I give Kris a full 5 stars! The whole experience was 10/10 from the get go. He is is highly professional and one of the rare photographers who took time to understand what kind of photography you are interested in, patiently took phone consultation, asked questions and even asked to share sample pictures so he gets an idea of exactly what we want. Then he shared some of his photography samples to match with what we were looking for, to make sure we were on the same page! I greatly appreciated that! In the day of photoshoot, he arrived at the location on time, surveyed the location to figure out best angles for the photoshoot and then it started! He is great at letting you pose the way you like and also great at suggesting poses if you are stuck and not a natural in front of cameras. I found Couple Cups through Yelp, and the reviews are so accurate. I hired them to shoot my wedding on Kauai in Feb, 2018. They were so easy to work with. A couple of phone calls and a couple of emails and things were set up. So easy. They were so knowledge and helpful with all sorts of tips about where, when and how to make sure the photo shoot went as smoothly as possible. It was really intimidating reading about the permitting process, but they took care of it without any fuss at all. Even before we set foot in the island, I was comfortable that it would go well. On the day of the wedding, everything went as smoothly as I could hope for. The team was so much fun to work with. They put me at ease instantly, and within 5 minutes of meeting them, I knew things were going to turn out just fine. They remembered specific shots that we wanted and were very flexible and open to changing things on the fly. I'm not sure if wedding photos are supposed to be fun instead of just awkward, but it felt so natural and comfortable that I didn't want it to end. If the sun wasn't setting, I could have stayed out there for much longer. But let's get to the most important part, the pictures. Oh, the pictures! We got a preview a couple of weeks later and the full set about 5 weeks after the event just as promised. These pictures were as gorgeous as I could hope for.
