I've only checked in & walked around the properly but first impressions- super cute boutique inn. The decor was picked very precise for this property- it's very sheek & playful. The check-in was very welcoming, uplifting with a smile & I was offered a welcoming glass of champagne The room and bathroom have everything anyone would usually need, plus some nice extras! The Wi-Fi is open so it is extremely easy to login but I'll be curious about the strength once we start our business work day tomorrow. I'm on the 3rd floor, street side of the inn so we'll see about noise tonight.... Note: one of the extras was ear plugs. Ha! Ok I'm back to update the rest of my review now that I'm back home! The hotel itself- I would come back again and again! Yes 5 star The meeting room- 3 star We had to have each presenter sit at the front of the room with their laptop plugged into the HDMI instead of being able to mirror or launch up onto the screen. This wasn't the best experience. And to boot, the hotel tech guy came down and was zero help. Boo! The restaurant- 4 star I personally had the deviled eggs (obviously) they were good, not amazing because they were extremely salty. Yes, they had caviar atop but the salty flavor was in your face BIG! I also had the pork chops, they were a bit dry but the coleslaw on top helped ease the dryness with additional flavor. The rest of the team seemed to have liked their beet salad, fish, short ribs (I heard they were very rich) and chicken. The free coffee in the room is awesome with the kettle although, I got the free coffee in the mini store in the lobby! All the goodies were there, SF syrup, real sugar, fake sugar, creamer, oatmeal creamer. Loved this option and returned fir refills throughout out work day & it was always hot & ready! My job had a contest and the grand prize was a one night stay at Hotel Clermont Atlanta by Olivier. Atlanta natives simply vall this The Clermont. I decided to use it in a Friday night as a refresher before my all work weekend. The location is in Midtown on Ponce De Leon. Very convenient location. It is central to a lot of businesses and restaurants. I arrived at check in and presented my paperwork for a free nights stay. I thought I would need to provide my credit card for incidentals but that was not the case. My room was a corner room. Impressive right away. I have never had a hotel room that had a hallway. Yes a hallway. The room was large and had additional seating. Let me add that this is a boutique style hotel. It has very eccentric and eclectic decor. The most amazing thing to me was the bathroom. It was huge and well laid out. There was a separate room for the toilet and to my surprise it had a windows in there. Never have I ever seen that before. I enjoyed using all of the amenities. Came on a Monday night after a meeting for the rooftop bar. It was pretty dead up there, which was expected for a Monday night. I remember them playing music but it was like a radio mix on low. I came with a group of people which helped the vibes. I don't remember what drink I had, but it was strong for about $11. Pretty good price in my opinion. Great view from the rooftop too! I came to the rooftop of the Hotel Clermont for after dinner drinks this summer with some girlfriends! It's always an iconic Atlanta spot. We found street parking across from the hotel (but there was also a valet). We took the elevator up to the top after a short wait. Once up there, it was lively but not too packed. We were able to get drinks at the bar and found a spot to hang. The cocktails were delicious and I loved the custom cups they came in! My only complaint was how crowded it ended up getting and how hot it got with the clear tent up that trapped in the heat. Other than that, love the view from the Clermont and such a fun spot! read more

They have a set drink menu and I did't really like the tequila based one. I will say, this is not for dancing. Its mostly just going for drinks and talking. Such an adorable hotel. Esthetics were great. Little inside bar was the best. Bartenders were super nice and fun. Food was amazing. The rooftop bar is fun! Security staff is sub par but doesnt take away from your evening. The staff does leave early and barely around on Sundays. So be sure to get what you need early on. We come about 2x a month. All in all. Will come back but hopefully our next visit will be better! read more

