I was there for a conference for one week the Beginning of May 2026. I have to say that it is an impressive location with beautiful grounds, well kept up, clean , and very flawless. The only amenities missing was a golf course and a runway! Then you pretty much would have my version of heaven on earth. The food was an 7 out of 10 for my taste. I think there can be some improvement in the restaurant aspect of business to reflect what I have experienced in the past from the Atlanta, Augusta, Stone Mountain trips I've made. And some revenue opportunities. One other suggestion would be to have some beverages, coffee and sodas brought into the conference rooms themselves as walking to them is nice for a stretch, but you can miss some of the presentation. I've stayed at hundreds of hotels and I can say this is one of my least favorites. To start the bathroom was not cleaned, there were stains in the tub that we had to clean up. The complementary conditioner, shampoo, and body wash were not secured and looked filthy on the inside. We were supplied with minimal towels, we used one of the two small towels we were given to clean the tub so we had to wash with one of the hand drying towels. We didn't have a coffee pot as it was missing. The sink drains slower than molasses which was quite unpleasant. Also, the doors are as thin as paper, we were woken by loud slamming. The positives were that the front desk staff was very nice and professional, the parking was very accessible, and there were bars all throughout (coffee and alcohol). There was also a very nice view of the courtyard in our room. Overall, the price point matches and it's good if you're coming to a conference or competition with family, however as far as a comfortable clean staycation? Would not recommend. read more

It's been several years since we've stayed at this hotel. It seems to be a less occupied time of the year. Carrignton (sorry if spelling is incorrect) was friendly and warm, he anticipated our needs before we could even communicate them. I would stay here again just knowing someone so thoughtful and kind is going to be there to check me in. The location of this hotel is great! Check out the general Muir for an intimate dinner if you do not have any dietary restrictions. The rooms are a little dated but that is how most of the hotel options near campus are. I tend to expect hospitality from hotels because...duh..but, unfortunately, you won't find that here. I had 2 separate reservations and, upon checking in, assumed I would be able to combine them. It's a pretty common practice but apparently Emory Conference Center Hotel is behind the times. The shower in the bathroom is dated as is the carpet in the hallways. The layout of the hotel is confusing and there is not enough signage to assist guests with finding their way. I found none of the front desk staff to be helpful or pleasant. Overall, the hotel is not all worth the price. The best part of my 3-night stay was the vanilla latte I ordered from the coffee shop in the lobby. I wish I would have stayed away from their food items because the lemon poppyseed muffin and bacon, egg, and cheese croissant weren't up to snuff. read more

Gorgeous location, spacious comfortable rooms, and an indoor pool make this a wonderful establishment on Emory's campus. Location and Parking Located on Clifton Rd in Decatur, parking is located in an underground garage. There is normally a fee, but since I was hosting my wedding reception there, I did not need to pay. There is an elevator with clear signage leading to the main floor. Venue and Atmosphere The recently renovated lobby features plenty of natural light, as well as a coffee shop, full service restaurant with patio seating as well as indoors, and a stone fireplace. To the left are conference center elevators, and to the right are guest room elevators. There is an indoor pool and jacuzzi to relax after a long day. Downstairs there is plenty of seating, as well a a casual buffet restaurant overlooking the terrace. We booked a spacious junior suite with balcony views, a kitchenette, and two bathrooms with luxurious amenities. I loved it so much that I might just be dedicated to the suite life from now on; no more basic hotel rooms for me! Service Service was prompt, courteous, and efficient. The banquet staff really went above and beyond to make our day special, and the front desk staff answered any and all questions with a smile. Food and Beverages While the catered food at the reception was fabulous, the drinks at the hotel bar did not disappoint either. The coffee shop served delicious pastries and flavorful lattes starting at 6:30 am. My friends had the fried green tomatoes for dinner as well as shrimp and grits; they thoroughly enjoyed both. My company has an annual auction and it's hosted at different locations. This year it was hosted here in their ballroom. Everything was set up nicely. There were two lines with servers serving food which was nice and the food was good with the exception of the chicken which was tough. The ballroom was a very nice size plenty of seating, a DJ, and enough room for dancing. The hotel rooms are really nice as well and clean. Room rates are average and I would recommend a stay here. We had a one night reservation on 5/24/2025. We got to our room #5575, clean, quiet and left to meet our party for dinner. Came back around 9pm to find an equally lovely peaceful place. It didn't last, shortly after getting into bed, a horde of screaming children came down the hallway and stayed there while an irate adult female was having an absolute vulgar loud confrontation with hopefully another adult. We didn't hear a peep from the person she was complaining or belittling. We called the front desk, packed up and went downstairs. We got another room, on the second floor. The corridor that led to the room had blue painters tape to hold the corners of the walls in place. The room was seriously small, patched up as it looked like it had gone through battle. It was clean and quiet at least...we weren't going to go and ask for a better room and stress that poor girl at the reception, so we stayed. The quiet part was interrupted at 7:45am on Sunday morning by the elegant sounds of a blower. We paid a premium rate, it wasn't a budget hotel. It is a huge conference venue, they have various wings. We requested a quiet room away from weddings and raucous inivriated guests. Unfortunately, I would say this stay and accommodation would be comparable to a low budget hotel. read more

