This was my first time at this barber shop, and i was nervous because, i been getting my hair cut by the same person for like 5 years, and ever time i try someone new they mess my hair up, but my barber has been really busy the last 2 weeks and i really needed a hair cut so my best friend took me to his shop, and well honestly I'm not going to lie, it was a good experience, i was worried at first because everyone always mess my hair line up, but i was happy afterwords, the barber took really good care of me and he asked me questions and even asked how i was doing and where i was from and everything, i really appreciated the attention to detail and then small talk, it really made my comfortable. If you're 21+ they have beer for you, which is awesome reminds me of my home state barbershops in Portland, that was a plus for me. They play some really good movies and shows, and some good rap, i can't lie, they have good taste in music and movies! Lala has been my go to for probably like abt 8 years now. Cant believe its been that long. Been giving her different hairstyles i would want and she always delivers. Just left this place 15 minutes ago. My 12 year old brother had an appointment at noon with Celso. We showed up 10 minutes early and right when Celso walked in, I already had a feeling that he was high (I'm very cannibus friendly, I didn't mind) My brother asked for a 3 on top, 1 on the sides. The waiting area started to fill up so after a few minutes I went to my car and when I came back in, my brother's hair was NOT what he asked for. It was a 1 on top and tapered on the sides. Oh, and he was also very unprofessional and kept texting on his phone before he started cutting my brother's hair (mind you, hella people were waiting on the couches) My little brother cried right when we got to the car. Brought my son to get a haircut here today because I couldn't make it to his normal barber. Walked in. Not welcoming at all. I did not have an appointment but she was able to help me. Everyone else that walked in was turned away so I guess we got lucky. She cut his hair in about 20 mins which is the fastest haircut he has ever had from a professional barber. When done I looked at him closer. It was not what I expected. The blend is not there. And what even worse is that the girl charged me $35 dollars for his cut. Prior to her telling me the price, another barber told someone $25 for a kids cut. I don't see why the big difference. $35 DOLLARS FOR A KIDS CUT???? Wow. Can't say I will be returning. I have been coming to this place for over a year. Mainly due to the convenience aspect as it is close to home. I have tried both appointments and walk-ins. Appointments were convenient however there were several times I walked in 5 min before the appointment and would still wait 15 min or more. So felt as the extra fee wasn't warranted. Walk-ins are the worst, the wait can be easily be over an hour on a weekday as there are so many "appointments" and they get a priority. So on a Friday or Saturday you can expect much worst. As far as barbers, the cuts are good. Just need a better system with appointment and walk-ins. Out of 20 plus times there I've done about half and half and my experience with the wait time had been poor to fair. Time to try new shops in the area. About done giving it an extra shot. I have taken my son here a couple of times just because the location was convenient. The employees act like elitists, too good to talk to you unless you are a buddy of theirs. They spend a lot of time grooming themselves in front of their mirrors. There isn't anything special about this shop. It has the typical decor. These shops are a dime a dozen. The last time we just walked in and I asked if anyone would be able to cut my son's hair before they closed, if not I would come back. They all just looked at me vacantly. One guy finally said yeah. 30 minutes later he comes up to me and told me the haircut would be $30 because it would be "after hour pricing" and that I might want to come back when they open tomorrow. I've been here a few times now, but this past experience was probably my last. Maybe I'm more aware of these things now that I'm a dad, but it's just too much of an "in the club" environment. If the barbers spent less time goofing off with each other, smoking weed in the back, and "trying to find their jam" then perhaps a simple line up wouldn't take 45 minutes. I know they're smoking weed out back because my barber's hands were definitely not clean. I understand it's legal, but you're responsible for cleanliness...rubber gloves aren't going to cover it all. This might be a cool place for high school kids and 20 year olds, but I'm going to pass from now on. Sloppy work, overpriced, and the environment is just not my thing. I highly recommend this place. I see Victor and he does an excellent job on my hair. My wife won't let me go anywhere else now. I have not witnessed the bad things some of the Yelpers have said. As a matter of fact, I have witnessed more than one police officer get there haircuts there. I haven't smelled weed and I have not seen them on their phones excessively. They do play some loud music in there and I have heard very few songs with curse words in them. I noticed they do play some good movies on big screens in the shop. The owner of the shop has tattoos on his face, but he is a very nice guy. He might scare some people, but when you talk to him he is a really nice guy. They give candies out for everyone and they do have complimentary beers and soda. I see kids in there all the time and never saw any issues. Make sure to pay attention to the reviews and you will see that often times on Yelp it has to do with wait times, etc., but nothing to do with the quality of the cut. I would recommend you get one of the barbers in there you like and get their business card. Call them and make an appointment so you never have to wait long. Haircuts are 17 for kids and 20 for adults. They give military and student discounts. They do have a female barber in there who may cut females too. read more

This establishment claims to take "walk-ins". I was on a time crunch, and decided on this place. They open at 9AM on weekdays. I walked in at 9:40AM (Wednesday). No clients seated in the chairs, waiting, or signed in for service. There's one barber at his station in the front, and someone can be heard in the back. I signed in, waiting to be serviced. The entire time, the barber was fixed on his phone, and periodically carrying random conversations, directed at the person in the back; not once was I acknowledged. At 10:01AM, I got up to cross my name off of the list. It wasn't until I started walking out, that the employe asked: "You waiting for someone, bro?". I politely responded, "No, but, I'm good". I spent the next 10 minutes in the parking lot, searching for another shop elsewhere; no one walked into the shop after I'd left. This service, or LACK thereof, is unacceptable. Awesome experience!! I freaking love this place. I just had an hour lunch for work and decided to get a quick haircut. So Cooper gave me a really nice clean cut! I love it. Honestly it's better than the other barber shop I go in riverside and for $20 can't beat it! Now my coworker was there with me and they all thought she was my gf unfortunately that's not that case. Honestly I'm not sure what the issue is here . They seem to have a some what decent set up here how ever the barber skills just aren't there or I don't know what it is.