So this is a really good rooftop situation. It has a pretty good view of the city and a really great skyline. If you go when it's not bright and sunny, and there's a little bit of rain there will be minimal cover so just be aware of that. The menu is okay but it's kind of limited. It's not a whole lot but pretty sure you can make something happen if you look hot enough to depending on what you're looking for as far as cocktails go. It is actually a really cool place because you have the bar in the building of the Clermont hotel, you have the rooftop bar, and you have the strip club below. So you can actually go between all three and have a good time. One thing I did notice was the fact that parking is $20 right out the gate. I was only there for maybe less than 20 minutes or so and it was still the same price. Which if you wanted to park elsewhere, you most likely have to go ahead and buy street parking around. On a nice day this wouldn't be a big deal. On the day I chose to go just happened to be raining lol. I feel like this is a really clutch place and has a really good view. It's right down the street from Ponce City market. It has a lot of places you can walk to down the street that have food and drink and everything along those lines so this is actually a good area. read more

Cute boutique hotel. Nice vibes. Stayed for a Friday night for my fiancé's birthday. You can definitely smell and feel how old the building is. It's been updated to have a modern historic feel. Didn't love the whole experience but it's definitely worth staying here at least once. I will be back to try Tiny Lou's, but most likely won't stay here again. I would choose a more luxury type hotel, but if you're into historic artsy vibes you should come check it out! read more

Nice property on the outside and overall look was good, we had set up every other day housekeeping, that never happened, had to keep requesting for it to the point we asked for the night matron to at least bring clean towels and remove garbage, she was great. The toilet flapper was leaking continuously, had to pull off the lid and push the flapper tight every time we wanted to flush the toilet, took 2 days to get it repaired. The Hotel Clermont is a perfect blend of luxury and quirkiness. I am a horror writer, and I came to the Hotel Clermont with a writer friend, for the purpose of having a 2-day writing retreat. My friend is working on a noir mystery, and the Clermont is the perfect place for that. The whole hotel is noir! We loved writing in the hotel library. We enjoyed our stay very much! Our room was in the basement (B level) but we had plenty of sunlight from the large windows. The shower head in the shower was high enough so that I did not have to stoop to take a shower, as in some hotels (I am 6'2" tall). The bunkbeds were also long enough for a tall person. The tacos from the rooftop taco truck were excellent, and the Old Fashioneds from the rooftop bar were great. I am a coffee snob, and I loved the complimentary coffee from Jittery Joe's in the hotel lobby in the mornings. I bought a can of the Hotel Clermont Wake Up Call Coffee as a souvenir, and also because it's a damn good cup of coffee. The hotel is within easy walking distance of several good restaurants and bars. It's directly across the street from one of my favorite breakfast places, Java Jive. Ponce City Market is also within easy walking distance. I plan to come back to the Hotel Clermont for 2-day or 3-day writing retreats several times a year. read more

This review is for the the rooftop lounge. This rooftop is situated on top of the infamous Hotel Clermont, where there is a rooftop bar up top, ATL oldest strip club out back, a restaurant in the basement, and guest rooms everywhere in between. I came here with a few friends on a Saturday afternoon. The views here were nice. Very good vibes. There are a lot of tables and benches you're able to sit and chill with friends. The day we came was particularly windy so it wasn't too busy. The rooftop cocktails were just average, which isn't a bad thing, but the prices of the drinks definitely were on the pricier side for its quality. You'd be mainly paying for the rooftop atmosphere. read more

I loved this space for a little week night date. It's not overly fancy, but set up nicely with sling chairs and benches facing the sunset. Unfortunately we went on a cloudy night but plan to come back again to catch some good golden hour light. I could see this as a date spot or place to hang with a girl friend. We were not hotel guests. Only went for the rooftop bar but there is a restaurant downstairs that looked interesting and the hotel is nearly 100 years old and so quaint. We visited the rooftop lounge and it was stunning as ever. I can see why it's such a popular spot in Atlanta. The hotel itself is very unique and has a ton of charm. The upstairs space has a very retro vibe and we happened to get lucky and find a table. It's definitely smaller than expected, as it's more horizontal than open, but we didn't have much trouble getting up to the bar. The servers weren't overly friendly, but that's not why we were there, so it's all good. I think this is one of those places that you kind of HAVE to go to just to experience it. Wasn't my favorite of the weekend, but I'm super glad I got to get up there. read more

