I was set on the chicken however, they were all out, so I opted for their Hawaiian empanada.

What do I know about Colombian food?…read more Well, I brought my Colombian foster family from different cities from Colombia, and they couldn't agree more on how good the food was. The outside of the establishment could be a bit nicer, but it was a gem to come here. On the side, it looks like a bar but is family oriented (depending on the time). It opens Tuesday thru Sunday from 3pm to 2am, and it's closed on Monday. My family ordered everything from the menu. Arepa, sancocho, Bandeja paisa, carne asada, chicharron. All the dishes were served in big portions, and the favlor my uncle had the best time ordering beer from Colombia, and the sancocho (stew) was delicious. He said it was the best dish he had in years here in the DMV area if not the only one worth coming back (qlwe drove 50 minutes to come here). Servers were top-notch, checking on us to make sure food and drinks were good

My fiancé and I traveled to the country of Colombia for vacation. Coming home I was missing their…read morefood and wanted an authentic arepa. I looked up Colombian food in my area and this place popped up. I ordered two queso arepas and one beef /queso and chicken/ queso arepa. Keep in mind I thought they would be a lot smaller thus why I order two a piece. Then I ordered a grilled meats entree for my fiancé and I to split with the arepas. First off the arepas looked like small personal pizzas. I was highly disappointed in that. They were tasty but not what I wanted. My fiancé said the beef was a little salty to him as well. The Grilled meat Entree was not good the Plaintains were sweet and soft. The rice was basic white rice but the meat was like chewing leather but the flavor was decent. The texture just was not there. The club Colombia reminded me of vacation so they were very nostalgic. The restaurant doubles as a bar playing Colombian music. We might entertain the bar for beer but defiantly not for arepas !

First time in but it won't be our last!…read more Service was amazing. Our server, Spence, was great! Very knowledgeable about the menu and always there making sure we had what we needed. Do not sleep on the cocktails! The Lessons In Alliteration will bring me back here, it is so well balanced and goes down a little too easy. The food was incredible. We started with the Tequeños and Patacón Salvaje (the best bite of the night for me!). Then came the Caribe Atómico (a little too salty) and Caribbean Surf & Turf Salpicón. For our entrees we tried the Duck Atollado (the rice in this dish was amazing and so flavorful) and the Pelao Guayanés. Everything was well prepared and so tasty. Dessert was the Vanilla Quesillo and Cacao+, would skip, dessert was our least favorite course.

We had to get an early reservation as they were fully booked at dinner time. The food was just okay: the appetizer with the plantain and fried calamari was okay, it lacked a little bit of dimension and was too acid forward (needed more salt to balance it). The main was the "olleta" which is a vegetarian meal; it wasn't exactly memorable. It has an incredible amount of olives and capers and not enough tofu/plaintain/mushrooms. It was also very acid forward and lacked layers/balance to the flavor. Lastly, we tried two desserts: the flan (I believe it was called quesillo) and the chocolate one. I LOVED the flan with the foam on top, and the chocolate one was towards the bitter side (which was pretty good) but I wouldn't get it again. The desserts were very overpriced for the size of it. The place is well maintained and I love the plants all around. I would like to give it another try as I like to support my fellow Latinos

The restaurant is located on the second floor of a "random" building, so it might be a bit difficult to find unless you are in the know. Although there were not many folks during my visit, the restaurant gives off a very strong Colombian flare. I originally stopped by to get a drink, but I ended up trying the caserito, which was sort of a combo meal. This meal included a delicious soup, a beer filet, beans, rice, and a small salad. It was quite the meal for only $14 bucks. I do not remember the name of the bean-based soup, but it was out of this world delicious. For $14 bucks, I thought the portions were quite generous. The service was pretty good. Since the bartender/waitress did not speak much English, dining here gave me the perfect opportunity to practice my Spanish. I definitely hope to return in the near future to try more items off of the menu and maaaaybe sing karaoke.

I finally had a chance to come here. Today, I work up an appetite, so I'm here for a late lunch. I…read morebasically inhale my food. The food was flavorsome. Definitely recommend the chicharrones. Service was on point. My waitress made me feel welcome. She was polite and attentive. The only problem that you may encounter is parking. The restaurant doesn't have parking. You just have to find parking on the side of the street or a small public parking behind the restaurant.