Great staff and newish super clean property, nice sized pool. The breakfast buffet is a disaster....cold scrambled eggs and all the hot food tepid at best. For the first two days I loved the place then I found that a favorite dish would be sub standard when ordered for second time. Different kitchen staff every day? The maid service was charming but unreliable. One day my room wasnt touched at all. Not much in the way of local restaurants so one relies in the in house restaurant. Fantastic accommodations, amenities and the staff is incredibly courteous and helpful. Only drawbacks were short bar hours (4pm - 10pm) and the in room bathrooms are small in size. To be honest, when you make first contact, the front desk staff can come across as a bit rude, however overall it's a great place for conferences. This was my 2nd time here and not a bad location. I was attending a seminar at Emory University in Atlanta and stayed at the Emory Conference Center Hotel. The hotel is located within a short walking distance of Emory University, which is found across the pedestrian bridge. The hotel itself is located in a nice, secluded wooded area. Around the hotel are some walking trails, which I ventured on shortly. They are quite nice for a long, medium or short walk. Before heading up to my hotel room, I explored the lobby for a bit. There's a nice, large general area with some pool tables and couches. Later in the night, there was a TV on showing the Big 10 championship game between Ohio State and Wisconsin. My room was fairly small, but served its pretty and had enough amenities. The bed itself was large and comfortable. However, I did find it a bit odd how instead of multiple small pillows there was just two long ones, which went across the bed. Those two pillows were actually a bit uncomfortable and made my knack a tad stiff and sore. It was nothing extremely bad, though. There's a small pool with glass windows, which gives swimmers a nice view of the woods. The pool is located in a structure made out of glass. So, I imagine that they must turn up the heat during the winter. The hotel itself is quite large, but I believe that it is only made up of 4 floors. There are quite a free rooms per floor so navigating the hallway can be a bit challenging as you can lose your bearings. Altogether, the Emory Conference Center and Hotel is located conveniently in location to Emory University and has decent amenities. read more

I wasn't aware that my my reservations were canceled (booked through 3rd party) when I tried to check-in for a two-night stay for a conference on campus. According to the system and third party, there were no rooms available for the two days. I had taken a red eye the night before and I was tired and desperate. The front desk manager, Aaliyah gave me instructions on how to book at least one night so I could check-in and suggested that I try again later for to book for the 2nd night. After giving me the card key she said that she would see what she could do and I gave her my cell phone so she could contact me. Within five minutes, she called me and said that she found availability (at a lower price than my initial booking), and that I would just need to check out and check-back into the same room the following day. Aaliyah was so helpful and understanding during this stressful time. She also reminded me that I left my iPad at the counter Front desk staff, Ciera was also great!! Biggest selling point - it's the closest hotel to campus. It's a bit of a walk but there's a shuttle that can get you to campus and plenty of Lime scooters abound for the more adventurous. Biggest downsides - 1) older and not so well maintained. Weird stuff like a microwave in the hallway for a day. Duct tape around the base of my bedframe., obvious and bad touch up paint marks all over the room. 2) it's not cheap. I think it's $250 a night for this reunion and that doesn't include $15 a day for parking. For the rates, it needs to be fixed up. Otherwise lower the price. read more