A perfect welcome to the city! I booked an Airbnb that was NOT suitable for my first 30 days in the city. In tears, while working it out with Airbnb, I needed a place to stay. I booked Hotel Clermont through a third party app and I was literally thrilled. After a tough 24 hours they greeted me with a cup of champagne. I went to my room to find the cleanest room I've ever stayed in with the best smelling shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. I ordered room service from Tiny Lou's and let me tell you- I have never had such amazing food in my life! The hotel was wonderful, with the best staff I've ever met in my life. I would recommend this hotel to anyone coming to visit. It makes me sad that I live here now so I can't stay on my trips! read more

Don't plan on getting any sleep! I love the Clermont. It's an absolutely beautiful hotel and the staff have always been extremely friendly to me. The rooftop bar is a must-visit spot in the summer for the fun atmosphere and the pretty views of the city (before sunset is the best time to get there), and Tiny Lou's in the basement serves French cuisine in a cozy, candle-lit atmosphere. The most charming parts of the Clermont though, I think, are the elegantly wallpapered salons on the main floor, decorated with rich velvet settees and inviting little tables. There's a bookshelf with board games and a lounge on the first floor to order a cocktail. Me and my sister have been coming to the hotel for years. We always bring family and friends here when they come to Atlanta. Well, last night I actually stayed in a room here for the very first time. It was a last-minute convenience thing, but I was excited to spend the night and finally see one of the rooms.On arrival the staff greeted me warmly and gave me a complimentary glass of sparkling wine. My room was in the basement, but there was a big window that let in plenty of light. The room oddly reeked like body odor, but I figured I'd go nose blind to it, which I didn't, but oh well. It was pretty and comfortable though, with complimentary bottled water and crisp sheets. Unfortunately, it was the loudest room I've ever stayed in, and I stay in hotels for a living! (No, I'm not a hooker.) I could hear people talking next door, footsteps above me, toilets flushing, showers running, phone conversations... Why did the lady next door know so much about her brother's erectile dysfunction? The worst though was the pulsating club music that literally vibrated the walls (not in a good way) until the wee hours. I woke up about 73 times. So, visit the Clermont, because it's wonderful, but just know that it's not a quiet place to sleep. It's mid-week, P.S. Apparently, as one other reviewer pointed out, the music is from the Clermont Lounge, which I've never been into. It must be a party scene every night of the week though, judging by the Tuesday crowd. I just wanted to give you all a heads-up. You've been warned. Dun dun dunnn! read more

Hotel Clermont, what a major redo for an Atlanta staple. Being from the city it's amazing to see how this hotel turned the corner! Soooo happy they kept Clermont Lounge (I'd have to start protesting if they took it away!) Clermont Lounge is the part of the Atlanta tour that everyone must go to see but it's comes with disclaimers. Just good of fashioned quirky fun. I'll let you experience it to understand why. Anyway, this review is actually about the bar and all this beauty. Had really good cocktails one of which is notably named "Stripper's Real Name" (nod to Clermont Lounge!) The bar is sultry, dark, sexy, and private. Adjacent to the bar is a library lounge filled with games, up lighting, a photo booth and more seating. If you're on a sneaky link sit on the bar side. Beautiful decor, great drinks, layered atmospheres. Didn't hit the rooftop but will save for warmer months. Overall four stars for stiff drinks and unfortunately a stiff bartender. read more

