Akankcha was incredible with hair and makeup for my e-shoot. She did a beautiful job and I was really happy with that part of the service. I also paid for saree pleating, which was done by Ruchi. I had requested the pallu to be left open, so I did not expect pleats there. However, I did expect the pleats on the lower/skirt portion to be properly pressed and finished. Unfortunately, that wasn't done. When I pointed it out, she used a hair straightener to try to fix it, but it still did not achieve the polished, professional pleated look I was hoping for. At this point I was running late for my shoot so I had to leave. When the photos came back, it was noticeable in the pictures, and family and friends commented on it as well. That was disappointing, especially for such an important shoot. I would not return for saree pleating. I also offered to bring my saree ahead of time to get it pleated in which she declined and said no need (even when I mentioned for clean pleats). read more

Ruchi did my non bridal makeup and hair for a maternity photoshoot. Photos and mu look turned out great. My curls got loose and hair got a bit frizzy by the time of the shoot but it was pouring down rain that day so im chalking it up to that. Make up stayed on well and my false lashes also did not feel heavy at all as opposed to other makeup artists i have tried. Ruchi was very professional and works very quickly with reasonable prices. She was also very nice to drop me at my car as it was raining heavily and i couldn't find a closer parking spot. Aakanksha, our makeup artist, was incredible at hair and makeup. Ruchi, however, was extremely unprofessional. We had booked her team to do my and my mother's makeup for my brother's wedding, and on the day of the sangeet, an incredibly busy day for which we did not have much time to spare in getting ready, Ruchi told us she would have 2 MUAs for me, my mom, my sister in law and her mother, by 2:30. At 2:30 only one artist came, and worked on my sister in law's mother. Almost an hour passed of us waiting around for the other artist to arrive, and we were feeling very frustrated and anxious at the time being wasted. We called Ruchi to investigate what had happened, and she was very condescending over the phone -- she kept saying "its okay don't be stressed, be relaxed" and kept saying her artist would be there at 3:30, then she said 4, and was interrupting me and not letting me speak at all, all of which I found very disrespectful. She said "no one can predict traffic" when the traffic her artist was stuck in was rush hour traffic, which they should have time managed for.
