This place has gone down hill so badly ! The customer service is the worst ever . Asked the bar tender if we could get some help opening an umbrella so we could eat outside on a beautiful Sunday afternoon (3/22/2026)! The bartender said sure and never sent anybody to open the umbrella or to even check on our table the whole time we were there . The young lady who brought us our food seemed extremely confused. When we asked to have the umbrella open outside for us to eat this young lady said .... " You have to go into the bar and ask somebody ." She didn't bother to ask her co workers for us. So I asked the bartender said he would take care of it right away and did absolutely nada ! The food has really gone down hill! The Colombian restaurants in Queens, Ny or anywhere else are so superior to this place ! read more

This place is not, what it use to be. I just went for lunch, the quality of the food and service has really diminished. The food was reheated, dry and or refried and the quality is just not there anymore. On top of that half of what I ordered was unavailable. Excellent place! This is located in a "food hall" not in a closed restaurant but the service is amazing, the food is excellent... I felt like I was back in Colombia!! The taste of EVERYTHING is delicious. The owner of the restaurant is such a kind person, it was my birthday and him and the staff sang happy birthday to me with a Colombian hat and the cake we bought to celebrate. Fabulous! Cannot wait to come back. Great food, prepared perfectly, wonderful service by Javier. We were surprised the Hawaiian empanada was our favorite over the beef and the chicken. Sauces are all homemade, but for us, the green one was the winner. The loca arepa is a hearty meal in itself, with a cheese stuffed arepa topped with your choice of protein, avocado, egg and sauce on the side. It was a lovely and tasty dinner. I've been coming to this little gem since it opened. I should have written a review years ago but honestly thought I already had! Everything here is great from the customer service to the food. We've tried almost everything on the menu but the top items we keep coming back for are the empanadas (pollo and carne are both good but the beef shines), jugo mora (blackberry juice), arepas (all of them), and pandebonos (cheese bread). The staff are so sweet and they even have authentic Colombian decor like the Chiva (the colorful bus/truck near the checkout counter). Food is made to order so grab a table, enjoy the live music or other food and drink stations in the food hall while you wait. It's a total experience and well worth it! read more

As a Colombian from NY I have been searching for any Colombian cuisine I can find. Some are passable, but this place is by far the best I've come across in the last 10 years. I don't live in Leesburg so I had no idea this place existed until now. It is situated inside of a brewery and set up as a counter along with a few other food options, like a mini food hall. This was a great idea. There is a central brewery with smaller restaurants around the edges. There were three. An Italian pasta place, a nacho place, and this little gem of a Colombian restaurant. I asked for the ajiaco con jugo de guanábana con leche (soursop juice with milk). Everything came out in good time and the soup was great. It even came out with capers. It checks all the "authentic" boxes for me. I also asked for some buñuelos to-go, they were good also! Love the Dedos Queso and Passion Fruit Juice Water here! Super delicious!! The arepas were great as well, especially for this area. I went there last weekend with my husband, I ordered the casuela de frijoles and it was delicious it came with 2 small arepas sin sal and chicharrón. When we were leaving we ordered 10 pandebonos and 10 buñuelos and a fruit salad and it was delicious... it made me feel at home. Only thing is that the place is hard to find, the first time I went I couldn't find it and I was very frustrated, the second time that I went with my husband it took us a while to find it then we realized it's inside a food court kind of place.. well, if you have ever been to Union Market, it is kind of that similar concept but way smaller. This is a great street food loacted at the Chefscape near Wegman's Leesburg. We had exceptional empanadas - made with Corn flour, first time we had this version. The owner really cares about what he serves you, and showed it in two ways: first when we thought it took longer than we expected for our order to be served, he came out of his booth to explain to us the process of re-heating and why it has to be absolutely perfect to satisfy us. The second time was when he delivered them, and he educated us as to how to hold, dip, and eat them to get the best experience. He was right on both accounts: they were baked to perfection, with very crisp outside, and melted hot inside, hardy any greese on them, and tasted scrumptious! We loved his enthusiasm, and hope he keeps this spot for our future enjoyment, as well as other food loving customers like us. read more