Accommodating staff upon check in. Excellent valet. Well decorated beautiful clean hotel, convenient location, right in the heart of Ponce highlands. Walkable to Ponce Food Hall city market and great breakfast across the street. You could tell their team takes great pride in creating a memorable stay for each of their guests. Rooftop taco truck and cocktail bar with amazing views is a delight for locals and guests alike. Cafe serves up a fantastic latte. The double queen room was very spacious, clean with great ambient lighting. Bathtub was a bit shallow. Beds were comfortable and the room was quiet. Good atmosphere and close to everything. I refuse to believe people sleep here. This is party spot central! From the moment you pull into the drive there is a lot happening. We chose tho go to the rooftop bar on a Friday evening 8ish pm? You cram into old elevators with lots of people and they're all pretty beautiful and ready to cut loose! Definitely felt like a cool after-work 20 to 30 something crowd. The drinks are decently inexpensive especially for a hotel bar. I love that water cups are easily accessible. There are plenty of different seating options, including full tables. Did anything blow me away? Nah but it was a fun spot! I would not stay in this hotel, I do recommend drinking here. read more

The drinks are served in plastic cups and most of them run around $12. They do have a full bar if you're not looking for cocktails. The hotel Clermont is located near Ponce City Market and the beltline in Atlanta. The location is good, and we got street parking no problem as they only have a valet lot. The check in was easy, and we got a luggage cart no problem. The hotel has a distinct retro vibe to it, but it's well maintained, and has a coffee shop, restaurant, and in the back of the hotel, off the valet lot, is a gentlemen's club. While this sounds a bit seedy, it only adds to the retro vibe of the hotel, and there weren't any problems at all. The room was a good sized, with a comfortable king-size platform bed. We could have used a dresser or another wardrobe, as the furniture was limited to two bedside tables, a small couch at the bottom of the bed, and a small desk, along with a small built-in closet in the hallway. Everything was in very good working order, and appeared to be refreshed or renovated in the past few years. Overall, a fun hotel that provides good accomodations and a bit of colorful nightlife, close to some great Atlanta attractions. read more

My fiancé and I stayed here about two weeks ago. We were celebrating our birthdays and wanted to stay in the city for the weekend. Hotel Clermont did not disappoint. Upon arrival, we were greeted with champagne. We loved everything about this location. The rooms were very clean and the customer service was top notch! The rooftop is also a nice bonus. We really enjoyed our stay here and if you're looking for a staycation or you're from out of town, definitely check this place out. FYI: If you're staying here, they will valet for $45 a night which is very convenient due to limited parking. read more

Tiny Lou's food is amazing!! The Vibes and the energy are what really steal the show! It feels like you travel back in time. Bar has a kind of fancy speak easy vibe. Don't even get me started on the rooftop.... SO NICE!!! I love having a sunset drink here then heading to the bar downstairs. A really cool place to visit in Atlanta to have a nice time with friends and take some good pictures. There are a lot of good hotels in Atlanta, but none like Hotel Clermont. This is a unique boutique hotel in a part of town, Poncey-Highland, that isn't known for having lots of hotels. The hotel is historic and its "new" look, after reopening in June 2018, is super swanky, but in a hipster, retro sort of way. Parts of the hotel remind me of the Overlook Hotel from The Shining (1980) and the Hotel Cortez from American Horror Story (2015). There's an old-school creepiness about it (and I love it). I wouldn't recommend this hotel to everyone visiting Atlanta, but I do recommend it to those who are looking for something fun, different, and memorable. If you have an adventurous spirit, this is the hotel for you. Originally an apartment building, the hotel opened in 1939. The old hotel was shut down by the city/county (I believe) in 2009 due to health and safety concerns. A new owner purchased the hotel in 2012 and spent the next six years restoring and renovating the building. They poured millions of dollars into it. Now, it looks great and pretty much unlike any other hotel I've been in. Its design is quite distinct. The interior spaces are very chic, stylish, and vintage. The radio tower sign on the rooftop, which glows bright neon red at night, is really cool. When we visited, the lobby level contained an interesting art/photo exhibition featuring dancers from the Clermont Lounge (https://www.yelp.com/biz/clermont-lounge-atlanta), a world-famous strip club located in the building's basement. The Clermont Lounge, which opened in 1968, is actually independently owned and operated. It's technically not affiliated with the hotel. Some of my favorite photos from the exhibit were the dancers posing on the rooftop, including with the aforementioned Hotel Clermont radio tower, and a close-up of Blondie (Clermont Lounge's most popular employee) crushing a can of PBR between her boobs. I'm a fan of both the hotel's restaurant, Tiny Lou's (https://www.yelp.com/biz/tiny-lous-atlanta), and the rooftop bar (https://www.yelp.com/biz/the-rooftop-atlanta). Tiny Lou's is a brasserie or casual French restaurant. It's named after a lady who danced at the Clermont in the 1950s. The food, service, and ambiance at Tiny Lou's is excellent. The rooftop at Hotel Clermont has great views of Poncey-Highland, Virginia Highland, Downtown and Midtown Atlanta, and beyond. The rooftop has a bar, TVs, music, plenty of seating, artificial turf, and lawn games. It's a fun place to hang out when the weather is nice and there's no cover/admission fee. An elevator from the lobby will take you directly up to the roof. Hotel Clermont's lobby bar is a really neat hangout spot too. At nighttime, you can order Tiny Lou's late-night menu there. I've experienced nothing but friendly and polite service, from the valet guys to the front desk staff and security. Valet parking is available in front of the hotel. If you dine at the restaurant, you get two hours free. read more

