I wanted to try out a new nail salon and came across Emmi Nail Bar while working at a different location for my job. I made an appointment, and they got me in right on time, which I really appreciated. The place was very clean, the staff was friendly, and their prices were great. I explained that I'm a little rough with my hands and prefer my nails to be a bit thicker, and they really listened and accommodated exactly what I asked for. So far, I'm happy with the experience! From the moment I walked in, everything felt welcoming and well thought out. Mindy, my pedicurist, was phenomenal. I chose the Indulge Paradise treatment and let me tell you, the Honey Flower scent was heavenly. Their menu of Pedi options is impressive, and I'm officially on a mission to try them all. Enjoyed a very good pedicure experience with April. She was really nice and we had a wonderful conversation about one of our favorite subjects....food! We shared some of our preferred restaurant suggestions while she was doing an amazing job on my pedicure. I also was excited about the various menu options for pedicures This time I chose the Indulge Pedicure. All the prices are very reasonable and service was great. THE worst service I have ever gotten. DO NOT GO here if you want quality service. All I went in for was a soak off and I had an awful time, I'm glad I didn't get any other service if they couldn't fulfill a soak off in a decent manner. The tech was insanely rough even after I told her that my nails are sensitive after having a set on for so long. She kept filing and scratching up my cuticles even after I told her that she kept hitting skin. She was complaining about how she couldn't finish her lunch cause I had come in. She cracked multiple of my own nails from filing and drilling so rough. My nails are paper thin from the set and she did NOT take her time to be gentle. She had an attitude and rushed the entire process On top of the awful service. I Initially asked how much a soak off was and receptionist said $10, finished up and she said $15. I was confused and asked why the mark up and she said its cause she got the prices wrong. I asked her to double check and it seemed like she asked the owner or manager and confirmed it was $15. In conclusion, prices were wrong and receptionist was unprofessional, technician was also awful and unprofessional. I did walk-in for a pedicure on a Saturday afternoon. It was slightly busy but not so busy that they couldn't take me. The receptionist was really sweet and attentive. She helped me check-in and showed me where to choose my color. She checked back in with me to let me know they were setting up for me. She also was familiar with different customers and knew who they usually get services by. The girl who did my pedicure was nice. She painted one of my toes and asked if I liked the color before she finished painting all of them. I thought that was thoughtful. She did a thorough job. I usually leave a pedi with an injury from someone cutting my cuticle or my paint peeling off. I left injury free and with neat polish. I will definitely probably make this my go-to place. read more

I had a fantastic experience here. It was a very nice location with every color you could want available and tons of different design options. I'm a simple girl and my nails grow fast so I tend to go with more nude options, closer to my natural nail color. Kelsey gave me a Russian manicure, which is never had before. Her personality really made the experience even better. My pedicure was exactly what I needed. I got the Jelly Pedicure, which was another new thing I hadn't experienced but I'm so glad I did. This location was the last stop on my self care day and it was the perfect way to wrap things up. Overall I'd highly recommend this salon. Keeping this short: 1. came in a week prior to Thanksgiving to get nails done and chose regular gel nail polish with cat eye design. They were beautiful. Service that day was perfect. 2. Came in mid December to get the gel taken off and regular nail polish put on same day with no trim. Associate doing my nails instead of soaking off the gel used a rotating tool to shave off the gel polish, no buffing after, just painted regular polish over it. 3. Regular polish lasted one day, took polish off by the end of that same week and noticed nail beds were hurting to the touch and red. 4. It has now been 3 weeks since and my fast growing natural nails have slowed down (I have never gotten acrylics, paint regular polish at home, and this was my second time ever having gel nails), slightly less pain. Can feel the unevenness of the nail bed almost as if gel residue remains. Though the shop is adorable and those that work there are nice I am pretty disappointed with lack of care of the nail for gel removal service. I was hoping to come back to get my wedding nails done next month, but am afraid this soured my experience for future service... read more

I moved to Chandler about a year ago and was desperately looking for a good nail place that wouldn't hassle me and would consistently give me a good set. I found Emmi and decided to try it out and was surprised with the diversity; like so many nail techs of different backgrounds (most of them pretty professional) that didn't overcharge and gave a solid set. I immediately lucked out by getting Presley who has plenty of solid reviews here, and LOVE HER. She absolutely kills it everytime and I'll include photos of her work. HOWEVER now down to why this review isn't 5 stars: Emmie herself. She's nice enough to patients and the salon is clean and cute, but I've watched many instances of her crossing a line with her employees. She seems to selfishly only care for herself and her business, and I've unfortunately had too many instances in the salon where I've seen her aggressively approach her staff and then become emotional from it, to which she shortly after tries to play the friend role and make up for it. I think she's new to being a business owner, and she needs to learn the fine line between being friendly to staff vs being their friend and causing drama. Or maybe she should just learn to keep it behind closed doors and not in front of customers. I tried to ignore this behavior, but recently came to find out that the 2 best nail techs at this salon left on very short notice, and I personally feel that represents the poor way this business is running more than it does the staff. (This isn't the first time good staff has left here abruptly). I reached out and was able to get ahold of Presley and Kay who left the salon and found out they opened their own place!!! They do amazing work and I'll now be taking my business there!! It's called "The Nail Duo" off of broadway in Tempe and I'm so excited to see what these talented girls do. Overall I think the work at this place is good, but the drama and constant loss of good employees is very representative of this business. read more