Delicious! I have the special and it was plantain soup, perfect for this cold weather. We also had the empanadas and my husband had the beef arepa. Everything was yummy! I guess this is the best Colombian food for the Leesburg area but definitely not the best in the DMV. We ordered the bandeja paisa, sancocho, and pandebono. The pandebono had a weird smell to it. I can't really describe the smell but I've had good ones before at another Colombian restaurant but these were not it. The bandeja paisa entree definitely lacked flavor. The chicharron from the dish was crispy just how I like it but legit had no flavor whatsoever. The plantain was not ripe enough. The beans and ground beef were probably the only thing I enjoyed from the bandeja paisa. The sancocho (Colombian soup) was meh. I don't really see myself trying this place again. read more

Stopped into Chefscape for a pre-movie dinner. Colombian's Place is really excellent food! Husband and son both had the Bandeja Paisa. They are foodies, and couldn't stop raving about how good it was. Portions were huge and beautifully presented in a wooden plater. I am not a foodie but I am picky. I had the CP salad and the cheese arepa. Both were delicious. The chicken seasoning and house dressing for the salad were amazing. The cheese arepa was light and yummy. The (I assume) owner came over not once but a few times to check on us and tell us about the food. It was obvious he really, really cared about our experience and wanted to make sure everything was perfect. It is so rare to see that these days and it made a great experience over the top excellent. Add to the fact there was also good music playing at the venue, all made for the perfect chill, delicious Friday night dinner! Will totally go back! read more

I needed an arepa fix, and Yelp led me to Colombian's Place at Chefscape. Thank you, fellow yelpers, for helping me find this place! I tried a beef arepa (arepa de carne con queso). It was fresh, hot, slightly crispy on the outside, with tasty filling. It came with two sauces. Colombiana soda is Colombiana soda, but it's hard to find in Northern VA. Glad it was available. My wife tried the chicken empanadas and the pandebono. She said the chicken arepas were good and she was tempted to get another pandebono (cheese bread similar to Bolivian cuñape) before we left. Since my wife is originally from Colombia she is always picky about true Colombian cooking. She loves this place! Most of the menu I am not familiar with, but she swears that is is the real deal. Have to admit that they do have the best arapas I have tasted in any Latin style restaurant. The owners are very nice and have no problem explaining the different items and how they relate to the culture. I was a regular client for a couple of years, a few days ago I order ajiaco, all what they gave me was a mix of soups, a watery soup with tomate!!! Ajiaco never comes with tomates, no flavor, a raw corn... seemed to me that they just add water to whatever they had in the kitchen and gave it to me as ajiaco. When I contacted them -since they are Colombian- they said "well I eat ajiaco with tomates so that's how it is". I asked to talk to manager and she responded "I am the owner, good night". Are you kidding me? So I paid $65 dollars for bandeja Paisa And ajiaco And this is how they treated me? Never again. Don't waste your money there. Oh and in the rice we found a big stone, very bad food. Very bad customer service, very expensive and the owner basically said "you are not satisfied? Too bad I am the owner and no one will help you." Esa sopa era una sopa rendida que seguro tenían de todo el día, una mezcla de caldos y un pollo todo seco y viejo. Nada que ver. Fotos de lo que me dieron y for que tienen en su menú. Ni parecido. I'm really sorry that I have to make a bad review for a place that I should be proud of. I'm colombian and I know what real Colombian food tastes like, every time that I go to this place, the food takes forever to get ready, and it tastes like it's been sitting in the refrigerator. Today we waited almost 45 minutes for 6 pandebonos that tasted like they've been sitting in the fridge for hours. I live 5 minutes from this place but I would prefer to drive an hour to go to "La Fonda Paisa" and enjoy their food, I'm really sorry but I hope the owners do something about this, they are very nice and I'm sure they are hard workers but the taste of their food is terrible. read more
