I visited the Calico on my first trip to Galesburg with a group of friends. They showed me around the town and we ended the trip at Calico Cat. It has a large amount of cool things that, if money weren't an issue, I would have all over my apartment. The staff is beyond amazing and they just offer so much! Candles, fudge, coloring books, wall art, socks... the list is almost endless. I have gotten Espresso fudge each time I have gone back and it is fantastic. Be warned though, they have a lot of cool stuff, but they are also pricey. But that is the price you pay for a niche gift shop with so many cool things. Sadly, I do not really have many photos from inside the store. But I will try and update with some as I go back.

Their content changes so heading in there is normally going to be somewhat of a new experience, and they've remodeled a bit to make it even easier to walk around and check things out. This place is normally super busy, but I did manage to get some pictures since we were the first ones in. It's absolutely a place to support, and they put in a great amount of effort to make sure you have the best experience in a brick-and-mortar store. They do have a Facebook page that they seem to keep updated, so I'd check that put. As soon as you walk into the shop it smells like heaven. There was a scensy with a lemon flavor that was very inviting. The wax melts were available to purchase. The room is filled with goodies. Prices range from cheap to some items being a bit on the pricey side. I'd have to say there will be something for everyone. There are so many little rooms so I won't spoil the layout. This was a lot of fun to browse through, as well as supporting local business. We can't wait to go back to That One Place!!!! The lady at the counter was SO sweet. I wish I would have asked for her name. Thank you for letting me take pictures so I can show others this beautiful shop. My only suggestion would be putting a sign off Bluff so people know where it is, I can see how people might not be able to find it. It is between College/18th, and Bluff Elementary. I have used this company two times for Mother's Day flowers and I was extremely disappointed each…read moretime. I spent time on the phone with the florist (I am from Dallas) and specifically said what I was looking for. I noted numerous times in our conversation that I hated carnations and daisies and did not want them in the arrangement. I also mentioned that I wanted blue and purple flowers. I was extremely specific of what I wanted and how it should look. On Mother's Day my mom sent me a picture of the arrangement thanking me but it was nothing like I asked. The arrangement was mostly white with yellow and maybe one purple flower. I was very disappointed and called the florist to ask about this confusion. They said that the blue and purple flowers were not in stock and very expensive. When I spoke with the company to order I gave no budget and said I would pay what I needed to get what I had envisioned. They quoted me a price and said it would be a very nice arrangement. Needless to say, I was not pleased. They did bring out a new arrangement that was better but still not what I wanted.
