Located in a food hall with plenty of indoor seating and good vibes (we came on a Sunday around noon and there was a live jazz performance)! The owner is super friendly and clearly loves Colombian food and his job. We got the breakfast platter (rice, sausage, plantain, fried pork belly, beans, egg, avocado, beef) and really enjoyed it!

Fabulous! Cannot wait to come back. Great food, prepared perfectly, wonderful service by Javier. We were surprised the Hawaiian empanada was our favorite over the beef and the chicken. Sauces are all homemade, but for us, the green one was the winner. The loca arepa is a hearty meal in itself, with a cheese stuffed arepa topped with your choice of protein, avocado, egg and sauce on the side. It was a lovely and tasty dinner. Next time we already know what we want to try. They have an extensive menu so there are a lot of options for any diner.

As a Colombian from NY I have been searching for any Colombian cuisine I can find. Some are passable, but this place is by far the best I've come across in the last 10 years. I don't live in Leesburg so I had no idea this place existed until now. It is situated inside of a brewery and set up as a counter along with a few other food options, like a mini food hall. This is the most authentic Colombian in the DMV just come to this spot. It's worth the drive from Alexandria for me!

This was a great idea. There is a central brewery with smaller restaurants around the edges. There were three. An Italian pasta place, a nacho place, and this little gem of a Colombian restaurant. I asked for the ajiaco con jugo de guanábana con leche (soursop juice with milk). Everything came out in good time and the soup was great. It even came out with capers. It checks all the "authentic" boxes for me. I also asked for some buñuelos to-go, they were good also! I definitely like the casual vibe of the place and if you wanted a fresh point you were only a couple steps away!

Love the Dedos Queso and Passion Fruit Juice Water here! Super delicious!! The arepas were great as well, especially for this area. Didn't think I would find Colombian food in Leesburg but I did and one of the best places in the city. The manager/owner is super kind and checks in to make sure everything tastes great! The service is wonderful and the wait for the food did not take long. Definitely check this place out if you are looking for some authentic Colombian cuisine! Delicious and will definitely be back!

I went there last weekend with my husband, I ordered the casuela de frijoles and it was delicious it came with 2 small arepas sin sal and chicharrón. When we were leaving we ordered 10 pandebonos and 10 buñuelos and a fruit salad and it was delicious... it made me feel at home. Only thing is that the place is hard to find, the first time I went I couldn't find it and I was very frustrated, the second time that I went with my husband it took us a while to find it then we realized it's inside a food court kind of place.. well, if you have ever been to Union Market, it is kind of that similar concept but way smaller. My suggestion would be to have a bigger sign or specify where you guys are located. I'm thinking of going back this coming weekend to try la bandeja paisa

The service is excellent. They are kind and very personable. The food was the best I've had. I ordered the sampler platter. It's had fried pork belly, tripe, blood sausage (better than it sounds), sweet plantains & BEST Yucca Fries I've ever had. It also came with chicken, steak and potatoes which I can do without. Very generous amounts of each.

Delicious! I have the special and it was plantain soup, perfect for this cold weather. We also had the empanadas and my husband had the beef arepa. Everything was yummy! The owner was very nice and courteous. This restaurant is located inside of the Chef Escape, you don't really see any signs outside except for a small one by the door.

Really good empanadas. Corn meal crust. The Hawaiian and chicken were our favorites. The place is a shared space and a bit of a dive.

The beautiful artwork featuring local women of color from Colombia adds a great cultural touch, and there's plenty of parking. I ordered the Papas Rellenas (picadillo-stuffed potato fritters), which were really big, dense, and satisfying for $5. I also got the bandeja paisa (with kidney beans, steak, fried egg, pork belly, etc.), knowing it would take about 20 minutes on a Monday at 10:45 a.m. That wait felt outrageous, though--only about 10 people were in a space that could easily hold 100. However, the pork belly and steak wasn't overcooked and very flavorful. Even the sausage bursted with flavor. The food was authentic and tasty, but the long wait is a dealbreaker for me unless I'm with a friend craving Latin food and have time to spare. I probably won't return on my own unless it's a weekend and I have time to kill.

Aroma Cafe may be the only option to bring a taste of Colombia to Virginia, but it comes with…read moreconsistently poor customer service and a lack of professionalism. I placed an online order for pickup, was charged in full, and was never notified of any issue. I drove almost an hour to pick up the order, only to be told upon arrival that my order was not ready and would not be fulfilled at all. This order was for an event I was attending, so I was left scrambling at the last minute while staff showed no acknowledgment or accountability for their mistake. I was never contacted, never proactively refunded, and had extreme difficulty reaching anyone. Phone calls went unanswered repeatedly. As a last resort, I commented on one of their Instagram posts and my comment was deleted. I posted again and still received no response. It wasn't until over a month later that someone finally shared an alternate phone number for a staff member. When the refund was finally processed, it was only partial about 65% of the total charge. I am still having to follow up to recover the remaining balance. To make matters worse, I was blocked from their Instagram page. At this point, this is no longer about the money. It's about the complete lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic customer service. I am a reasonable person and understand that the food industry is complex but businesses do not have the right to charge customers, fail to deliver, avoid communication, and then silence them. This experience was not only disappointing, it was disrespectful. Unfortunately, this is one of the only places offering Colombian food in the area, which leaves customers with little choice. A quick look at reviews across platforms shows that customer service issues are a consistent pattern. I had previous less-than-great experiences ordering here, but this was the tipping point. This business seriously needs education and improvement in customer service. Customers deserve transparency, communication, and respect.