Southern Perfection in a Charming Frank Lloyd Wright Styled Lodge Warm Southern hospitality oozes out of this charming lodge that has hidden perks around each corner. Lobby area is so inviting with chairs around a fireplace and a pool table. The club dining room has seating with a cozy couch to sit by the roaring hearth. Love the rocking chairs throughout the property. Rooms are spacious with floor to ceiling windows that overlook the forest preserve outside. To unwind at the end of the day, take a swim in the enclosed heated pool or relax your weary muscles in the jacuzzi. The gym is also available near the pool. Bowling anyone? Wisteria Lanes is available for meetings, special events, or other "Spare Time." The breakfast buffet was so fresh with lots of choices. The fruit bar offered blackberries, raspberries, blueberries and more. Omelettes, pancakes, and waffles were made to order with almost no waiting time. Loved the smoked salmon and the cheese grits. Special thanks to Aster W. for taking care of my sleep-deprived daughter. Conference center rooms were so comfortable. The snacks and drinks for breaks are set up nicely. Onsite parking was convenient. Location made it easy to walk to Emory University, shops, restaurants and the CDC. They also offer free local shuttle service. This is an absolutely BEAUTIFUL property!! It's nestled in a wooded area right near Emory. Everyone that I encounter was friendly and helpful. I had a king room with a view and it was gorgeous!! Furniture beautiful, bed soft, bathroom with a door and walk in shower, 2 vanities with ring lights and a plush robe for me to wrap myself up in while I waited for room service. The food was really good; I was surprised! I got the 1/2 pound cheeseburger with fries, spicy honey wings and lemon cake. I will definitely stay here again! read more

A family member was having surgery at Emory University Hospital so we needed a place to stay nearby. It doesn't get much closer than this hotel. It is about 1/2 mile away. This place is located in a great neighborhood, very safe. It's safe enough to go walking and there's a trail nearby. The hotel is... nice, not stunning. The lobby is spacious with plenty of seating which was helpful because the hospital didn't allow waiting, due to covid. A portion of the hotel has been renovated but apparently that is for university students, NOT hotel guests. . The rooms and hallways are aging and need a face lift. But the sheets were clean and the staff was friendly. read more

We stayed here due to the close location to Emory University as we moved our first daughter into the dorms. This hotel is not only worn down and way overpriced, it is dirty. Being extremely busy and emotional with our daughter's move, we had little time to complain. The third day when we pulled our bed sheets down lower that usual, we noticed blood stains on the sheets that were not ours. I advised the front desk and they changed them. Other issues include water stains and rotting bathroom door, mildew that triggered my daughters asthma by night two, and a ridiculous fee to park and then walk to a second elevator to get to the car. Highly inconvenient! This is our last night and I will never stay here again. This room isn't worth more than $50 a night. The last straw was when we came back from lunch today and our door was not completely closed. Housekeeping was down the hall, but no one in our room. Needless to say, save yourself some money and stay somewhere else... Update: I spoke to the general manager who was extremely professional and receptive of my feedback. Hoping that he can improve the housekeeping department. read more

The Emory Conference Center Hotel is a 5-story hotel and conference center located on Emory University's campus. The hotel and conference center are surrounded by many acres of forest, making it feel like an escape from the city. It's different from the vast majority of Atlanta hotels in this regard. I attended a wedding at the hotel, so this review is written from my perspective as a guest. The hotel has 2 levels of underground pay parking. The parking deck isn't huge, so it's possible parking can be problematic for large conferences or events. For the wedding I attended, parking was free. The parking deck elevators feed directly into the hotel, which is convenient if it's raining. The hotel opened in 1995 with a new section built in 2010. The building and facilities have held up relatively well. Due to the natural settings, the hotel makes use of a lot of outdoor space. There are several spacious patios, courtyards, and gardens nicely groomed and landscaped. There are multiple areas to gather and sit in including sections with fire pits. Generally, the hotel feels like a ski resort or mountain lodge. The interior features plenty of stone and wood. The sprawling lobby has things like a stone fireplace, couches, rocking chairs, and a pool table. The gift shop and bar/restaurant share the same natural, outdoorsy atmosphere. I'm willing to bet whoever designed this place wanted it to match the woodsy surroundings outside. Many large windows throughout the hotel make the indoor and outdoor spaces feel connected. While the hotel is only 5 stories high, the floors are very big. The hotel room floors themselves are plain and have that generic hotel smell (perhaps from the cleaning chemicals?). Emory's logo is embroidered on some of the carpets. The elevator feels dated. Various sculptures and artwork are located throughout the building. For the wedding, the ceremony was held in one of the conference center's meeting rooms. This meeting room faced outwards towards a wall of glass doors and windows. We exited via the glass doors to the cocktail hour, which was held both indoors and outdoors. There were bars stationed inside and out and the lighting outside at night was beautiful. The reception was held inside the Lullwater Ballroom, which is on the bottom level of the hotel. The ballroom is massive. The reception space setup looked stunning with billowy curtains, candle-lit tables, ornate floral arrangements, and pink mood lighting. The DJ and large dance floor were in the center of the huge room. The wedding cake and big HD projection screen were on either ends of the dance floor. There were roughly 30 tables seating 8 people each. In the hallways outside the ballroom, there were food buffet lines set up. The food was catered by Bhojanic, an Atlanta Indian restaurant. After staying here twice I felt led to write a review. I don't mind spending $200 a night for a hotel room, but please don't charge extra for parking. The front desk greeted me with a smile, which I appreciated. Both times, I've stayed in a corner suite with a medical rate since I was getting a cancer treatment at Emory's Winship Cancer Center. Both times we got lucky in getting rooms close to the elevators, which is a bonus when you have cancer of the spine, but are too stubborn to use a wheelchair or a scooter. The room has blackout curtains with (not free) bottles of water you can purchase for $4 each. The bathroom is a little cramped, but makes up for it with a large shower head and great water pressure. The king bed is very comfortable with a very soft mattress topper. The LED flat screen TV is a nice touch. However, I do question the hotel's commitment to their customer's safety when I see a smoke detector with no visible battery inside of it. read more

