I attended my nieces and nephew's class to see how they operate at Emler, since I plan on signing up my almost 2yr old in swimming classes. I had heard mixed reviews so i got a glimpse into their operations. I have to say, it was a decent experience. Clean and spacious swim school, instructors seemed knowledgeable and were good with the kids from my observation. Pricing is reasonable and they are open pretty late, which is great to accommodate for working parents. I'm definitely trying it out for classes for my daughter. Went for a first class on a Sunday and not ONE person was at the front desk to instruct us on anything! Stood in the front for 15 min waiting for someone to help, tried calling no one answered. Didn't know where to go, what to do, show us changing rooms what class he would be in for the session so just left. How do they expect you to pay for something like that?! We like some things about this location and school in general. There are some lack of flexibility with the plans but manageable, some of the instructors are really nice which is why we have remained, however tonight we arrived at class and there was a parent in the pool with the group, I thought it was odd because this isn't a beginners class. The kid seemed to be newer and was crying the entire time which on top of the parent in the water was disruptive to the group. I was not happy with the way it was, or wasn't handled and considering I have been on the fence about continuing will stop after this month. We choose this location based on convenience, we have been to better ran places so I would recommend reviewing options before committing to an unlimited plan. read more

The amount of instruction that happens during the 30 min lesson with 4 children is minimal and not worth the cost. Also, the instructor spends too much time messing with flippers and goggles. Parents should be held accountable for making sure their kid is properly equipped prior to class. Parents show up late (very late) and just throw the flippers and goggles at the instructor (if they even show up with goggles) and waste all the other kids time. Late arrivals should not be permitted. read more

I'm leaving reviews everywhere I can. DO NOT get robbed by this company. They are overly expensive and INFLEXIBLE. Be aware they have a NO REFUNDS policy, even if you can no longer afford their crazy prices. For two kids to attend a 30-minute lesson once a week, I paid $50 per lesson. Since they weren't the only kids in the class, my kids probably got 10 minutes of actual swim instruction during that time. I spoke to multiple managers to explain that my financial situation changed and I could no longer make it to the classes, but received 0 human compassion. I don't know of ANY other children's activity organization that would operate in this manner. I'm truly disappointed at the lack of compassion and understanding. The swim coaches themselves were sweethearts and my kids loved them dearly. $50 for 10 minutes -- if you can afford it, go ahead. read more

We had only one class at this location. Pros: The people at the front desk were very helpful and friendly. The Deck Manager was kind and took time to ask if we had any questions and if our daughter was doing ok, which we appreciated. There was ample space in the waiting area, and everything was clean. The teachers were warm and kind and were patient with my kiddo when she was slow to warm up to the water. Cons: They are located directly next door to a nail salon, and the entire place smells VERY strongly of nail polish/remover. That smell, plus the chlorine, gave me a huge headache while waiting for my kid. I couldn't justify having my big kid, my little baby, and myself breathing in those fumes weeks after week. So, we are sadly switching locations. I'm not sure how they can fix this, but it can't be healthy for the kids or the staff. read more

