We brought our son for the very first time when he was 6 months. He was a little shocked at first but he is one and a half now and loves it! He knows how to grab on the wall, holds his breath under water for 9 seconds! He loves it. Swim teachers for water babies are so nice and understanding. Our son is really learning how to swim, it's the coolest thing we have done so far with him. It is pretty pricey for one class a week, this is the only down side. I am writing on behalf of my sister and niece. She's 4 years old and doesn't have much experience in the water - and after one lesson with this school, she is now terrified and screaming "I'm going to drown" when she's close to a pool. There was ZERO introduction to the teacher or water - she was just grabbed and thrown in like they were part of an assembly line. My family asked for a session where they could actually focus on bonding her with the teacher and water - and they scheduled for a day when nobody was there (which is just irritating and rude... my mom scheduled her one day off around this) and then has been ghosted when asked to reschedule. We've now asked for a refund and have also been ignored. I just don't think this place holds strong morals or integrity - being grabbed by a stranger and thrown into water as a 4 year old is traumatizing. Would not recommend. 0/10. read more

I can not say enough good about this swim school. My 5yo was TERRIFIED of water before starting classes here and now she is swimming in her own and diving to the bottom of the pool. They're so kind and they start off slow and make the kids feel so comfortable and confident in the water then they gradually make them more and more independent. They water is extra warm and it's just the perfect atmosphere for little ones to gain confidence and skills in the water. Highly recommend! read more

Back in my day, you simply got thrown into the pool to learn how to swim. My family, husband, friends all learned to swim that way. Well, with my kids it wasn't that simple. Throw daughter in and she would sink to the bottom looking at you like "what next?" They are 8 now and it's time they learn. Husband and I grew up near the coast and always in the pool or ocean so we are used to it. Living in NTX to me it really didn't matter if they knew how or not, but we go on vacations to the beach and one day may move near the coast. The kids just wasn't grasping it with just the two of us...so enters Emler. Over the summer, they did two weeks worth of lessons. It's kinda pricey, but my husband and grandma wouldn't quit nagging me about swimming lessons, so I did it. I love to swim so once I had a baby I was so excited to find out that there are swim lesson for babies. I started searching around on the web to see what everyone offers. It was kind of difficult at first but the more I looked the easier it got because some of the website weren't user friendly or all the information was all over the place, size of the classes were to big, when I called to ask questions the person on the phone wasn't helpful, way too much money, etc. I could really go on that is the crazy part. I finally found Emler and then someone told me about them too. I checked the website it was very easy to understand, broken down in categories it had pictures and videos. I was impressed on how swiftly I could navigate through the website. I did see that they had a free orientation so I called to schedule one and to find out the pricing. The lady on the phone was very pleasant and helpful she explained everything to me and answered all my question I had. I waited for my fiancé to get off work so we could go see the place, when we got there the ladies at the front desk were welcoming we talked for awhile she explained how everything works and then gave us a tour. It finally came time to go to swim I was very excited we checked in and she told us which side our class was on I got my baby changed and we went to class. OMG!!! If I tell you my baby had so much fun splashed and played and laughed it was great! So I couldn't wait for him to start and go back. The teacher was awesome so when we signed up we decide to get in her class. Ms. Marrisa she is so sweet and knowledgeable of her job also the best part she is good with the babies. I love that its a small class so it feels like its a one on one session. I like getting there earlier so I can watch the other kids to see how they do and what to expect so when my son gets there it will be an easy transition. Watching the other teachers and how they interact the with kids is amazing! I am so happy I choose this school for my baby to get swim lessons I wouldn't change it for the world and I continue to tell everybody about Emler!!! read more

My 2 year attended a 12 week session at Emler water babies this spring. We decided to get her enrolled due to a summer vacation and wanted her to be comfortable in the water. I am amazed by her confidence and skill she has developed! She is able to swim independently through the water for about 7 feet. We've had a great experience with this Emler school. My daughter started around 3 and has been here over a year now. She used to be scared and I had to be in the pool with her, but now she's perfectly comfortable with just her teacher. The classes are repetitive and structured, very appropriate for her age. The teachers are great and you can tell they enjoy what they do. Our family suggested we just throw her in the pool, because apparently that's how everybody learned to swim back in the day. But nothing beats peace of mind knowing my daughter is taught pool safety, and proper technique. read more

North of my daughters attend and they love it. The prices are reasonable and the girls love their instructors.

We put both our 2 and 4 year-olds through their instruction, and were extremely happy with the result. Our younger was comfortable in the water without floatation at the end of a week, and our older was swimming 15 feet unaided by the end of two weeks with zero previous instruction. The only two very minor negatives were that the instructor schedules get a little hectic and it's a tiny bit pricey, but their wonderful attitudes more than make up for it, and you definitely get what you pay for. A special shout-out to Hannah for being so wonderful, up to and including sticking around after her last lesson to say goodbye to the kids during a make-up when we had to finish a day early. read more

I can't say enough good things about the staff and the programs at this campus. They are welcoming and kind and work hard. My daughter started classes unable to put her face in the water, scared to death. She also is on the spectrum with Language Delay Disorder. They are so patient and so organized. I don't typically write reviews but the Fort Worth Emler school is worth writing about. Within three weeks both my 4 and 5 year old were making huge strives in the pool. My 4 year started out so frightened that he wouldn't even get in the water. We went twice without him ever getting into the pool. Caitlin and Julia treated him with such kindness, patience and grace that once he agreed to get in - he loved it from that moment on. Caitlin made it a fun "superhero" game and it gave him such incredible confidence that we as parents, saw carrying over in other aspects of his life. Julia is such a wonderful leader - taking good care of every swimmer and their parents. She makes people feel like family. I cannot say enough good things about this place.
