Emma is a very talented make up and hair artist. She came recommended to me by one of my friends who had hired her for her wedding a few years prior and I'm so happy I found her. Her pricing is the best in town. You can tell she does this because it's her passion. I hired her for a hair and makeup trial the day we went to court to get our marriage license, and it was perfect because I was able to use the trial makeup and hair for some photos. If you are short on cash, skip the trial because you can trust that she's going to do an amazing job! She's got creativity, style and speed. I showed her my dress and she helped me decide what kind of hair and makeup to do. For the trial/court day, she gave me a classic look, with the wavy curls and half pinned up hair and I loved it! For our court day, I bought a bunch of inexpensive veils online and she helped me pick a cute one to use for that day. It was really important for me to have a natural look for my actual wedding day, and she achieved that flawlessly. The make up / no make up look is very hard to achieve and she did it beautifully. All through the night I received so many compliments on my hair and makeup. I absolutely loved my updo, and I thought she mastered my eyes really well (especially since they are not quite symmetrical!). She also helped me place my veil in my hair since no one knew how to do it. On the day of the actual wedding, she came to our Airbnb early in the morning and did hair and make up skillfully and quickly by herself. I went to her place for both the trial and the day of the wedding to do my hair and makeup. Due to covid, she was really cautious and wore a mask the entire time which made me feel really safe and relaxed. I really like her style of makeup. It doesn't feel caked on or heavy at all. Emily did my wedding hair and makeup, including my 4 bridesmaids and my mom. I also had her stay longer to have her change my look between the tea ceremony and my church ceremony. We started at 5:30am in the morning, and she and her assistant Zoey both showed up on time and ready to go. They did an excellent job with making all my bridesmaids look so beautiful. I have never seen my girls and my mom look so beautiful! One of my bridesmaids has really frizzy hair, and they still were able to make her hair look like the others. I needed my hair and makeup done and Emily was available at the last minute. I contacted her on a Thursday to inquire about her Saturday availability and she responded within hours. I was a little hesitant about how everything would turn out since I never had a trial but it came out great. She does charge a rush fee (booking with less than a week's notice) and an early bird fee (I started at 530am). She also charges a $50 travel fee but if you meet her in her home studio you can save some cash. Her pricing includes lashes which is a plus.
