SOME ADVICE! I bought a Groupon for this salon. Made my appointment but contracted COVID. Did the RIGHT thing and advised them and canceled my appointment. I had no fever so I could have said nothing and gone. This was on January 20th. Today is 20 days later and I had rescheduled. Isolation periods for Covid is 14 days, you are contagious up to maximum of 10 days after symptoms start, assuming no fever for 72 hours. Retests can come up positive for up to 90 days after positive. I am a cancer patient and have been allowed back for treatments within the 10 day period. LET that sink in, I'm not considered a risk around highly compromised older people by people with knowledge. This facility will not allow treatment until negative test can be produced. Needless to say, won't give a refund told to call Groupon. Here is my issue: Aren't you essentially discriminating against me due to contacting covid? You consider yourself more knowledgeable than oncologists and the medical community. I was in your facility for more than 15 minuets already , making your refusal to provide services due to "safety concerns" a mute point! This is meant to get the owner to sit and think about policy. I repect your rights to refuse service, but You have a new concern it seems and need business. You may want to treat your potential clients with more regard and common sense. You can keep the $35 or so I paid. I will not ever be back, but urge you for your sake, NOT to be uninformed or make people feel as small as you did me today, your business will not flourish. read more

The establishment is simple, but well decorated and they offer an extensive array services. They also sell a few different kinds of clothes, makeup, and beauty/wellness supplies. Shay gave amazing customer service and applied the lashes very well, though the look is a little more dramatic than I anticipated. I asked for a natural look from short to medium and subtle to more volume. I never carry cash, so it was also very convenient that I could tip through Cash App. All in all, great service for an affordable price! read more

I have had lashes done before and every time I did I would remove them as soon as I got home. Using Empress Life has changed my view on lashes. The install looks natural. I had an AWFUL experience here. To start with, I was given someone in training to do my lashes. I have had my lashes done multiple times in the past at other locations and in other countries, so I know what to expect. The eyelashes I wanted were a shorter, more natural length, but the owner said she normally does longer ones they put longer ones on me anyway. The appointment took much longer than usual - almost 3 hours. Part of the reason was that she had to redo my eyelashes a few times because some weren't done well. The other part was that she had to pull my eyelids apart because they were essentially superglued together MULTIPLE times - including during the times she was redoing the ones that were done poorly. Needless to say, ripping my eyelids apart multiple times HURT. This has never happened to me in the past anywhere else. By the end, I had been there so long, I just gave up and got out of there because I didn't want to spend any more time there. My eyes were extremely red and uncomfortable for over a day afterwards. All the eyelashes fell out within 2 days on the left eye and within 4 on both eyes. I have had redness in the past, but never this badly and I'm sure part of it was due to the extended amount of time my eyes were exposed to the glue - especially with my eyelids getting glued together multiple times. To top it all off, while the person in training was doing my eyelashes, the owner was on the phone next to her with her husband on speakerphone having a conversation about doing dirty activities later. Normally, I'm not against inappropriate conversations and girl talk and whatever. However, I was also subjected to listening to her husband joke and talk about how Chinese women have slanted vaginas and they are sideways. She finally shushed her husband when I casually mentioned (with my eyes closed as my eyelashes were still being done) that I was Chinese and I could promise him that my vagina was indeed of a normal orientation and not "slanted". read more

My lashes looked nice the first time but after that not so good. Several fell our day by day and they burned like nobody's business until I eventually had to try to yank them out one night when I couldn't take it anymore. Seems almost like they use nail glue or something. I'm not sure but they burned and were very itchy and scratchy. I'm giving two stars strictly because my lash tech was so sweet. My lashes looked fine when they were first done, but they've been consistently falling out since then and it's only been two days. They're clearly using a low quality glue & if I wasn't on my way out of town I would've went back to at least try get them fixed. Would not recommend at all for lashes. read more

I bought a voucher on Groupon. You definitely get what you pay for to say the least. I should have known it was going to be a botched job when i wasn't asked to sign a waiver or given instructions for proper care & the services I was being provided. My experience was nothing in comparison to other vendors that I've visited. The service provided by this business was nothing more than what you're given at the nail salons for $25. 1. The lashes were NOT mink. 2. Rush job! The tech threw my lashes on fast. There is no way she went through the proper process of lash by lash application in 45 minutes. 3. When she finished I had lashes attached to the top of my eyelids... literally on my skin obviously above my lash line. 4. The black clusters of glue were visible and there were groups of lashes stacked on top of the other. 5. Needless to say my natural lashes have been severly damaged and I have less than 50% of my lashes. Although they have a 4.5 out 5 Star review on Groupon I do not recommend this place for "mink lashes" or any type of eyelash services. read more

I am actually very disappointed. While sweet the young girls were super talkative to each other about random and inappropriate things. Made for a not very relaxing experience but no biggie and it went really fast. Same day I saw more than usual eyelash shedding. Everyday more and more so in exactly one week ALL were gone. There is not a -star if not I'd totally give it. Awful job the lady or the person who is in training kept getting glue inside my eyes. They hurt so much and I keep telling her it was burning while she just said it's normally, just gave me a small fan they use to keep blowing on them. I came out with very red eyes and next day I had a red spot on my right eye. I've had lashes done before and never had this type of experience. The owner just hires trainers and apparently they do not know what their doing. Horrible!! My lashes were glued to the the top lid of my eyes not even on the lash. The young lady who did my lashes was all uptight bc her boyfriend didn't block the other appointment times online bc she had somewhere to be I guess. Normally when I get my lashes done it takes 2 hours tops. This took about an hour & it shows bc after one day my lashes started to come out! I feel like being she had somewhere to be she was in a rush & rushed doing my lashes. I was so mad I wanted to go back & let her have it. I went somewhere else right after bc they were unacceptable.
