ZERO STARS. DO NOT GO HERE. Complete SCAM ARTISTS! I had the WORST experience at Empire - Exhaust/Custom (351 N White Ave, Pomona, CA 91768). Higinio, the owner, charged me $2000 to "replace" the catalytic converter on my 2011 Chevy Cruze. He swore it was a brand new part from a dealership with a warranty. Less than a week later, my car overheated and was throwing all sorts of new codes that WEREN'T THERE BEFORE. I took it back, and they kept it for TWO WEEKS, only to return it with different fuses unplugged. No parts were changed, and Isinio KEPT my $2000! On top of that, he has inexperienced kids doing the work instead of doing it himself, and I even saw them using customers' cars to give rides to other people! Seriously?! This place is a joke. They're running a shady operation. If you try to find them on maps, you won't. They play foul and will rip you off. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! read more

I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! coming here I had a axle back exhaust installed here and a year later it had fallen off as I was leaving work. Which tore off my rear bumper leaving holes where the hangers had poked through, tearing off all the clips on my bumper. I went back to the shop so they can put my exhaust back on and pay for the damages but they didn't. The owner Higinio still charged me to reinstall it. Which is just ridiculous after what damage it had just done to my car. There's much better shops nearby I also hear they take the cars out for joy rides after when the shops closed. read more

I called around this past weekend looking to put a car specific hitch on my Ford C Max. I bought a bike carrier and needed this hitch installed. The owner told me to come down to the shop Monday. I came down and it took about an hour but they were able to install the hitch even though they needed to drill two holes into the bottom frame. The hitch is on and so is my new bike carrier. Both are working great and they did a great job. I understand they work on custom muscle cars a lot due to the amount of cool muscle cars at the shop so I'm grateful they took the time to do something like install a hitch for me. Higinio was so wonderful helping my 90 year old in-laws. My in-laws went to mass at 8am and went they came out their catalytic converter was stolen. We live an hour away from my in-laws so I was handling everything on the phone from afar. We found Empire through Yelp and the AAA driver was very familiar with Empire (and Higinio) and shared with us their new address. Higinio was so wonderful and helpful over the phone. His kindness is the reason we chose Empire rather than another shop we called. The AAA driver drove my in-laws to Empire and Higinio was so kind driving them home. I offered to tip him via Venmo and he absolutely refused and said he's happy to help out residents in the community. Not only did he drop them off at home but also picked them up when the car was done. Higinio also offered us a catalytic converter that doesn't have the special metals in it the thieves are looking for which was only $60 more. We had no idea these were a new option. My 90 year old in-laws were shaken up, didn't know what to do, and now had transportation issues. Thank God there are still good people in the world like Higinio.