I've attended five conferences here over the course of my graduate study at Emory. I can't comment on the guest rooms, since I have my own bed to sleep in just down the street. But I can rave about how beautiful the facility is and how friendly and competent the folks are who work here. I just finished helping to organize a 150 person, 3-day conference here, and I was so pleased to hear our conference attendees comment positively on the venue, the Continental breakfast, buffet lunches, and continuous snacks included in the conference package, and the ease of using the projectors we rented from the hotel for use in many of the sessions. One doesn't need a password to use the free wireless internet: always a plus. The hotel room rate our group was able to secure was $129 a night. Small grievances: parking can be a little tight in the two below-ground levels, and it's not particularly easy taking public transit from the Atlanta airport to the Conference Center. But those concerns are also grievances about Emory in general. Now that Emory Point has been constructed, it is fabulous that conference-goers can walk to a range of good restaurants and to the CVS. read more

I've stayed here a few times for work trips whenever I'm in Atlanta in the Emory area. I've never had any complaints here. Rooms and bathrooms have always been pretty clean. They provide free shuttle service within ~ 1 mile of the hotel so you can even go to the grocery store down the street. It's also walking distance to a few restaurants right across the CDC so that's convenient. read more

Very close to best in class. I stayed here for my friend's wedding and got a group rate of $140/night, which felt like a steal. My room was giant and had a comfy desk and a great view of the woods behind the hotel. Service was very friendly and I was enthusiastically greeted whenever I passed the reservation desk. The bar with game room (foosball, pool, shuffle board) was a great place for hanging out with my buddies. The hotel lobby and decor is generally attractive and unoffensive (to my palette or Grandma's), they knocked off (aka were inspired by) Frank Lloyd Wright which sounds cliche, but it wasn't all that bad. My only real complaint is that Internet in-room costs $10 per 24hrs, but is free in the lobby. It's basically a business hotel, shouldn't the Internet be a standard business feature these days? But I digress, it's still a solid hotel and I think most anyone would be happy with it. read more

We hung out a lot in Decatur and Emory, Druid Hills, etc. Never more than a 10 minute drive, close to an organic grocer and other restaurants. I don't recommend the hotel food (but I rarely do) Our room was cleaned daily, valet super efficient, hot tub was hot!, gym/fitness center had everything we needed, front desk accommodating. I stayed here for a conference, and so my general take on it was that it was excellent. The conference center had plenty of rooms of excellent quality, the food provided was top-notch, and the receptions were excellent. Staff was also courteous and friendly. I want to emphasize how absolutely helpful, friendly, and professional the staff was at every level from housekeeping to front desk to catering. You could not ask for a better collection of people. My only issue was that the rooms were nice, but I'm not sure that they were $150 a night nice (and that's shared). If I'm paying that much, I at least expect the bottled water in my room to be free, not an extra five dollars on top of the bill. Likewise a shared room should have had more than one desk. The wifi could have also been a little bit faster. I want to emphasize, though, that literally my only nitpicks are with the price of the room compared to its size and luxury, but then if you're at a conference, ideally you're not spending all that much time in the hotel room anyway. read more

