt with little info on it other than the amount. I asked about a warranty and was told one month, but it is not written. The Schatz has now been held hostage for over two months. I was given the price on the phone of over $250 but still waiting for it to be done. Amazingly, they have several plaques hanging on the wall - "Best of Charlotte County" for businesses of their type. I'm looking here at one star reviews going back 4 1/2 years and they have not gotten any better. Find another repair shop. read more

We also took a ships clock and 3 pocket watches he would only take cash and when he called to say they were ready picked and nothing was done to any of the pocket watches or the small Salem ships clock. I took to the Watch doctor and he opened both of the pocket watches and showed me that they were not touch or cleaned. Took my coo coo clock to be repaired. It cost $150. and had to be cash. The repair did not last 2 months. I just took it to someplace else and I was shown where the insides had been soddered in two places and due to that I have to replace the entire workings. Avoid this place as they apparently have no idea what they are doing.. hence the cash only payment. read more

I would avoid this business at all costs. The cost to "repair" and clean three antique pocket watches was over $500 and he would only take cash. The fact it was cash only should have been a tip off. I took the watches to another repair shop only to find out one watch still needs a new spring, another was not cleaned and the third had WD40 sprayed inside.
