Cory with Tru Blu Electric completed a multiple security camera/ light installation at my home. He…read moreis ethical, professional, respectful, and a pleasure to work with. He was very clear about pricing and offered ideas to be minimally invasive to our home for the installation. He is very detail oriented. We are thrilled with his work! Cory is our electrician for life!!!!

When reading business reviews I expect honesty.... Good or bad…read more Here were my issues/why I contacted Cory at Tru Blu Electric: 1. Needed new outside meter box with new inlet/outlet wiring 2. New electrical panel and breakers for house and a smaller one for shed to replace old screw type fuse 3. Run new wire from basement to first floor through a cord hider kit that would power an outside light/computer and give me a spare outlet for whatever. This would replace an old wire that was a problem. 4. Troubleshoot an outlet/light switch (for an outdoor pole light) that kept tripping with old and new breakers. 5. Move an outlet....no issues with that 6. Add an outlet to my bathroom that didn't have one (This turned out easy with an unused wire already in the wall) 7. House has majority 2 pronged outlets (no ground) so added some 3 pronged outlets so I could eliminate using jumpers. At the on set of this project, I asked if a surge protector would be installed on my new panel... I was told Yes it will Two months later, This is what I ended up with.... 1. New meter box and wires... ***Old meter box/wires sat for 3+ days in my backyard until "I" moved it to the driveway to hopefully be taken care of... It eventually was 2. New electrical panel and breakers.... ***Old breakers are still sitting on a shelf in my basement, and in a box with random trash/wire, left for "ME" to take care of. It's still there 3. New wire run through a wire hider kit was left with ratty looking ends/wire showing and a 1 foot section that was missing the cover to it (thankfully there were extra pieces I could use to fix that).... "I" also took the extra time to neaten everything up and make it look like someone actually cared about how it looks. 4. An outlet issue and an inside light was resolved by running another new wire.... Outside pole lamp still unfixed and tripping breaker... Has been disconnected What I DIDN'T get... **No surge protector was ever installed **The two new run wires were haphazardly run across the front of my radon remedial pipe instead of neatly behind it... Just hanging loosely (see photo) ***I didn't get someone who took pride in their work where it would show ***I did get someone who left piles messes for "ME" to clean up even though a trash can was never more than 15' away.... He just chose to walk over or by any debris that was left... ie cut wires/plastic/plastic wire packaging/outlet boxes/paper packaging.... Enough where my patience wore thin and the last time I had to clean up... WAS, the LAST TIME. Is Cory nice... Yes Is he punctual... Yes (even early) Would I recommend Tru Blu Electric? .... Read above and use your own judgement I only hope he doesn't leave things for others as he did for me.... I paid good money for what I needed help with and ended up being disrespected by having to clean up what I shouldn't have had to.

I knew I was in good hands when he explained what he suspected caused my issues, in a way that made sense to me as a non-electrician. The cost was very fair for the work that was done. I'm grateful to have lights again!

Joshua responded almost immediately to my request. He was kind, professional, courteous, and…read moredidn't shame me for the fact I know less than dirt about electrical work. We thought we needed a massive wiring job to get a level 2 charger installed in our garage. Joshua took time to talk on the phone about the job, asked great questions beforehand, then came out the next business day to look at the install job and give me a quote. He counselled us OUT of doing the work, and for that, I'm SO GRATEFUL. he could have easily just talked about the necessity of the job, and I wouldn't have known better. But, he's a good, ethical guy, and could appreciate our situation, and so he told us how we could make the best of our situation without massive demo and conduit, and crazy expensive wiring. And, he did it all graciously with a smile. What he got out of talking himself out of this job, is complete loyalty for any and all future jobs we'll ever need. And, I'll be telling everyone I know about him, for sure. Plus, he's a family guy, loves his wife daughter and talks about them with lots of love and pride. To me, that goes a long, long way when I think about who I want to support with my money.

I don't want to leave a review for Darrel at P & D Electric for fear that so many people will hire…read morehim that I will have difficulty getting him to work for me! I particularly don't want to reveal how quickly Darrel can swing into action in an emergency. I don't understand why other contractors are so hard to schedule, but Darrel is the most accommodating tradesmen I have ever encountered. I suppose it won't be that risky to vouch for his high expertise and the efficiency with which he solves house wiring problems. Probably won't hurt to mention what a good guy he is and how well he explains what he is proposing to do or what he has done. He respects one's intelligence. Ok, ok, so his charges are reasonable, too. So anyway, as a favor to me, please don't hire Darrell for at least a few years so that I can have as much of his time as I want. I'm pretty old and you young people can afford to wait a while. If you are unwilling to grant my favor and you do hire Darrel, you will be getting the best electrician around. But maybe YOU could hold off on recommending him to others for enough time for Darrel to complete my projects. Like I said, I don't want to praise Darrel so highly in public, but I just can't help it. John from West Cumberland

When I…read morecalled P&D, I not only received a call back within an hour, Darrel told me that he could swing over on his way home after finishing his current job! Contractors these days seem more interested in the big jobs than the everyday small ones we all have eventually. P&D concentrates on what he called the "Mom & Pop" jobs. It was a good thing for me - turns out my "small" job was a potentially very dangerous one, and P&D very likely save me from a fire. Cannot possibly recommend P&D more!
