We stayed in July 2025 and had an absolutely wonderful time. The bedrooms are beautifully decorated, and all bedroom and bathroom essentials were thoughtfully provided. The sitting room was incredibly comfortable--we spent a lot of time simply relaxing there, especially enjoying the massage chair! The location is perfect, with plenty of shops, restaurants, and attractions within walking distance. The innkeeper was warm, attentive, and made us feel right at home. And the breakfasts? Absolutely delicious! If I travel to Atlanta again, I'll definitely be back. read more

Wanted to stay in a place that's peaceful, beautiful and walkable to a lot of places nearby. Sugar provided just that.. realized that I'll be coming into town early. I have emailed Kathryn (house manager) to see if I can check in early.. She responded promptly and said of course we can drop off our luggage's and talk a tour around the historic Inman Park. Fast Forward: Dropped in around 10am. And Kathryn asked if we can give her an hour too clean up the room since the previous guests just left.. Toured the area. It's gorgeous and definitely quiet. It's something I need. Walking around, admiring the area without much thinking. The Bed & Breakfast: Staffs: 5/5 Kathryn and the owner are great people. They take great pride in what they can provide and good at it.. Kathryn gave us warm welcome hugs when we walked in The Place: 5/5 I had the Royal Suite. Come with our private balcony, a large tub with whirlpool. The room is cozy and spacious. Very lovable! Overall: 5/5 I genuinely love this place.. My breakfast which I look forward too serves at 9am.. and it was healthy and yummy.. I sat down with 4 other people and we had a great conversation. We stayed over New Years and the B&B was perfect. The location of the B&B is very close to the Krog Street Market so we walked around a lot. Boccalupo and Revolution Donuts is also like 2 minutes away if you're in the mood for fancy Italian food or donuts. Kathryn the innkeeper was also very accommodating. In keeping with covid restrictions, she brought our breakfast every morning to our room on a tray. She accommodated to our girl who has an egg and nut allergy by making a special allergy free breakfast just for her. Just make sure you call ahead and let them know about any allergy. Kathryn also specially set out a hot cocoa bar at night when we asked about nightly refreshments. Outside the rooms were teas, coffee, microwave, and a refrigerator for guests to use. Mugs, wine glasses, bottle openers, and irons were also provided for. Our room was a little chilly at first but we later found a heater which helped a lot. We stayed in the Garden room and it was perfect. If you have a kid, get the garden room! There is a loft area accessible via a ladder that our girl LOVED. This is a perfect B&B to stay at when exploring Atlanta and you want to stay at a historic house in Inman Park. The house has been maintained very well and is clean. I highly recommend staying here instead of getting a hotel. Since we stayed during the winter months, I will hopefully come again in the spring to enjoy the garden area. read more

Absolutely wonderful place to stay! It is walking distance to The Krog Street Market, The Carter Presidential Library and the Martin Luther King Jr Memorial. We booked the garden room and it was really nice and comfortable. Breakfast was awesome. Our stay in the lovely cottage at the Sugar Magnolia was amazing from start to finish. I fell in love with it's charm. We had everything we needed and then some for the three nights we were there. Hard to say what my favorite part of the cottage was but the huge jetted tub is in the top of my list. The marvelous art and awesome beauty of the property filled me with joy. The lush gardens are enchanting. The location could not be better. I highly recommend exploring the neighborhood on foot. I was able to visit Revolution Doughnuts & Coffee for a tasty beverage, shop the Krog Street Market and stroll on over to Little 5 Points all within a couple of hours. Everywhere else I wanted to go was a quick drive away. Debi is a talented artist and welcoming host. Kathryn was truly delightful. I plan to return as soon as possible. read more

