I've passed by so many Emmerys during my time in Denmark, but didn't think much of it because I usually don't like chain stores. This location is very new, as it opened up in June. I was craving a frøsnapper, but all the bakeries were starting to close, so I went to this Emmerys location right next to the Nørreport metro exit, and got the tebirkes, which is also a poppy seed pastry with a marzipan filling.
This was the most expensive pastry that I got in Denmark, at 22kr, but I am very glad I took a chance at this bakery chain because it was one of the best pastures I've had here.
There was so much filling, and the pastry was a lot softer than I expected it to be, but the outside was still very flaky. read more
