The food was great and classic: -The chicken quesadilla was good, but I had to use plenty of hot sauce to keep things flavorful. They should add salsa verde to go with it. 7.9/10 - I enjoyed the tacos. Classic street but with pico de fallo and a slice of avocado and some salsa verde in the side. Perfect. My only complaint was the lack of additional meats other than chicken and steak. 8.2/10 Note: the bang for the buck with the food is great. Service was lovely. Very nice workers, who speak both English and Spanish. When I came in, I decided I would like to practice my Spanish and they were very nice about that. I ordered everything in Spanish and speak with them for a bit in small talk. The ambiance is classic cheap Mexican restaurant, in a good way. So, my wife asked what I wanted for dinner. I asked her to surprise me. She's become loyal to the Aldi in the same center ( shops after work prior to coming home)and decided to order carry out from Sabor Latino . Nothing ventured, nothing gained, right? She ordered two pollo fajita platters to go. Arriving home I wondered what was lurking in those styrofoam containers and was amazed with what I found: generous portions of chicken, rice, fajita veggies, a creamy yet tasty mystery dressing (Fresca crema?), really good refried beans and diced salata. Wowee wow wow. Very fresh. This food was not only abundant but very, very good. A great find for us and a must for Latino, Salvadoran in particular, food lovers in Reisterstown. Recommend. read more

WOW! If you would like to get some fresh made great Guatemalan food, this is it! The most expensive item on the menu is about $14.00. I've eaten there so many times and I will keep coming back! Their shrimp is the best. I've had their Hen soup and I literally exclaimed my love as I ate it, haha! Their Spanish rice is so fresh and full of flavor. Unfortunately I will not be able to eat there as much anymore since I am now vegetarian, however, I will continue to recommend this place and maybe even pop in to have just a plain salad! Every time a friend wants to get together for lunch I say SABOR LATINO ES MUY RICO!!! And my friends have all agreed! I even went with a friend who brought his co-worker who happens to be from Colombia. She said that the food tasted just as good as it does at home. My friend Matt summed up my experience at Sabor perfectly, so I'll just cut and paste what he wrote: I've been to Sabor several times, the food is great and so is the atmosphere. The windows to the kitchen are a nice touch and we always take advantage of the BYOB. Last week I had an international visitor and decided to head to Sabor with a very special bottle of wine which I have been cellaring for many years. Well the Wine was well worth the wait and the food was nice but the evening was spoiled by a horribly rude waitress. In hindsight I wish we had walked out before ordering. Some memorable quotes from the evening: Guest: "Can I have some water with no ice please" Waitress starts to pour water into glass avoiding any ice pouring in. Guest: "Oh sorry I mean water that's not cold" Waitress: "Well you just said no ice, THAT'S DIFFERENT" While she was cracking pepper and one guest was glancing back and forth so as not to be rude to the person talking at the time. Waitress: "Ah, She's not even looking" (then storms off) The Waitress rudely re-stated that they have runout of the rockfish while my guest was attempting to ask for a recommendation of something similar as that was her first choice. They are the only quotes I can recall but generally she was just a real bitch. I love Sabor and highly recommend it. Just ask that you not be seated in the area serviced by the bitchy waitress. I sadly suspect that if you make that request the woman at the door will know exactly who you are talking about. I would like to add that the Truffle fries are sooooo good - they're simply the best fries I've ever had - well worth the trip to Baltimore for! read more

Excellent food , if you're an pupusa lover, never want to miss out they're pupusas specials every Tuesday where they have the pupusas for only $1.25 cents each , except the cheese and loroco pupusa where there usual price it's 2.00 each , my favorite dishes here are their typical Salvadoran breakfast, it consist of eggs, refried beans , sour cream , plantains , queso fresco cheese and two tortillas , not forgetting to mention their pupusas as well , I also love their torta Milanesa sandwich, it's pretty much like an mexican bread stuffed with chicken, refried beans, avocado , lettuce ,onions , cheese , also the steak one is delicious, it comes with a side of French fries , truly recommend this restaurant if you want to explore Central American and mexican authentic dishes! read more

I did a search for Latin food in the area, and found Sabor Latino. They had baleadas, which are not easy to find, so I was excited. The man taking my order did not speak much English, but he was very friendly and tried his best. Everything was made to order, so I had to wait for about 15-20 minutes, but that's not a long time to wait for good food. I was worried about the food not being very good by the time I got home, but everything we had was delicious. The baleadas were soft, chewy, and creamy on the inside. The tacos were yummy, as were the fajitas. Next time, I might try the pupusas. We live about 20 minutes away, but will definitely be back. read more

I love Pupusas and have been trying to find a new restaurant since my usual closed down some time ago. This restaurant is fairly priced and their sazón is on point. (3/22/2016) Was running errands all about town and stopped in for lunch on a weekday, a little bit late, 2-ish. I swear to god, we walked in, the needles skipped off the record, everyone (a room full of Hispanic men) stopped what they were doing and saying and turned around to stare at us (we are neither Hispanic, nor men) for the briefest of moments. It was a very fish-out-of-water feeling. We all got over it, and sidled up to the small counter to order from the very nice and patient mom of this family-run Salvadoran restaurant. Eat-in and carryout business was brisk, but pacing somewhat slow from the kitchen. They were out of the first 3 things my friend wanted to try. the menu is leftover from the previous Bananitos incarnation and they didn't have many of the things listed. We ended up with Yucca con Chicharrones, Pupusas, and a Lengua Taco. Food is very fresh. The pupusa was thin, but large and the masa very tender. Filling for revueltas was moist pulled pork, oozy queso blanco; the curtido was very crisp and very fresh, like they just chopped and dressed it. Yucca were inch-thick batons (somewhat starchy, fluffy on inside and crisp on outside), at least a pound of them, with a few cubes of fatty fried marinated pork. Salsa roja (Salvadoran cooked tomato sauce) was thin, slightly tangy, lightly seasoned. I juiced things up with my lime wedge and some splashes of Valentina. Lengua Taco was chock full and literally bursting through the double white corn soft tortillas. Lengua was beefy, very tender and flavorful, like brisket. Pico de gallo was fresh, cooling, tart, plenty of cilantro and white onion. Delicious! Prices were very reasonable, cheap eats one would say (but high quality), obviously a fave with the expats. BONUS: Inca Cola and a myriad of other soft drinks from the Americas. read more

The first time we ate here we had fajitas, tacos and the fried fish. Awesome food! Authentic. Delicious. Best tacos my husband has had since he lived in CA. We ordered tacos to go for dinner the very next night. We eat there often. Great service. Try the baked goods, highly recommend the churros. Tortillas are also homemade not like other placed where they had previously been frozen Food may take a little longer because the food is fresh and cooked to order but you can also call ahead of you know what you like. This is one of the best places I go for Spanish food at least once or twice a week. Food also has great price. Everyone at my job always orders from here because of how authentic the food is. When my mom was hospitalized, my sister and I both flew into town. After long days, we'd grab something to near my brother's Owings Mills home. Being from out of state, we just started to cruise down Reisterstown Road, looking for something interesting. This little restaurant seemed out of the ordinary, so we stopped. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the menu made our mouths water. Following staff recommendations, we got 2 dinners, a beef and chicken. Both were tasty. We went back the following night, had shrimp and pork dinners. Both winners as well. Both times, we made selections from the fragrant cookie cabinet, and all were great. We're big fans, and will be visiting again each time we're in town! read more