We had my daughter's 7th birthday party here and although we've never done lessons with this company, we were happy. The location is very clean and the staff was kind. Lots of pool space and a very big area for food and cake after. The only thing I was a little frustrated with, which is my error, is that the kids have to do a swim test across the short length of the pool to swim without a life jacket. Just make sure you read the contract and are aware of this because I never let the parent know and we had a few kids in tears about wearing a life jacket. This would have been 5 stars because the facility is very nice, the instructors are great and my daughter loved her swim lessons. She started with the free baby program and moved into Baby and Me I. However, I have docked 1 star for the fact that in our two months of lessons here, the water temp was very inconsistent in the baby pool. It started when something went wrong with the baby pool, and we started having lessons in the big pool, which is colder. After that, some days the water would be really warm, but comfortable, but most days it was so cold that my LO would be visibly shivering with blue lips 15 minutes into her session. I mentioned this to staff multiple times but whatever problems they had were not fixed by the time we switched locations. Unfortunately when I went back to work, I had to reschedule her lessons. Due to lack of availability we moved to the Schertz location, which is not as nice. Had I been to the Schertz location first, I don't believe we would have stayed with Love to Swim. I will write more about the Schertz location under their page. Due to the fact that my LO began daycare around about the same time we switched, she was off and on sick with ear infection/cold/etc. I could not in good conscious bring her to a pool around other babies in her condition. Although both facilities allow you to make up sessions, it got to the point that she was unable even to attend those sessions because she was sick. Therefore, I decided to cancel her lessons until cold/flu season was over and she stabilized. We missed more than a month and a half of lessons, but due to their payment policy, we had to pay for all those lessons she did not attend and was not able to make up. I spoke with the onsite staff, who said that I would need to cancel with their online form, providing the reason for cancellation, and I could air my grievances there. I asked if there was a way that I could get refunded for those lessons and was told that someone from management would contact me after the form was sent, and received by management. Well to date, I have received no follow up email, no phone call, no contact whatsoever, and especially no refund. I've docked another two stars because of lack of the basic courtesy of contact. Thus, I will never spend another dime with this company and will vigorously advise anyone against the company. As an aside, I shudder to think how many parents bring their children/babies to lessons when they are still contagious because they don't want to pay for an unused lesson. read more

My oldest went here and is now one of the stars in his swim team. Our youngest still goes here and learning life-saving lessons. Both of them started when they were 1 year old. I trust this school implicitly in the way they ensure their lessons focus on the prevention of drowning from the beginning, then to higher skills. I am more at peace when near water with my boys, knowing they have been trained well. I highly recommend Love to Swim! Great staff. Great experience! read more

My family has been going to this swim school for over two years and we love it! My daughter absolutely loves the coaches (specifically coach Mallory and Claudia)! They make us feel welcome every week and genuinely seem to care about my children. They teach vital swim safety for kids and help make summers in Texas so much more comfortable now that we have water education and safety skills. It stars as a great bonding in the baby and me classes and evolves into a great learning environment for older kids. We love going here! read more

It is sad that they wouldn't even consider a refund for my child's lessons and fee even with us not attending a single class. My daughter had changed her mind about swimming and I called to cancel before we even had a lesson. Sorry for the inconveniece I had placed on their business. They should be more considerate too. This had taught me to consider how some businesses tend to be more focused on money instead of service. Now even if my kid wanted to take lessons again, I would not recommend going back here or refer anyone else. They offered to keep the credit in case we decide to change our mind. I shouldn't feel pressured or my situation is disregarded, because they refuse to refund. Not a great way of business. read more

As a former collegiate swimmer, I am well aware of the skills it takes to be a great swimmer. Each swim stroke is taught in a manner that is broken down, so that each student is taught to master each functional movement of the stroke from butterfly stroke to the freestyle. I was very impressed by the coaching and loved how they care for the kids. I would definitely recommend this school to any of my friends! read more

We (3 kids) have been swimming here since 2015. Prior to this we were with Swim America. This place gets a 5 star from us for so many reasons. 1. I like that their coaches are always in the water with the kids, teaching them the skill/technique at whatever skill level you are at. This is important for the child to grasp what the coach is saying, because listening and seeing doesn't do it at times. The coaches are in the water guiding their hands, arms, legs, etc. for them to learn the skill. 2. They make learning fun. My kids would complain about not wanting to go for classes (just because they are lazy) but when they get in the water, they have a ton of fun. 3. They also have the same coach working with your kids most of the times, so there is consistency and the coach is aware of your child's skill level. Having the same coach also helps your child and the coach build a relationship. 4. They are flexible with schedules and will work with you. If you have to miss a class, you can always do make-ups at another time. 5. The coaches are knowledgeable, professional, yet caring, loving and fun. 6. The girls at the front desk are polite and friendly. 7. The environment is very kid friendly and warm. They have books for other kids to read while waiting on their siblings or waiting for their classes. 8. They have little incentives and a big one! Little incentives such as tokens that you can collect and exchange for a prize in the treasure chest, earning love bucks so you can by something from their gift shop, and if your finished their curriculum, you ll get a big trophy! That is a good incentive to keep kids on track and work towards an end goal. We love this place and would highly recommend it. read more