I've always left other manicure appointments feeling a little disappointed--either the shape was off or the acrylic looked bulky and unnatural. I usually get an acrylic overlay on my natural nails and Emmie has totally changed the game for me! She takes her time, pays attention to every detail, and listens to make sure everything is exactly what I want. Her acrylic work is so clean and lightweight that it feels like my natural nails at the end. She also has a killer color selection! From what I've seen by all the other techs who work there, they also do great work and are just as dedicated to making sure you love your nails. Prices are great and it's super clean! The employee were nice but my polish didn't last long. Maybe the polish was older watered down. My nails started chipping polish within a few hours. My daughter also got acrylic nails and several fell off within the first week, which is quite unusual for her. I would not recommend going here. read more

There were nail techs walking around, talking to each other, neglecting the messes around them and making me feel like my experience and service wasn't important. Also, Carla wasn't leaving early, she started working on a client's nails shortly after. I felt so disgusted by sitting there while flies flew around me and the smell of the dirty water filled the air. My nail tech took 1 1/2 hours to do a pedicure and I stilled tipped her well but I won't be back. As a business owner, I think it would be in your best interest to correct these mistakes instead of making excuses. People pay for experiences when they go to nail salons and want to feel refreshed instead of grossed out, and they should have the best experience every single time. I've been to plenty of nail salons in my life and have never felt so grossed out. Original review: Grossest nail salon I've ever walked into. Flies everywhere, dirty towels piled along the sink, dust and hair all over the chairs and tables. The employees don't dress or act professionally. Carla the nail tech was sweeping the floor all around my chair and the nail tech's chair to where the nail tech had to stand up and take a break from doing my nails since Carla was sweeping and in our way. Called on a Tuesday (April 30th) to make an appointment, they said they could take me in 20-minutes! The shop is cute, it has a darker vibe to it, very clean and modern-looking. I requested a deep French full-set on med-long coffin nails. I can't remember my tech's name, but I think it may have been "Josh". He was really friendly. Did a good job, though there were a few times where I had to bring some symmetry concerns to his attention. He fixed them immediately and I did not feel like he was offended or upset (you know, sometimes artists/technicians get offended when you point things out) he was not one of them! After I left, I could see what looked like a file-scuff on my pinky, but it wasn't a big deal. I paid $75 for this hand-painted deep French full-set, not including tip. *Unrelated to my service- but a woman was getting a pedicure across from my table and the gentleman doing her pedi looked like he gave the most amazing foot massages ever in life (apparently he owns a reflexology business nearby!) I'm so tired of paying for mediocre service. Just because I ask for a classic pedicure, doesn't mean I shouldn't receive a thorough pedicure, I just don't want all the extra bells and whistles. Took my two daughters in for classic pedicures. One daughter felt as though she got a thorough pedicure, my other daughter and I felt ours was lacking. Neither she nor I felt like our nails were actually cleaned, we both had tons of dead skin around our nails that wasn't removed and we both had chipping in our polish within 1 day. The gal who did mine was so rough, she took the file down the side of my nail against my skin, it hurt and I flinched, she stopped for a second then went right back at it. A classic pedicure should still at least include thorough nail cleaning and care. read more

This was my first time at this salon. The salon has a beautiful interior. And the manicure chairs are much more comfortable than most salons. I arrived at 9am for a hard gel fill and was greeted immediately and shown where the gel nail colors were. My nail tech was Presley (sorry if I misspelled it!). She was a few minutes late but it wasn't a big deal for me as the receptionist kept me updated on how long I was going to be waiting. She took her time with my nails and made she they were even and the same length. We had great conversation and she made me feel very comfortable. The other staff were very friendly and professional. They unfortunately had 4 other nail techs call out sick today but that handled it very professionally and took the time to call everyone that had an appointment and offer to reschedule or have someone else do their service. 100% will be coming back! read more

I've been to nail salons all over the valley for years and this is by far the best spot I've been to. I recently found this salon and all I can say is wow! The atmosphere is beautiful and very clean. My technician Kate did such an amazing job on my pedicure, she took her time and literally did a perfect pedicure! I also broke the corner of my toe nail and one of the other technicians was able to build it out for me and it looked amazing. I feel like most salons I've been into in the past I feel very rushed through the process and usually don't get quality work but this salon definitely prides themselves on doing quality work and making you feel relaxed and not rushed during the process. I had made a last minute appointment for a pedi and hard gel manicure, which thank goodness they could squeeze me in! I was greeted quickly and promptly upon my arrival and taken to a chair to start my pedicure. I chose the second level and had the best foot massage. After my pedicure I sat for a little longer than I would've liked before being taken to a table for my mani. I took one star away from my review since I had to wait while there were multiple techs not working with anyone, maybe they're not trained in hard gel, so that was frustrating. It wasn't until about 5-10 mins after my pedicure I was told my tech would be starting with me soon. Once the service began, my nail tech took extra time to get the shape and color absolutely perfect.