This review is for the hotel only. I really wanted to like this hotel but I wouldn't recommend staying here if you want a good nights rest. My husband And I were looking for a nice getaway in the city. Guess we came to the wrong place. Cons: While the hotel is nice, our room reeked of smoke all night long. The walls are thin so we heard the people above us and next door to us stomping, yelling, talking throughout the night. Every time someone closed a door in the hallway, the walls would vibrate. Pros: the staff and front desk manager were very accommodating and understanding. They gave us ear plugs and a white noise machine. The beds were very comfortable and soft. We originally booked for two nights, but after one night here, we decided to cancel the second night. They took care of it and gave us a full refund which was very much appreciated. In the morning, they also treated us to breakfast in the cafe which was great after not getting much sleep. I appreciate the hospitality from the staff at the hotel. read more

Stopped by for drinks. Nice place to stop if you can find street parking. My advice is to get there early so you can park and enjoy the sunset. Drinks are sweet and sugary but the menu for cocktails is limited and on the expensive side. Everything is served in a plastic cup. Definitely a younger crowd! Tables are first-come, first-serve! There is a lot going on here: downstairs/out back are the strippers, upstairs is the drinking spot, and in the middle is the lobby where the two-way bathroom mirrors are. TL;DR? Head here for party time. Visited Clermont Lounge one day and returned back to Hotel Clermont for the rooftop. The elevator took forever, but once I got upstairs, it was clear that this was a hip spot to be. The crowd was made up of young professionals and groups of friends - not necessarily anything wild, but if you accidentally drank too much, you wouldn't quite stand out either, know what I mean? You had to order at the walk-up bar, which formed longer lines rather quickly. We were able to snag seats, but looked like they fill up on the earlier side. Dress seemed casual, so head here after work or for an offish night out. read more

First off I want to say I love Hotel Clermont. I think the staff is amazing and the prices are good. Tiny Lou's was also a fine establishment. This review is based solely on the pos who ran the taco truck on 5/15 at 8:45pm. This dude was by far the rudest person I've ever come in contact with. I simply asked a question about my food being Togo or not and received "iF yOu wAnT iT tO bE!" With such an annoyed look on his face. I understand that reading this over text might not convey how disappointing my interaction was but it seriously put such a bad taste in my mouth. For real, solely off of this guys bad attitude I'm writing this review. On top of that, the tacos were decent but for $5 a pop for tiny tacos it was nothing. I also spent $5 for a half bag of chips and barely any salsa. Like, none. A comical amount of salsa. I measured it and it came out to 1.5oz of salsa in a cup. lol I know this is sounding crazy that I measured salsa. Believe me it's not lost on me but I was so taken aback by everything I just had to see for myself. Wasn't even enough to finish the small bag of chips. I truly wish I just went to chipotle.
