We brought my old family dog here so I wanted to bring my puppy here, he is a bit more anxious, however the groomers said he was ok, but I to noticed they wrote "vicious" on his report and never told me about it. I find that so unprofessional and have never taken him back since. Due to him being "vicious" they over shaved him so he had no extra hair. I recommend taking any nervous puppy ANYWHERE else, Rexpoint is a great alternative with similar prices and much better care. I'd give less stars if possible. read more

I've been taking my dogs here for years. Mostly for. Long time had. Good experience because we had the same groomer. They turned the Rochester location to cats so we started going to the auburn hills one to. New groomer. The first time was ok. So we went back. When I picked up the dogs I didn't notice until they got home that they were both cut all over their body. My one dog was shaking for days. I'm not sure what happened to her there. I called multiple times leaving messages and got NO response AT ALL. I sent a Facebook message with pictures and it said to call store. So I did call again and still no response. I recently got a new puppy and had heard good things but firstly the customer service was horrible. The hair trimming was okay and they said he was perfectly calm, however my puppies nails were bleeding and when I called to mention it they lied and told me he had been rowdy so it wasn't up to them. So not only are they disrespectful, liars, and refuse to accept the blame for their mistakes, they also do not know how to groom your pet correctly. Updated review Myself and my adult children have been bringing our pets here for years. Cats and dogs. Prices have increased and I get that everything cost more.My dog I take there the price increase by about 25% about $20 more. No big deal. The last time I took my cat there it was six months ago $50 for a bath, nail trim and sanitary trim around the tail and private area. Today when I went to pick up the cat, same service $120 plus tax and tip. When I asked why the price for cats has more than doubled while the price for dogs has slightly increased. The response by the employee was because they don't like doing cats. And to top it all off, the cat today still has matted fur on its belly. After $130 spent. At the very least, you should let your customers know the price before if I was aware that the price had more than doubled. I would not have done this there. You should have your prices listed on the wall or somewhere. A note on professionalism never call your client after a bad review at night while their sleeping and demand to be listened too and apologize while accuse them of lying ( which I wasn't). Just an apology would have been better in the daytime hours. read more

I just took my cat Milo to get his nails trimmed for the first time here. It was an amazing experience and I will definitely be back! I have had a really hard time taking him places to get his nails trimmed as he is a very anxious cat who does not like leaving the house. It has gotten to the point where places refuse to take him in. I have tried many times to do it myself and have been unsuccessful. However Emmy's staff handled the challenge beautifully with no issues!! Milo was not stressed after and is a happy cat! I seriously could not be more impressed. So I had used a couple of times for my cat wii hi o has lost g hair. So I thought I would give it a try for my dog. Because I had a great repour with the groomer who had previously groomed my car, I wanted her to do my dog. So time goes by my cat needs to be done and so does my dog I sch the cat first. and then I sch my dog too and I requested to groomer who had done a great job on my cat. To make a long story short my cat gets groomed on one day and my dog the next. I am asked why I picked the groomer and I explain, and then I hear the cat groomer call the office and switched the dog groomer to her and take her out of the file of the groomer u requested. We have had good experiences at this establishment in the past but someth seems to have changed. We brought our puppy in for a trim and she came out completely shaved, itching and licking for days and days. They said this was because her hair was too long and matted yet when we brought her in six weeks prior, she was barely given a trim because she was 'too young and small'. This terrible trim was also quite expensive (as much as Petsmart) and we gave a tip as well. Sad for our puppy. read more

On Nov 20th I brought my dog here and someone named Kathy butchered my dogs haircut. That same night, I received a phone call from the owner Emmy requesting to know how our service went. Obviously I told her I wasn't happy with my dogs cut and as I was explaining what was wrong with it, her response was "Yup, that's Kathy's work for you"... wow. She then offered me either a refund or a credit towards his next service which I was idiotic enough not to take my money back, because he's been serviced at the Auburn hills location where his haircut has been fine. I told her I would accept the credit for his next cut and she then advised me to take him to the auburn Hills location, and she'd document his file so her staff can know for the next visit. Fast forward to yesterday, I call to make my dogs appointment at the auburn hills location. I explained we had a credit from his last haircut and it should be documented in his chart. I was told there was nothing stating that. First the receptionist says there's no record of his visit, then after she puts me on a second hold (which I'm assuming she called Emmy) she tells me they can honor my credit that I was offered, but Kathy, who butchered my dog the first time would have to cut his hair because "she was the one who got paid for the service, so she's the one who has to fix it". A joke right? I took it upon myself to call Emmy and explain my frustration and I have yet to hear back from her. For that reason I won't be bringing my dog back to this location because Emmy, the owner, is not a woman of her words and does not value the service she nor her staff provides their clients with. read more

My two dogs have been groomed by Sheila for a while now and that is not an easy task with my male yorkie. I think he had been abused as a puppy before I got him when he was about 4 months old. He is very neurotic and dislikes being brushed, vacuum cleaners, brooms, things that beep like my thermometer, washing machine, the Amazon, UPS trucks and drivers, you get the picture. It's like his sole purpose in life is to protect his people. He really is a sweetheart with people he knows and my grandchildren. Sheila is so patient and kind and gentle with him and she does an amazing job of grooming. All the people from the front desk to the owner are knowledgeable professional and kind. DONT WALK RUN !!! I wish I could give less than one star it would be -100. The owner Emmy and her long time employee Carmen together groomed my dog. My dogs nails were made to be so razor sharp that they punctured my hand when they handed her to me and my hand was bleeding, the black leather backseat of my car is absolutely ruined it looks like someone took a knife to it all over the place, three of my dogs nails were cut to the quick she bled all over my legs, everywhere in the car and it kept bleeding at the park for an hour and a half. She was in so much pain she cried most of the time at the park! When I called in to let them know what happened they told me I could clean my car with hydrogen peroxide and as far as my ruined brand new black leather seats? The owner offered an additional $10 add-on treatment at my next grooming, LOL. I asked for them to try to fox my seats . She said she didn't know how ? No offer to bring it in and even just TRY . No offers for free grooming to prove that this wouldn't happen again and gain my future service - nope . I was offered a free tooth brushing for my dog if I wanted to come there and pay them again LOL . There will be no next grooming. There's will be a plethora of ONE star reviews. She said I should have told her when it happened even though I told her several times that I didn't see it until hours later - I'm not an owl my head doesn't turn 180° with x-ray vision to look through my head rest to see that you both botched up my dogs nails and now my black leather is absolutely ruined. She kept telling me I should've told her when it happened as if they did not believe me? INSANE . HACK JOB. WORST customer service I've EVER encountered. read more

The cuts from Emmys are inconsistent. Our golden retriever has had cuts that range from being shaven incredibly short while his head and tail are left long, to medium cuts that are uneven, to perfect cuts. We recently brought our new labradoodle. At first glance it looked like they did a good job but then we noticed they missed a massive mat under his chin (which was one of the reasons we brought him in.) While the prices are good, I'm not sure if it's worth it. read more

The groomer first said that's how they keep the area clean and then she said that she followed the picture (that I left with her for a guide). I am attaching both pictures for you to see... NOT even close!!! No one took responsibility for the fact that it was a terrible haircut and NOT what I asked for... Great! I had never been to Emmy's before and was very pleased with my experience today! They washed and dried and blew out my dog's fur all in about an hour's time. The staff was super friendly and kind. They got me in right away when I called for an appointment and helped me get my dog in and out of the car. Took my 5 month old Maltese/ Lhasa Apso puppy in today and she had an amazing experience. Pam was so good and patient with her. I was allowed to stay and watch the grooming process and it was great.
