Had an appt, showed up, was lied to about a machine being broken but it seemed to be an inside joke. I was clearly told that my business was not wanted. "There are many places that do inspections" he said, even after I asked to make another appt. I was there about an inspection for my truck - a work-like mud teens F-150. But I am also looking for a local mechanic to work with. He has no idea who he turned away. Guess he doesn't like classic cars, race cars, etc. He now never gets to see mine. Don't even try here. As the owner points out, there are many other businesses that WANT your money. Just not Sam. read more

The owner also yelled at me. He said I wasn't following directions and when he repeated them they were entirely contradictory. I think he's the sort of person who cannot admit if he doesn't know something and becomes enraged if you question him. Take your chances..it seems others have had good service, but life is too short for this. By the way, the guy who covered for him when he was out seemed dead drunk. read more

Serving the local community, I have found Sam's to be friendly, helpful, and competent. Their brake job on my 2019 Audi A6 was timely and much less costly that the dealer's. A simple flat repair was just that - not an attempt to sell me new tires. An when I needed my car delivered to my home after service, they obliged willingly. I took my 2007 Jeep Wrangler for some brake work this past Saturday. German quoted reasonably. Unforeseen additional work was needed and again, German quoted reasonably. I was only out for the weekend so he made sure that I got the Jeep back that same day. I only have positive vibes and would recommend them without hesitation. read more

The owner has a terrible attitude. He yelled at me when I asked when he could get the part for my car. He said that he is tried of "you" people, cursed at me and hung up. I immediately picked up my car unserviced. I would not give someone like that business. Nasty!! read more

I live up the street from Sam's so it would have been nice to be able to go to a place in which the service is friendly, the work competent, and the prices fair. Unfortunately the service is rude and the prices astronomical. They charge $40 to plug a tire. At any other garage in the area the price is $25, maybe $30. One of the men who works in the bait and tackle shop which is attached to the garage decided he had a problem with me waiting in the waiting area to talk to someone about fixing my tire, and told me to wait in the driveway. I have been getting work done throughout the years at Bonac Speed Shop (now Sam's) and this same person was there during this time as well. I quickly left the garage after exchanging some words with the bait and tackle guy who kept saying "this is my house" and went to another shop which fixed my flat competently, quickly, for a fair price, and was perfectly pleasant to deal with. Do not go to Sam's or the Bait and Tackle unless you enjoy rude service and getting gouged on price. read more

As a woman, it can be hard sometimes to trust the value of the work being done on your vehicle. I suppose this could be the same for a man. I absolutely love German and his team. For starters, it's such a cool rock 'n' roll environment, not that that has anything to do with quality of service, but its a vibe! He and his huge German Shepherd are warm, honest, and have all-around good vibes. They have helped me with major emergencies and always present me with a reasonable rate. I have both an 89 jeep wrangler and a newer BMW X5 and they do great work on both. This place comes highly recommended! read more

I'd give 6 stars if I could. My battery seemed dead and car would not accept a jump. I walked from my car to Sam's. Although after 5pm, German happily offered to drive with me in his car back to my dead car so he could take a look. He immediately saw the issue, started my car and got me a replacement battery the next day. Great service with a smile! read more

Filled up my tank with gas as Sam's and the attendant *mistakenly* added an additional $10 to the credit card slip. Wonder if this is something he regularly does so he can take $10 in cash from the register. I won't be coming back to find out. read more
