We met in person the week of the wedding and walked around the venue to plan which areas would be good to take our group photos on the day of, and also because she wanted to see how the sunlight would be at the time of our ceremony and reception. This preparation and attention to detail came through in the images we got back from our wedding day. On the big day, Molly and her assistant, Lux, were on time and quickly got to work capturing all of the important, as well as the easily overlooked, moments of the day. From the final hour of preparation before walking down the aisle, to standing at the alter, to the dinner & reception, Molly and Lux were never in the way, but rather stealthy captured amazing pictures without distracting from the event itself. Having been to weddings in the past where the sound of the camera distracted from the vows, or the photographer blocked guests from seeing the ceremony or speeches - we were so lucky to have had these moments captured without any distraction - so much so that some friends later commented that they didn't know we had a photographer during parts of the day. The day of the ceremony, she was very easy-going and creative--even climbing up a nearby tree to capture a few unique shots (the circle of feet in white rubber slippers), most of which have become our favorite shots of the day! Amanda had great information and resources on choosing a location, outfit selection, and tips on how to set ourselves (especially the kids) up for success on the day of the shoot. We booked the package which included an hour of shooting time and that provided the perfect amount of time to get all the different groupings that we wanted to capture. Amanda was amazing with our 3 and 4-year-old and offered a good combination of posing suggestions and props (she brought a blanket we used like a parachute for the kids to play under) along with capturing spontaneous and candid moments.
