I did a quick search for a local chiropractor near me. Luckily I was able to get an appt here the next day at the earliest. They emailed me forms to fill out about my history. I Found my way upstairs to the office. Even though I was 20 minutes early I found myself waiting a half hour passed my appointment before I was called in. I was patiently waiting, had some water, then Cody called me in and did a thorough exam before the adjustments. I haven't seen a chiropractor In many years but he was walking me through each step. The vibrating massage tool thing was cool and not overly loud. It helped Loosen up those tight muscles! He took his time and was open to answer any questions I had. After a few cracks and pops I was out the door. It felt amazing!! Dr. Kim really cares about your wellbeing and has an uncanny insight into what structurally is wrong. I highly recommend Dr. Kim for all your chiropractic needs! MY EXPERIENCE: Dr. Kim was recommended to me by name from an energy medicine practitioner I was seeing. She told me that Dr. Kim was the best chiropractor she'd ever known and was making tremendous progress healing injuries almost half a century old. I was skeptical but I decided to give her a try. I was even more skeptical when I realized the building was small, right off the main road, and you would miss it if you weren't looking for it. There was not much parking available, but I managed to find a spot and went inside. Inside the door was a little reception area, and on my first appointment I was a little confused by the energy. If you are sensitive, or empathic, you will know what I mean. I noticed a few crystals and an aromatherapy mister making the place smell very nice. They were very busy and perhaps a bit behind, and at first I felt a little ignored. It was only later that I learned that it was because Dr. Kim dedicates whatever amount of time is required for each patient, a true measure of caring. My first appointment they did an intake session, all kinds of measurements and reflex tests to get a baseline for my physical state. After 30 minutes they started massaging areas that I had indicated needing attention as sore or bound up, with a rapidly vibrating device. This is what they call the "Rapid Release Technique" or "Active Release Technique". After about 45 minutes of a thorough exam, I finally got to see Dr. Kim. I didn't know what to expect on first meeting her, but let me tell you, I was blown away by her uncanny intuition when she began to examine me! She's a Texas spitfire, medically trained but also skilled in many alternative and complementary therapies including energy work. Within 30 seconds of beginning to examine me, she found energetic (grounding) and physical reasons for my conditions. As the website says, they do whole body chiro, not just neck and back! She did my neck adjustment in a more thorough way than I've ever had done. Then she finished doing my back, my ribs, my shoulders, and collarbone too. Dr. Kim gave me a complimentary copy of her new book and advised me to do the "zen stretch" described within. The session ended with me getting on a roller bed that used jets of hot water --- it was amazing!! AM I HEALED? After the first visit, my shoulder became straighter, didn't click as much, and felt less chronic soreness in the joint, my neck hurt a little less (I am a writer and web developer, so I spend a lot of hours sitting in front of a computer and using a mouse), and my lower back, hips, and feet were feeling better, as well. After 2 months of sessions every week, I am feeling better than I have overall in 4 years! The carpal-tunnel-like symptoms that were starting to develop have all but gone away, I can type faster now, and I sleep better at night. There is still a little ways to go, but for the most part, I'd say yes, I am healed! LIKES: * Dr. Kim and her staff are very compassionate and heart-centered * They work with you to figure out what is wrong and get to the ROOT of the problem * They do not prescribe medication, only physical manipulation of the body * Dr. Kim is very sensitive to the energy workings in the body and can find hidden things that traditional doctors don't even know about * The RRT machine releases scar tissue so your body can begin to heal itself * Dr. Kim really listens and will do whatever she can to help your body heal * Prices are reasonable and Oregon Health Plan insurance makes it less than $20 a visit * You can schedule chiro and massage on the same day. Best so far for me has been 1 hr massage with Nick, followed by a 15-20 min session with Dr. Kim SUGGESTIONS FOR IMPROVEMENT: * They need more parking, but somehow I've always been able to find a spot. :) CONCLUSION: Anyone experiencing pain in the body can benefit from a visit to EmPOWERED Health. Dr. Kim and her staff will lovingly and light-heartedly work with you in a down-to-earth way to find the root of what's wrong. You will begin to find healing where before was only pain. I'm glad my friend recommended that I try Empowered Heath for my chronic back pain and insomnia! I have suffered with both of these issues for the past 5 plus years and no doctor has been able to help me without giving me a cocktail of prescription drugs. Being a little nervous about acupuncture I wasn't too excited about it and I was very skeptical. Jessica, my acupuncturist was extremely kind and sensitive to the fact that I was somewhat scared. She really listened to my concerns and took the time to answer all of my questions. I felt like I was in good hands... but still unsure about weather or not it would hurt (or work)! After the session (which was very relaxing!) I couldn't believe how open and comfortable I felt. No back pain and I slept a full 7 hours that night. I wish I would have done this sooner! read more

