Hubby was craving American Chinese take out so we did a search for something still open and nearby. Our usual spot is close so we were okay with trying a new place. We ordered: - Fried Chicken Wings With Vegetable Fried Rice ("hot sauce on side") - small pint of Bean Curd with Vegetable Soup - Boneless Spare Ribs Combination Platter with White Rice - Cold Noodles with Sesame Sauce with "extra sesame sauce on the side" - 2 orders of Spring Roll ("duck sauce on side") The noodle with sesame sauce would be for lunch; the extra sauce can be for home-made noodles meal another meal time. Delivery came on time and food was yummy as a typical Chinese take out would be. Was craving sesame noodles so ordered it to be lunch for the next day. By letting it refrigerate overnight; it became more flavorful. I thought the boneless spare ribs were rather dry and tough (not tender or juicy). I order and pickup from these guys quite frequently. So far they haven't disappointed me yet. Food is always good and has a consistent flavor. Both delivery and pickup is very quick. Its also conveniently located where you can just park and run in to grab your food without having to search for parking or risking getting a ticket. As far as the inside, its your typical Chinese takeout spot. Counter with the kitchen in back and a few tables out front which no one ever uses for eating. I want to start off and say that this one of the best chinese restuarants in Brooklyn. Their food is always cooked fresh and they have variety off options to choose from on their menu. Their sesame chicken has outstanding mouthwatering flavor they use some kind of sauce that give their sesame chicken the flavor not to mention their boneless spare ribs are juicy tender cooked, and nice and red. their white rice is well cooked and it taste so good. Empire house has all sorts of seafood dishes, meat dishes, vegetable dishes, rice dishes and lo mein dishes, delivary is fast but be prepared to tip. Only thing though they be taxing for food but its worth paying more because you pay extra for something extra good. No chinese restuarant can compare to this one not in my book. read more

The shrimp in my shrimp with lobster sauce had not been de-veined, and the "lobster sauce" itself had what looked like pieces of leftover beef in it. My spring rolls tasted like rancid cooking oil. I wish I could give zero stars. I ordered shrimp mei fun. Mei fun is a rice noodle dish with spices, usually incorporates sauteed vegetables and a protein. What did I got? Shrimp over cabbage. Ordered today to try a new place on seamless. Wontons were ok but more hard than crispy. Chicken dumplings seamed that they were more like empanadas. No idea what wrapper they used but did not seem to be rice based. Also ordered roast pork egg foo young. Maybe it is just me but the gravy sauce seemed too dark where as I am use to a more creamy lighter gravy. All and all, was not very impressed and will prob not order again read more

This is by far the best Chinese food delivery in this area of Brooklyn. I have had almost everything on their menu and I have no complaints. They make really great fried rice and ribs. I have a love and hate relationship with this place. I love the food it's really fantastic hence the three stars but if it wasn't for their slow delivery it would be all 5. This used to be our go to place but about a year ago either their ownership changed or something change but their delivery is horrible. It's a Chinese take out place. Had better. Had worse. It sits right in the middle. The edge it has over any other is that it is right around the corner from where I live. I don't see traveling from afar for food from this particular place but on the bright side, I don't go out of my way to avoid the joint either.
