First time customer, this will definitely be my last. Right when I walked in I noticed the place was filthy. I was asked to come in the back and set my puppy on the table (a little strange but ok). I met Peggy, we had a quick consultation: not the best vibe, she seemed a little salty and was definitely not the most mobile. (This was recommended from an acquaintance so I still had trust) When I picked up my pup (2 yr old Bernedoodle) I let her out of the cage myself and she seemed excited and frightened at the same time. Peggy the proceeded to tell me "your dog took me twice as long as any other Bernedoodle has..." (2 hours, really??) "she kept pulling her feet away from me and wouldn't listen to me! I do not wish to see her ever again!" First of all, our pup is the sweetest dog you'll ever meet and we have NEVER had issues with any other groomer. I don't think Peggy has the ability to properly handle dogs anymore and gets frustrated with the animals...not to mention has horrible customer service. Afterwards our puppy was excessively shaking her head immediately after the groom. This was not the normal "I feel funny" after a grooming, it was constant. We took her to the vet and they found her ears were inflamed, likely from aggressive cleaning/plucking. Vet bill $150 later and puppy trauma. Take my advice as well as the reviewer Paul who posted last month: AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE!! read more

Peggy and staff/family is the best value around. Mr Gizmo (Himalayan cat) tells us when it's time to go see Peggy. He rolls over on his back and is lethargic. Peggy washes him, checks him for fleas and give a lion cut. He comes home full of energy and bliss after his trip to his salon. It was my first time taking my bichon/toy poodle mix to this groomer. It will be my last. I asked specifically to keep his teddy bear look, don't want the poodle look at all on the face. I even pointed to the poodle she was working on and said I don't like this poodle look. I even asked if she's ever worked on a bichon/poodle mix and she said yes. I come to pick my little dog up and he looks like a poodle!!!! The look I specifically asked NOT to do. Then the man is upset that my dog is peeing on his way out. Well yah, I wasn't sure you would allow me to take him out when I haven't paid yet! Give me a minute or tell me, you can take him outside then come in to pay. They are worth it because of their groomers - good attention to detail and super friendly to dogs and customers. Something which is unfortunately hard to find in the area. The front desk can be a little clumsy and tactless in handling customer/business matters. But the staff is great with the dogs and that is why we are there. read more

Peggy's grooming is a classic and has not changed their values and high-quality animal care. I am a recent customer, but I used to be an employee 20 years ago. i've tried to take my precious Pomeranian to other groomers since we moved out of the area; however, when he has an adverse reaction and refuses to walk in the door I know it's not the right fit.