Has the idea of being a luxury hotel, but clearly has seen better days. Very comfortable bedding which is a giant pro. Rooms are mostly sound proof. Nice cable selection if you're into tv. There is a bar/lounge and separate dining hall. The service and staff at the hotel are very attentive. My shower are appeared unclean when I arrived, more so from lack of hard cleaning for a while I would imagine. Everything was dingy. There was a wrapper on the floor from someone facial wipes before me. The carpet through the hotel and the walls are pleasant to the eye, but if you look closely you can tell everything has seen better days. It's like a Monet. Beautiful from afar, once you get closer you see the actual messiness of the whole. The "spa" is basically a large hot bathtub that wasn't working and was very grimy. The pool, same as the carpets... needs a really good cleaning. The gym has a ton of great equipment, also a positive. It's 15 dollars a night to self park, in a garage that is occasionally closed for private events which is annoying as I was paying for a room for the week so my stay was interrupted even thought I was still paying to park that day regardless. Would I stay again? If I return to Emory for something, probably. Otherwise, I'd look elsewhere if it wasn't for a conference locally. read more

Warm welcome on check-in, a text message a bit later and the next day to check in and ensure I didn't need anything, rooms were clean and roomy, quiet, and dark/comfortable. I was able to wake up and run right from the conference center to a small trail/lake area nearby in the mornings - great spot, and they had a nice exercise and pool area as well. Emory Conference Hotel is the Best! My association has been holding events here for a decade-and with good reason. The staff truly goes above and beyond. I loved working with Ronnie Istre, the Director of Conference Planning. He was so great at knowing what I would have needed before I could ask, think, or dream of it - I swear, he must have psychic abilities or something! And the food was fantastic! All of our attendees were so impressed, I don't think anyone even went out to eat-the fine selection and choices (pesto cream sauce pasta tossed over a flame in front of me? YES PLEASE!) in the dining room were Crazy/Amazing. CRAMAZING! Thank you Mr. Kurk and Chef! I want to live here. I want to have all of our events here from hereon. Or become suddenly rich and live in Georgia and host my family and friends at Emory. Also, I totally loved the fun, retro vibe of their bowling and billiards club. Our entire membership was taking notes on how to improve customer service at their firms just by staying at Emory. Such a wonderful atmosphere ("like being on a cruise ship, but in the woods, but 20 mins from ATL!") I so look forward to next year. This hotel is surrounded by beautiful trees and plants. Cleanliness and courtesy are their mainstays. When in Atlanta, this is my go-to. My grandchildren LOVE it and I appreciate the quiet non-bustling atmosphere. I feel safe there, the food is great and the staff is top notch. Can't say enough about my stays there. Each visit the service and cleanliness are consistent. We've witnessed several special events there from wedding parties to conferences and all seemed to create happy guests and delivered great service according to those we spoke with. I have been to this hotel a few times for conferences. The dining/lunch area (silverbell) which is also used for events/weddings is pretty cool and spacious. I like the large glass windows. The food is average but service is always great. I think this place would make a decent (not too luxurious but above average) venue if you consider an event. Stayed here for a professional conference at Emory. Stellar customer service, with unfailingly gracious and helpful staff throughout. Pristinely clean rooms on a daily basis. Lovely setting, with ample outdoor and indoor seating for relaxing or networking. Delicious food. Visited recently for a 7 day banking school. The ballroom the sessions were held in was lovely, good sound quality/wireless mics and that sort of thing. The stay included breakfast and lunch buffet each day, snacks throughout the day and a room. The breakfast was my favorite-- tons of options like fresh fruit, eggs to order, juices, you name it. The coffee however is not good. In fact, I couldn't find good coffee in walking distance from the hotel, although there is a coffee shop coming in 2019 to the hotel. I resorted to the Starbucks single serve brew setup in my room, although housekeeping gave me only decaf 3 days in a row... The rooms looked pretty good on the surface but smelled musty and were more dirty the closer I looked. My friend had a water spot on her floor that continued to increase in size day over day. She notified the front desk and next she knew the wall was ripped out and there was black mold within. They put fans up to dry it out and then simply painted over the hole. We were pretty grossed out. The beds are comfortable and it was nice to have the conference in the hotel we were staying, but I wouldn't stay here otherwise. Apparently they have a bowling alley, but I couldn't find it. There were not many signs directly you through the confusing hotel. I do give them credit for maintaining nice classroom, seminar type spaces. read more
