Lively atmosphere with bumping music and loads of retro games. I loved having a drink and enjoying the art painted on the walls. I was there on a Friday and there was a live DJ. The drinks were reasonably priced and they even had a cheap beer special. The games cost about one or two tokens. I think it shakes out to be about 25 cents per token. I used $5 and was able to play as many as I wanted. I especially loved all the pinball machines. I would definitely come back for some late night fun!

I've been here a few times to play arcade games. It is clean and service is fairly quick to get a drink. It is free to get in and there usually isn't a line to play games. It's a cute date night or place to go with friends or coworkers. They don't have food. I'll go back.

very cool little arcade! enjoyed playing air hockey and NBA Jam as well as Mortal Kombat. loved the options for THC beverages for the 420 friendly crowd that may not drink alcohol, very cool. only thing that would make this place better would be Dance Dance Revolution!

This was a fun bar to check out. I love arcade bars! My friends and I came to kill some time before our table was ready at a nearby restaurant. I got a can of Juneshine (hard kombucha). They have Miss Pac Man and Galaga! You have to purchase tokens to play. There aren't that many spots to sit. There's some seating at the front by the pool tables and some tables in the back.

We went in on a Thursday night ngl they vibes were sad. They were playing elevator music or like jazz around 8pm further into the night Dj ACE Spade showed up to rock the places with hits. It definitely made things better. You can bring your own food in. PRO TIP HAROLDS IS ACROSS THE STREET! so it's a win win. They bar doesn't have food so their super accommodating on that gesture. I'll definitely return.

Bathroom is covered in colorful graffiti - love it!!

A bar and arcade hybrid, Emporium is truly such a unique and fun place. This is the type of bar I'd recommend to people traveling to Chicago to get that real Chicago feel! My friends and I spent like 2 hours here. We came after brunch around 3:15 and there was very minimal people. They're very Covid compliant and you can smell the cleanliness right when you walk in. Hand sanitizer dispensers everywhere! The drinks here are very standard, but then again we got basic mixed drinks like vodka cranberries and vodka soda limes. They had cool cocktails and 2 alcoholic slushee machines. The bartender was soooo nice, as well! My friends and I played almost all the games - our favorite was skeeball. I know they have other locations, but I really liked this Wicker Park location and would totally recommend it!

Just popped in because the logo looked cool while walking, but I think this is a cute little date spot to check out esp on a Monday since it's FREE POOL all night long! (Also read for funny story) Walked in and it's got the cutest ambiance with pink neon light and spray painted walls with different arcade game characters all over. There were a few long tables available and I saw a cute Photo Booth (in pictures). I asked the bartender for the sweetest cocktail/"drafttails" and got the Rumedy Slushee which was actually very fruity and summer-y. I loved it since it was essentially a cocktail Icee and cooled me down from walking around the city. And I was by myself and some rando started acting up and called me a b-- for not giving him attention. And even held up the chair for a second. But the bartender immediately called for the bouncer and kicked him out. Felt very safe because of her. Definitely will be checking this place out with my bf for game night and pool (specifically on Mondays!) & sending my thanks to the bartender!

The emporium was one of my favorite things I did in Chicago despite a few hiccups! I wish they had these in LA. Emporium has a ton of old arcade games which made it such an experience. This is a great place to meet friends or to have a date. We got there around opening and had the place to ourselves for a while, which was fun because we could try all the games! The reason this was not as great as it could have been was many of the games were broken. We paid for tokens and ended up leaving most of them because half the games were out of service. In addition to this, the service was pretty unfriendly and bad. The bouncer was really really rude- we went inside and walked to the bar because we didn't think he was an employee; he was eating and going on his phone at the bar. He acted like we were trying to sneak in, despite it being super empty and us being clearly over 21. The bartender was also pretty standoffish and did not explain the tokens very well. My partner asked a few questions about the drinks available and she seemed genuinely annoyed by them. If they fixed up their games a bit and trained their staff, this would easily be 5 stars! Love this idea.

While in Chicago for our staff retreat, we were looking for a fun place for team bonding and drinks. The Emporium was by far the perfect spot! The bartenders were extremely nice and had fun pouring us drinks all night long. The tokens are cheap and our big group of 20 were able to stay for hours, having fun the whole time! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a fun night out! One item to note is they don't have food at the Emporium but allow you to bring it outside food.

