Ms. Newsome was very professional and kind in person, but her compassion didn't extend to after-care. I needed 4 medications, of which she only provided 2. I explained to her during the visit what my circumstances were; what I confided was deeply personal, traumatic, and tragic. She ignored my request for a temporary medication to manage my situation. She also ignored my request for pain medication that I've been on for YEARS, causing me to require ungodly amounts of OTC medications that don't help much. When I contacted her after the appointment, she made excuses and referred me to pain management for medications. Her responses read as terse and unfeeling. I'm extremely disappointed, to say the least. I will not be returning to this clinic, and will be recommeding against it to my friends and family. I will also be filing a formal complaint with the parent hospital. What a shame they didn't do better.

Finally, during a routine exam at my new OBGyn's, someone caught it. I got a phone call the same day as my pelvic exam, from the doctor. She said, "Your iron is dangerously low. Frankly, I don't know how you're standing up." I was scheduled for an emergency iron infusion. This was two weeks ago, and I'm finally starting to feel normal. The latest upset is due to me moving out of state. A prescription I have is ending soon and I don't have a dr apt here for three months. Mind you, it took me a year to find a new dr, so I understand the inability to see me to renew more prescriptions. I was just hopeful she could refill it for a couple more months. She said no, so I asked if I should cut them in half to hold me over and she said she can't offer advice on that. I guess just overall, I've had multiple negative experiences with Dr. Sturcken.
