When he was done, he asked how he could help and I told him I had called about a piercing and he directed me to the piercer, Adam. He's super cool and cute, btw. I got a real "personal" piercing, and he made me feel so relaxed cuz I was really nervous. And once it was done I was shocked, it was the piercing that I expected I would be in the most pain in and I didn't even feel it. I was up and walking around like nothing. Came here after having a horrible experience at another tattoo shop and was so relieved to find that this place was so professional! Had a nose piercing gone wrong from another place and after speaking to London I decided to take out my nose piercing and let it heal so I can get it redone entirely to fix it. Absolutely disgusted! Came in last week asking for a simple butterfly tattoo on my side. The artist name was Ruben that I talked to, he was rude as shit and told me that it wouldn't look good because of my fat. That if I was a skinnier girl it would work but not for me. Then we went on to tell me I should get it on my arm but that might hurt because tattooing on fat is sensitive. Is this what they call good service? Is this how they run their business? I got a tattoo done on the back of my leg. When I initially called, I got Louie, and he had me send him an example of what I wanted to get. Then we set an appointment for the same day. When I got there, he was very accommodating, and had the design ready for me. When it was done I was VERY happy with it! It looked better than I was expecting! Also it was reasonably priced. I can only speak to the piercings here, but I am so happy I found this place. The gentlemen who work at the shop were nice when we walked in, very attentive and helpful in pointing me to the right employee for piercing. Shop was very clean, well lit, upkept and a comfortable atmosphere. Couches available in case of a wait. Adam the piercer was very kind, I was nervous about doing my industrial and he was a very calming presence. He explained everything, got me through the piercing quickly and efficiently. Helpful in explaining how to care for it afterwards, really nice guy. Very clean setup in his little space, it was obvious that everything was on the up and up here. Today, is my birthday, and I decided I wanted to get something pierced for the heck of it! I walked into empire tattoo and a part-time body piercer was more than happy to help me. He was very nice and handed me a consent form, although I had a 30/45 minute wait, he was still happy to see me and help me out. He was patient when I had to choose my body jewelry (I was very indecisive) and gave me some tips on the jewelry. After waiting another 5 minutes while he prepped and set it up, he talked to me and made me feel comfortable to trust him. I felt I was in very good hands and he placed my mark exactly where I wanted it. Sadly I was so tired that did not catch his name, but still a rad guy! The piercing itself took less than 5 minutes and was a breeze! Although I have some other piercings, he kept me updated on how I should take care of my nose and was totally awesome! Got my nose pierced by London and I 100% recommend getting pierced by him! He has a great personality and my nose piercing is healing perfectly. Today a girlfriend and I went to Empire Tattoo Studios for new ear piercings. London Hernandez, a professional piercing artist with over 12+ years of experience greeted us. He went over the best gauge size & type of earrings we were looking for. He was absolutely wonderful, patiently explaining "everything" and putting you at ease. During the procedure you felt only a little pinch and after that no pain whatsoever. Also London made sure the earrings were placed "perfectly even" on both side of the ears. The prices are definitely affordable and worth paying for if you're looking for expertise and quality. (Also make sure you bring cash and your ID). I came into this place a little after my 21st birthday to get a price on a tattoo. Well I was literally pressured into the chair by the supposed artist and I use that term loosely. His name was TJ. In case any of you where wondering. He got the stencil on and couldn't even follow a simple line drawing. He blew the lines in many places and skipped little bits here and there. It is god awful ! I am considering getting it lasered off. Please if you value your skin go else where. I got my second tattoo a little over a year ago and am in love with it. I wouldn't dream of parting with it. He was very professional and when we showed him what we were going for he gave us his opinion of what could work and what couldn't regarding lettering because we wanted tats that would look nice and clean and not get illegible after a couple years. I got my first tattoo here and even though $120 was a bit steep for me, I figured I'd pay for something that would be done well since it would be stuck on my body forever pretty much. I got it done by Mark and he's was cool. Nice guy, not much of a talker though, but was flexible because right before he started doing the outline, I realized there was one more petal than there should have been so he had to redraw it right away. I liked how it came out, the redraw. I almost died when he did only the outline, but it was my wrist so it was understandable. The tattoo itself took less than an hour, and boy did it drag on. But overall, the experience was nice. I would have liked a little better interaction from everyone and it seemed like they were thinking about something else and not fully paying attention all the time. I was torn between 3 and 4 stars, so think of it like 3.5 stars. read more

I hope nothing like my experience ever happens to anyone else's daughter. My daughter on her 18th birthday wanted to get her first tattoo with her cousin and brother at her side. The first disgust is that they never once asked for an ID or proof of age. They never knew the age of my barley 18 yr old daughter. Mind you she looks as if she's 15. The artist she worked with was Paul E or Pauly. She told him she wanted a lotus flower between her boobs. He said he could do it and lead her to the back. She had a button up flannel on to reveal the middle portion of her chest. He told her that she needed to completely take her shirt off in order for him to "work". She thought it was weird but thought he was a professional and complied. When she took her shirt off she tried covering her breast with her hands but he told her to drop her hands so he "could see if it was centered." She hesitated but he said he "had to see if it was center with her nipples." She hesitated but did drop her hands. After he saw he proceeded to call over 3 other men in the shop to "see if it is centered." She covered herself with her hands again but again Paul E told her to drop her hands so they could see. Once they determined "it looked good" she proceeded to tell her brother and cousin to come to the back with her. Paul e then said "you probably shouldn't unless you want an audience." She insisted and had them come to the back. When her cousin walked to the back and saw she was completely topless the cousin asked the artist why she she didn't have nipple tape on. Paul E said " he didn't have any" and said "why, we have all already seen." As she was getting tattooed another artist commented how in love with her he was. After the tattoo was done Paul asked if he could take a pic for his Instagram. She allowed it and had the flannel on and only showed the middle of her chest to reveal the tattoo. He then asked her to take the tape off her nipples and her shirt so he can take pics so he can show "it is centered." She said no. He insisted a few more times and she continued to say no. He said " it will only be be for me and I won't post it." She said no. He then asked if she was going to keep the tape on her boobs. She proceeded to turn around and take the take off and Paul E then says "aww I wanted to do that part." It is disgusting to think how someone like still has a job where he has access to young girls. It is disgusting how it took 4 grown men to see if a flower "was centered " on my daughters chest and she couldn't put her hands over her breasts to cover herself when she tried. I will make sure everyone knows what trash works here at this shop. It's disgusting that my daughter thinking she was going to a "professional" tattoo shop was taken advantage of not knowing this is not what is needed to do a tattoo. It's disgusting that none of the other three grown men stepped in and said anything. read more
