I knew I had to go with her but can admit I had a lot of questions and needed what I imagine was more guidance than some clients throughout - but Kiersten was a DREAM to work with every step of the way! She was incredibly responsive and communicative. She responds quickly to emails, is genuinely open to questions/ideas/uncertainties, and really wants to understand what her clients are looking for to make sure everyone loves the final products. She listens, asks good questions (has a great and comprehensive form you fill out before the shoot!), encourages you to share what you're feeling or worried about or thinking and then works with you every step of the way. We even had to reschedule once due to weather and I was going to reach out to her but she emailed me first to check in and then easily helped me reschedule without any issues all in a very timely manner. She's also really put me at ease and is so affirming, patient, understanding and a joy to be around. I thought I'd feel self-conscious during the shoot but it was so fun and lighthearted and she brought such great energy and ideas that I knew I was in good hands. Finally, she truly goes ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure the experience/process are as enjoyable as the products/outcome. I know I was so particular in what I was looking for to the extent that small and subtle differences resonated a lot for me and she worked with me in a really personalized way. She just really wants you to love the photos no matter it takes and goes above and beyond in terms of listening, coming prepared, and and taking the time to cull, choose, edit your photos. First of all, my husband and I were living in Ellensburg when we hired her to do our engagement and wedding photos. She is based out of Bellevue. Not only did she drive all the way over the mountains to do our engagement photos at no charge, she even followed us out into the Roslyn wilderness to hike around to get our pictures in the woods where we wanted them. All of this, while in a leg cast! We tried to let her take it easy, but she insisted she was just fine! She hobbled up hills and over logs all to get us the best pictures and she had the best sense of humor and attitude about it! Then, on our wedding day (which was in Leavenworth so again she had to travel quite a ways), she was even more amazing. Her and her husband had to put up with some pretty obnoxious groomsmen and she just laughed and stayed patient. She was fun, positive, and simply wonderful. When we arrived we were greeted right away and the fun began. We were put in outfits and placed in some great scenes. It felt like I was on a movie set. The entire time Lance and Trixie were working with us, we felt like the stars of the show. In the end we got some great photos that made a math teacher look good (Lance has a great eye behind the lens), but we also got some great stories. During that first meeting, Stephanie made sure to walk through the general look and feel of what she'd be doing during our wedding.
