I panicked b/c he broke it and he was going to take the door out exposing the opening to my gas pump. He forced to door to close and I drove away. Before I left, I told him that he broke it and kept denying it. Well, I went to my auto repair guy b/c I could not open the door so I can gas up. It was shut close. He fixed the issue and it cost me $387. He told me that the attendant broke the switch that opens the door. These people are liars and not honorable. I would never go back there again. Beware! PS. The owner, a very nice man, told me to walk with him and he checked my tires. He remarked that I must not drive a lot. I said mostly to Riverhead, and in CO everything was within 10 minutes. He checked to see if he had a slightly used tire in stock. He did not, so had to order one. It's $305 for a new tire, including mounting. He's going to rotate the tires for $20. I didn't ask if he does price matching. I might have gotten a better price somewhere else, but I need this done. He said that he'll call me when the tire comes in, probably today. But I have to donate blood in Flanders, and he closes at 3 on Saturdays. So maybe Monday. I asked about an oil change, but they only do tires.

So I called to ask if someone could replace the trim clips. I have an enormous assortment, which I purchased online. Anthony said to bring the car over, and he'll take a look. Well, none of the 620 clips in the box will work. Pfffft. He said that the clips have to go in a certain way, and they slide on. He said that I will have to go to Land Rover for the clips, and he would install them. He very kindly put some more tape on the trim, and didn't charge me for it. I will get the clips, and return. I also need his help with another issue, and I feel very confident that he'll do a great job at a fair price. I am delighted to have found a good mechanic!! I have a wonderful mechanic in Colorado, and wasn't sure if I could find one of his caliber in NY. I'm happy to say that I believe that I have!