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a weekend trip and I simply cannot recommend it enough. Firstly, the house is absolutely stunning, with a gorgeous porch and garden area. The location is perfect and a five minute walk away from incredible restaurants at Krog street market and the beltline. Every single room is impeccably decorated and there is so much room to sprawl out and relax. There are tons of amenities- coffee, beers in the fridge, picnic baskets; really anything you could need. The breakfast was incredible both days and they seated everyone in separate areas to comply with COVID regulations. However, by a long shot, the best part was the host and owners. Kathryn was such a delight to talk to and I left feeling like we were old friends. She and the owners care so much about every guest and truly make you feel like family. Lovely bed & breakfast in Inman Park! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and all the wonderful hospitality provided by Ms. Katherine & Ms. Josie! Delicious breakfast served. We stayed in the cottage suite and had our own little cottage behind the big house. The home is lovely, the grounds are inviting and this little place is walkable to so many of my favorite places to go in Atlanta! No need for a car! Love it! Ken & I will definitely be back! First of all the location was perfect. We got in late and felt safe to walk around the neighborhood. I stayed there as a birthday surprise. When we first came in we greeted by friendly faces. Everything was nice and clean. They had plenty of things to drink from water to coffee to alcohol. The bedroom was spacious and clean. I strongly recommend staying here. I'm lucky that Sugar Magnolia Bed & Breakfast was my first experience staying at a b&b. It's a gorgeous home with thoughtfully curated furniture in the beautiful Inman Park neighborhood. We arrived to a welcome note on the front porch, and I actually loved this, as we were so tired from hours in the car that expending energy with a b&b getting-to-know-you conversation I'd anticipated felt like more than my shyness wanted. It's as though Sugar Magnolia had anticipated my personality, and we could come and go as we pleased. We did eventually encounter the innkeeper and owner, and they were so dear. We stayed in the Garden Room, which had access to the deck. The photos online had me thinking I might read out on the deck, but the neighborhood's activities were so convenient that we found ourselves out and about much of the time during our two-night stay. (The inn's proximity to the beltline and Krog Street Market are why we booked it, and the neighborhood is very walkable.) The queen bed is likely the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in, like sleeping on multiple feather bed layers. The inn is clean and quiet, and Kathryn's breakfasts are fantastic -- I felt full, warm and ready for the day without being stuffed. Debi and Kathryn were kind, caring, informative and welcoming. When reserving online, we'd asked that the linens be washed without fabric softener, as my husband's allergic. Kathryn made sure to let us know once there that they'd done this. I really appreciated every aspect of the work that went into making our stay comfortable, from the tea and coffee available just outside our room 24 hours a day, to fruit at breakfast, to chocolates on the nightstand, to the linens, to their keen sense of our personalities and the level of interaction we were looking for. I'm so, so glad that we stayed at Sugar Magnolia. I'd do it again in a heartbeat and recommend it to everyone. The next b&b I reserve has a lot to live up to. read more

A friend and I needed to connect in Atlanta and were looking for something quieter than a hotel downtown. It felt almost like we'd rented a great house. We saw no one until breakfast, which was simple and good. There was lots of space to be alone in the house. We spent one afternoon in a large salon/ parlor drenched with natural light, playing the piano. We stayed in the royal suite, which is very comfortable, like a pied a terre in a city -- only we didn't want to leave to walk around. There's a veranda accessible from the room, where we spent a lot of time talking in rocking chairs watching the slow, breezy life in the neighborhood. It felt very, very casual and integrated with the sleepy neighborhood; yet fully comfortable and relaxing. read more

