Showed up ready to move, but employee said the 12-ft was unavailable due to someone extending their rental--only a 28-ft truck left. I said no to the huge price jump and asked for my reserved size or refund. He refused, called a manager, and pushed the larger truck anyway. No manager contact info provided despite asking repeatedly. No real vehicle inspection done--he just checked boxes without looking. Truck had engine, DEF, and battery warning lights on. Halfway through my move, it stalled from DEF issues; roadside assistance took 3 hours (company fault). Ruined my moving day and cost me extra time/money. Update (new developments after original review): It gets much worse. The 28-ft truck turned out to have severe brake defects--mechanic inspection confirmed all four brake pads at the lowest measurable thickness and the right front caliper blown, making it essentially totaled and dangerously unsafe when rented. This caused physical strain while driving (neck/back pain from compensating for poor braking; elevated BP/heart rate documented by paramedics who were called to on scene in Fullerton). Fullerton PD incident report was filed for the breakdown and safety concerns; police supervised leaving the truck there. Employee Kanshi (the same rude one from pickup) harassed my wife on calls--repeatedly called her "bitch" in front of our infant child, used profanity--and physically threw rental documents at me in person. Manager Shahid oversees the location. The breakdown and 4+ hour tow delay stranded us roadside with our baby, leading to massive extra costs totaling $2,560+ (U-Haul rental to retrieve belongings, extra gas for personal car, additional infant formula, extended daycare due to federal holiday delay, paying/rescheduling movers who couldn't work, medical follow-up for neck/back pain). Already contacted Budget customer service multiple times--no real resolution yet. This is classic bait-and-switch combined with negligent maintenance and unacceptable employee behavior. The truck was not roadworthy, putting us in real danger. If you need a reliable truck on a tight schedule, go elsewhere (U-Haul, Penske, etc.). Not worth the risk to your safety, time, money, or family.

We've rented 2 vehicles within a month for local road trip purposes. Both cars were very clean, serviced up to date, had gas and ran smoothly. No problems whatsoever. We rented a Toyota Sienna 7 passenger mini van that had plenty of space and was honestly one of my favorite rentals, super good on gas! Next, was a smaller mid-size Mazda 4 cylinder. Amazing on gas of course & really easy to drive. Lee is so quick to respond and is an excellent communicator. He has a great feel for making sure his clients are taken care of. He goes above and beyond to make sure your rental experience with him runs as smooth as possible. He is such a nice guy and really makes it a point to help you especially if you're in a bind for a rental. Lee even offered pick up/drop off services. AND he gave me a free apple car charger for the road. Seriously just the best. They accept all forms of payment. Credit card, Debit Card, Cash, Zelle. There is no credit check. There is a $500 deposit that will be returned to you once the rental is returned. THEY ARE OPEN 24 HOURS but the lot is locked so you will need to call before hand to meet Lee or another employee at the lot. It isn't your typical Car rental place that you can just enter during business hours. Think of this as a private car rental agency exclusive to those who "know" lol. It really is a great business. If I had to compare, it works the same as a TURO rental but obviously better. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend renting from here. An option to choose from if you don't have a credit card.