What I don't like about this place is keep changing employees. It is much better for the patients as well as the place to keep the old, good employees there. This is the best place for chiropractor and massage. Dr. Kim Jameson is a very professional, skillful and super friendly doctor that you guy maybe not be able to find the second one like Dr. Kim. Dr. Kim has treated me and my families with care, thoughtful and very very concern about the patients pain and suffering. I can guarantee you that you guy will love this Doctor when you meet. The place is clean, tidy and organized. The staff are helpful and friendly. On the other hands, the massage therapist; Juliet is a very skillful and professional therapist, also very friendly and thoughtful. I don't just say it, but she is absolutely awesome. I do like her a lot, as well as Mary. The massage room is peaceful, neat and organized. You guy will feel so good and relax, trust me. Dr. Kim and Dr. Cody are amazing! In a one hour visit they fixed my nerve impingement on my right elbow after I had two medical docs tell me it would take many months to heal my "golfer's elbow." I am so thankful to my best friend who referred me to emPOWERed and is also a patient of theirs. I don't know what I would have done if I had to suffer with that pain, not to mention missing work hours and needing help with everyday chores since I am right handed. Went here for some time. Too many appts at once... felt like cattle being pushed through. First she stopped taking my insurance, claiming "I get paid more if I am not one of their preferred providers. Don't worry though, I'll still only charge you the $20 copay. I'll get more from them in the end." This didn't happen, see below. Second, was in a LOT of pain one evening and Dr. Kim was supposed to meet me around 4pm. She NEVER showed. I waited in my car for over an hour! The next time I came in, I was told both a massage and my session were free because of her negligence. Not so much! $450 later... Never went back there. She can adjust anyone, but her business practice and professionalism are very questionable. And if she tries to say I never went there- I'm using an alias. Definitely have the $550 bill to prove it! read more

I was referred to Dr. Kim by a friend, and I am so glad that she sent me to Dr. Kim. The staff is wonderful, and friendly (as a side note there are three Dr.'s working in this clinic). I have had nothing but excellent service. Dr. Kim and her staff have used several techniques to help reduce my pain. One of the wonderful services they offered was a digital scan of my feet and custom made orthotics to help correct my standing posture. I and my back have not felt this good in years. Dr. Kim was very nice, she's funny too, but after several months, my back pain wasn't gone, so I don't feel like I got anything out of it. As other users have said, I felt like cattle being pushed through line. Too many people for just one doctor. Lots of waiting, office staff weren't very friendly, too busy on their phones and the computer to show an interest in the clients. Lots of time waiting for Dr. Kim to get there. I initially went to Dr. Kim for lower back pain. I had heard that she used the ART method. The initial meeting was great, but she didn't use ART after that, it was just a quick 5-minute adjustment and laying on the machine for 15 minutes. That's a lot for how much she charges. I'm still looking for someone who uses ART (Active Release Therapy). If you're looking for a basic, quick adjustment chiropractor, this might fit the bill. Otherwise, keep looking for someone else. I have been coming to Dr. Kim and Dr. Halsey and I am grateful for the care I receive each time. I am not sure if YELP will post my old review , too but I gave this clinic 5 stars before & I am doing it again as they deserve to be recognized for the work they do. As others have said this is the best place to come to if you are in pain. The team is stable and you never have to wait. My insurance has been explained to me in detail and I understand upfront what to expect. Every time I come here, I leave feeling better. The charges are very reasonable for the care you receive. This is not a place where you are in and out - they take alot of time with you and explain why you are hurting & then explain your treatment goals with you. THANK YOU! read more

Went here looking for a new chiropractor after moving. Paid my $20 co-pay and received a bill 2 months later for an extra $130. In all my 20 minutes appointment was $440 after myself and insurance. I've never been to any other chiropractor that charged even half that total in my 15 years of chiropractic care. I called to dispute and Robin said that was the bill and that's how she does it. Poor service, medium quality care, WAY too expensive. read more
