CONSUMER ALERT! In West Jordan there is an inflated price fixing monopoly between emission testing stations. Specifically, EMISSIONS PLUS and BATEMANS. These stations are $20 higher than reputable emission facilities around the valley. Both business charge $60 for older vehicle emission testing for cars made before 1996 and $45 for newer cars when other centers, like CURT'S EMISSION AND CAR WASH, charge only $40 for older vehicles and $35 for newer. So don't get ripped off. Shop around. There is a lot better choices out there. read more

I was so thoroughly impressed yesterday! I have been postponing getting my emissions testing done because I know that it takes some time and I didn't want to go and have to sit and wait. I decided just to find the one closest to me on my way to work and I called emissions plus, they answered very quickly and said I could come any time so I went there and in less than 10 minutes they had my registration renewed, emissions testing done, and I was on my way into work, and I could not be happier I will thoroughly be recommending them to everyone read more

The gentlemen and his helper here are quick and always get my registration or emissions done in 10 mins. I have 3 cars that I've been bringing here for a couple years. I'm always in and out. He is straight to the point and direct. Technical and very knowledgeable in his field. I see previous reviews and it doesn't align with all my experiences. Some people just might be sensitive to quiet and direct people. They are here to do a job, not to have conversation and make friends with you. These guys are good people. I will continue to go here. Went there to get a emissions test and was treated absolutely Horribly!! worst experience I have had! I have never been so disrespected like i have when i went here. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. My sister went to get her emissions done for the first time and the man who served her was rude and condescending to her the whole time. I wish we knew his name because we would call and demand an apology. Don't go here unless you want to be belittled and leave feeling terrible. read more

I came in on the last day of the month to get my emissions done. I was in and out within 10 minutes. They accepted the coupon I printed with no issues. Service was quick but staff was rude. They wouldn't let me use a coupon from THEIR OWN website because it wasn't printed in paper. When I asked why, the employee rudely responded "well that's just policy, okay?". Well that's a dumb policy and I will not be coming back. Pretty much anywhere else will except a coupon online. read more

Went in to pay for new registration on our car. As soon as we walk in, the guy (Chris) stares at us and does not say a word. I give him he registration and still no word. We then ask how much will it cost and he says "look at the paper below". We then ask is there an additional cost and he laughed and said of course. Our issue isn't with an additional cost but the rude behavior of the person behind behind the counter. We have been going here for years and will never go again based off our experience. Lost a customer for life! read more

My husband came in today 8/2/2017 at 5:47 pm (before they closed) and the long haired guy refused service due to the fact their cut off time is 5:45 pm. Not only did they refuse service but the guy was VERY rude. We have ALWAYS done our business here since they pass pretty much anything and now we will NEVER come here again. Do NOT do business with these RUDE people. read more

I went into the office after the wash to notify of the issue. I asked if I could use an air compressor or if they would put my car on the lift so I could change the flat tire quicker. I was told that there was not an air compressor on site, the lift was "broken" nor were there any tools available to change my tire. I had a work appt that I needed to get to and would have appreciated some help with the unforeseen flat tire. One of the workers walked out to the bay to check for any sharp objects, nails or screws that could have caused this damage. Nothing was seen, I explained that I believe the flat was caused by the metal leads on the ground since the damage was on the side wall or the tire. There were 2 able body workers just sitting in the lobby that could have helped me but refused to. I was told sorry but have a good rest of your day. So I drove over to the Maverick Gas Station across the street to change my flat tire. Surprisingly, 3 people came up and offered to help me. Random strangers are willing to help me and not the employees of a car wash that damaged my tire.

On days where it's at least 3 people, you can be in and out in about 30 mins or less. This is a family owned business. As most of the individuals are related to each other besides the receptionist sometimes. Folks here are nice, there was an issue I had about two years ago with the older gentleman that did my emissions, I took an SUV for testing and when I left I noticed he fat fingered the mileage for my vehicle on the certificate. So I went back and had him fix it (since I didn't want any mileage discrepancies to happen with my vehicle) and when I returned, he redid my vehicle and sent me off, I checked it while I was driving and it was fat fingered again so I went back and he had to redo my vehicle again. Regardless that issue took about 2 hours in total to get it fixed. He said it didn't matter and was a bit grumpy about it but I want things in order and wouldn't want any issues down the future. Since we've been coming here for about 5-6 years now, prices have gone up but I think that's just how it is for all emission places. Would recommend this place to others.

This is one of the first negative reviews I've ever written for a business, and I'm doing so after…read moremuch careful consideration because although I feel truly wronged, I dont want to make trouble for anyone. That said, having just made the first of many credit card payments for work I never would have had done given the full scope of what my vehicle needed, I feel compelled to prevent this from happening to anyone else. While the actual work done here seems fairly competent, the diagnostic process seems about as accurate as playing darts blindfolded. I brought my car in because it was creaking misfiring, and the check engine light was on. I told them that I believed my engine mounts were worn out and that I also needed a diagnoses for the misfiring. They told me that the cause for the misfiring was likely that my spark plugs and ignition coils were worn out, because that usually happens around 100k miles and my vehicle was past that. I agreed to have them replaced along with new engine mounts, to the tune of $2,600. I was told that after this my vehicle would be like a totally different car. The very next day, my car misfired again and the check engine light came back on. When I brought it back, they informed me that they don't have any way of knowing this fo sure, but I probably actually had a blown head gasket. I brought my car to a different mechanic shop who did a full and complete diagnostic from bumper to bumper and took photos of everything wrong with the car- from a blown head gasket to a leaking transmission to almost completely worn wheel bushings and a host of other problems totaling over $8,200 in addition to the $2,600 I had already paid at Red Rock Auto. Had I known this in the first place, I never would have paid $2,600 on a doomed old van that needed almost $11,000 in work done. I had to buy a new van and that $2,600 would have really helped with the down payment. I'm tempted to say that I feel duped, but I don't think there was any malice or fraud going on- just general laziness or incompetence in the diagnostic process that very negatively affected me.