TLDR: Awesome bar with great selection of retro games and stiff cocktails. Perfect place to hang with a group. Vibe: 5/5. Very cool decor from floor to ceiling. Anime murals on the walls with blacklight accent lighting in both rooms gives it a retro arcade feel. On the night we went they had several electronic DJs playing until close. The selection of retro arcade games is impressive. They have all the 90s fan favorites such as Lethal Enforcer, Rampage, Mortal Kombat etc. The classics like skeeball, free throw and air hockey are also present. Service: 5/5. The bartenders at the Emporium are excellent. Attentive and professional, they kept the drinks flowing all night long even during peak hours. Drinks: 4/5. Offering your basic cocktails and decent beer selection. All drinks were made stiff and well concocted. Had a decent draft selection of about a dozen or so local brews. Prices were very reasonable.

The truth of the statement revealed itself as vaunted ceilings gave this cavernous room an aura of grandeur and the feeling of tradition. There were beings engaged in erudite studies with an inflexible concentration on laptops, notebooks, and in the back were old men going back and forth on the chessboards. It was still and had the eerie silence of a church chapel and sunbeams flowed in from the windows above. What an alien universe and there I was with a large foil tin carrying thirty of the best chicken wings Chicago had to offer. After the religious pilgrimage to Wings Around the World, Reuben H and Aurore L had the good sense to take us all to Reynolds where we wouldn't be bothered and be allowed to worship our wings in peace. For the moment, Reuben went to fetch pop while Aurore went off as well. I was alone and a heretic - a trespasser sneaking in and using up space that I had no right to, but the chess players were very old and had no business being there either. Then it came to me that everyone was allowed in and Reynolds was there for all to share, no identification required! Lined on the walls are large portraits showing various trustees of the University of Chicago. Lists of past Presidents line the wall and the fashion progression from long beards and robes to finely made designer suits and shaved faces led us to mock one portrait - he definitely wanted some of our chicken wings! We cracked open our wings and uncapped our pops only to find that the Cherry Pepsi was expired! While we munched and crunched on our chicken wings, nary a soul turned their heads nor noticed what fine dining we were helping ourselves to. The unbending concentration of the other people in the hall sustained itself except for the old chess players who all got up and went out for a smoke. We ate undisturbed and worked to get rid of the evidence. On our way out a young college student declared that he was going to have to retake high school chemistry. We laughed about it and then I thought that they were right - It really was just like Harry Potter!

It was on our list of wedding venues to tour--we arrived, and immediately fell in love. The staff was extremely professional and worked efficiently throughout the process. They take care of EVERYTHING; set up, tear down, linens, place settings, table numbers, water, wine, changing courses, bridal suite, the bar, you name it! We just had to walk in and enjoy. The food was restaurant-quality - no banquet halls here! Many people emphatically said that was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. The menu tasting was a wonderful experience guided by the Chief of Staff, and included a personal visit from the chef near the end. There are many great food and wine options, it was hard to limit ourselves to just a few! The staff was very helpful in accommodating our guests with dietary restrictions and allergies; if one of the food choices would not work, they created a special alternative dish for them at no extra charge. They were so organized, they even remembered to not drizzle honey on one of our guest's dessert. I checked with every single one of our guests who needed an accommodation, and every single one was fulfilled. We even had a guest who was arriving late; his food was kept warm and brought out immediately when he arrived. As the bride and groom, we got to sit at the head table with our personal Head Waiter, Justin, who was awesome. He made sure our water and wine glasses were always full, and would personally deliver them to us throughout the night whether we were chatting at a table or in the middle of the dance floor. He said he was there if we needed anything, and he always jumped in to help with a smile. Our guests repeatedly told us how beautiful, elegant, and classy the venue was. The Tiffany Room and first floor galleries were the perfect setup for cocktail hour, and everyone loved the gorgeous glasswork (and open bar). The Wisteria room, bathed in candlelight, with a view of the Chicago Skyline, was perfect for dinner and dancing. The staff was professional and helpful, and the entire event ran smoothly. We specifically wanted a venue that would "do it all" so we didn't have to, and Halim Time and Glass Museum absolutely delivered. We treasure the experience we had on our special day and thank Jessica and all of the staff for making it the perfect experience.