We had an excellent time staying at Sugar Magnolia, the Inman Park location is the best, near so many great restaurants, markets and other fun neighborhoods to explore. The B&B is lovely with beautiful antiques, a comfortable bed, and delicious breakfasts. Katherine, the Inn Keeper was very friendly and helpful. Staying at Sugar Magnolia gives you a perspective you won't get at a hotel, you get to spend time in a house built in the 1800s during the Victorian days but no worries, it has all of the comforts of today's world! Just returned from spending 5 nights at this wonderful B&B. A friend who I was visiting suggested I stay at Sugar Magnolia because of its proximity to their home and the activities we were going to do. I was a little apprehensive about being a single guy staying at a B&B, but my fears were unfounded. Beautiful Victorian home, well-kept, well appointed, with a beautiful garden. The owners and manager Kathryn couldn't have been more hospitable. Breakfasts were delicious. I stayed in the Garden Suite, which had a private bath, access to a rooftop deck overlooking the garden, plenty of windows, TV, and a very comfortable bed. My friends and I stayed at Sugar Magnolia's B&B in August and had a wonderful time. The house is an absolute gem, and the innkeepers are exceptional. Jim, Debbie, and Kathryn were perfect hosts and made sure we had everything we needed (including a "box of stuff you may have forgotten" like lotion, shampoo, a sewing kit, etc.). The home is full of amazingly unique decor, and the Inman Park neighborhood is full of quirky old Victorian homes that are worth looking at if you have time to explore the area. The Sugar Magnolia B&B was absolutely wonderful! My husband and I stayed there for our first wedding anniversary in the Royal Suite and it was lovely. The room was big and spacious, the house had great architectural details, and the grounds were perfect for relaxing on a hot day. The house is located in a great area of Inman Park, with Krog Street Market and the Beltline close by. The innkeeper Kathryn was great! She was welcoming and helpful, and to top it off made us a phenomenal breakfast of Belgian waffles with fresh fruit. Delicious! Southern charmer! The place to stay! I booked the sugar magnolia for 4 nights and stayed in the cottage suite which was truly a home away from home. Kathryn the hostess with the mostess, was truly the heart beat of the home. Warm and welcoming, I had excellent service and Josie was delightful. If you're looking for true southern hospitality then look no further. This place is picture perfect and full of southern charm. Great food, great service, great room, great charm. I will happily stay here again. Would highly recommend for a single, couples, or long stay getaway. My room was clean and comfortable. We stayed in the Royal Suite, which had a lovely view of the Atlanta skyline from our porch, where we watched a beautiful sunset. The bed was very comfortable and the linens were incredibly soft! I looked at the label - Comphy sheets. Those who know and love Comphy sheets will be happy! The house is beautiful, and is in a great location. We were attending a show at the Variety Playhouse and Sugar Magnolia is less than a mile from the venue. Kathryn, the inn keeper, was very cheerful and accommodating. Great friendly place to stay. It is elegant, but comfortable with great service and breakfast. This is my second time here. I stayed in the cottage both times which is your own separate large suite with loving room, kitchen, dining areas on the first floor along with the bathroom that has Jacuzzi rub.. Bedroom is upstairs in loft. The main building is beautiful and well furnished. The piano theme comes through especially when one of the owners is beautifully playing on the piano. All the bedrooms are very spacious. The innkeeper Kathryn is a gem and adds lovely southern hospitality and delicious quiches for breakfast . Within reasonable walk to restaurants and bars. We absolutely loved our recent stay at Sugar Magnolia! It is a truly gorgeous property in a really amazing + walkable neighborhood. Definitely head over to Krog Street Market! The home itself is welcoming + very charming - and Kathryn, the innkeeper, and Debi, the owner, were both incredibly kind and inviting, making sure we felt at home and had everything we needed as we were traveling with our two year old daughter. The room was really spacious and comfortable and breakfast was awesome. Kathryn completely charmed us with some interesting stories and even brought a few fun trinkets for our daughter to look at as we wrapped up our breakfast since she was getting a little anxious to explore. I'd never stayed in a true B&B before, but now I see what the draw is all about. I can at least speak for Sugar Magnolia when I say you will truly feel at home and like the staff is excited you are there and want you to enjoy your stay. Now that was the B&B experience I was always looking for but all the other places came up a little short. The architectural details of Sugar Magnolia are amazing. Then there is the decor. It is beautiful but not over-the-top frilly. It is also spacious. The rooms are separate from each other which makes it quieter than most Inns. And it is located in a great spot. It is walking distance to amazing restaurants, shops, and the "Beltline" where you can walk for miles seeing more of Atlanta. But the most fun part was hanging with the gracious Kathryn. My boyfriend decided to surprise me with a night in Atlanta and he really outdid himself with finding this gem. Absolutely gorgeous B&B that was well kept and possesses an enormous amount of character. We stayed in the Aviary suite and were glad it was gloomy outside since we didn't want to leave the house. We spent the afternoon buried in the parlor reading and the innkeeper provided a steady flow of hot coffee. Highly personal service and we felt like we had the house to ourselves except at breakfast. You join any other guests in the dining room for breakfast in the morning, which is fantastic and simple. The house is nestled in a beautiful neighborhood less than a mile from a park and downtown area. Don't miss this lovely bed and breakfast in a stately, 100-year-old Victorian and a beautiful residential area of Atlanta. We got the nicest service from the owner and her mom, who served us delicious homemade waffles and fruit in a beautiful dining room overlooking the garden. Dinnertime, we crossed the street for the saucy new restaurant (the only one in this residential area), Sauce. Great and unique combinations of fresh food, a DJ for music, fun.
