Best waxing franchise, ever. Period, point blank. Before I moved to Atlanta I tried a 2 or 3 different wax studios, some that are big names, some that were local. They did their job but when I first visited a Sweet Peach studio in Atlanta, I knew I had been missing out on an even better experience. I have visited this Virginia Highlands location once before, but actually thought that I was booking at their Vinings location. Oops! Halfway through my drive I realized that I was going to a totally different place, lol. (The team was so nice, they assured me that if I was at the wrong location, they would have worked it out for me) Parking in this neighborhood can feel a little risky as there are 'no parking' signs all over, it's hard to know what to believe. I called ahead just to confirm if I could park on the street without issue during my afternoon visit and was reassured. Spoiler alert: My car was safe in its original spot with no ticket in sight. The vibes at each Sweet Peach are the same, adorable and covered in peaches! Peach rugs, walls in peachy tones, adorable peachy butts, etc etc. Once you walk into a Sweet Peach, you'll never forget how they look lol. Another fun trait of each Sweet Peach? Sex and The City plays on each tv. LOVE. Definitely easy to get through a waxing/sugaring appointment as you see Carrie embarrassing herself once again for Big's attention. The team at this location (and honestly, every locaton) is SO nice. They were patient, incredibly helpful and just sweethearts. Tammy was my wax tech on my last visit and she did an amazing job. Quick, efficient and we had a nice little chat. They really hire some great employees here - from the front desk to the waxers. Truly my favorite waxing studio! read more

Holy cow what an experience. I'm in town visiting from Ohio and wanted to stop in somewhere for a Brazilian, this place just happened to be down the street from where I'm staying. Reviews looked good so I scheduled. I don't know how it is for all the waxers but Jody was a MACHINE. She was so fast I think I was in and out in less 10 minutes. Jody was kind and helpful and talked through everything. I thought it was interesting this salon provides a hot towel at the end for you to wipe yourself down with. It was a nice extra touch. Believe the hype, they had me in and out so fast (15 minutes total, maybe 10 minutes for the actual sugaring and 5 minutes checking in, getting ready, and leaving/paying) and did a thorough job. Disclaimer: my hair did pull very well. If it's your first time ever, it may take the full 30 minutes. I also felt very comfortable with my esthetician Deb. And I left smelling peachy fresh! Covid adaptations: they are taking covid very seriously. First, they have a waiver that clearly explains that there is a risk of getting covid by getting indoor services. They clearly have marked "clean" vs "used" pens and clipboards. They also have peach scented hand sanitizer available. Once in the room, there's more hand sanitizer and they're even cleaning their coat hangers. There is plexi glass between you and the front desk staff. They are so efficient, but they don't rush you, so unless you come super early or without an appointment, you won't be waiting around. Less time spent also means less time potentially exposed. This place could be a model for indoor service during covid times. The only thing that would improve their precautions (but they can't do due to the space), is opening windows. read more

This was my first visit here but not my first service. I was serviced by Debbie: she was really nice, polite, respectful and honest about her thoughts in reference to my choices (I have VERY sensitive skin ). I received my 1st Brazilian/underarm wax via sugar! I don't EVER have to try that again (way too many pulls!! ouch!! Why do we do this to ourselves!! Let me be clear, Debbie or her techniques had nothing to do with my pain. I have sensitive skin and I'm sensitive overall so it wasn't her. She was great and I e already booked my next appt with her. Anyway, the salon was spotless, they had a nice variety of products (a bit expensive though, $20 for an 8oz scrub, come on now), the waiting are was small but nice and the bathroom was tidy (why they only have one is beyond me and someone had just used it without spraying first YIKES ()!! Theyre are nice people that work there but the other day before my vacation I got one of the worst wax's of my life. I went in with no bumps or ingrown hairs and the blonde women who gave me my wax was practically burning my vagina. The wax was getting in places it should not have. She was doing giant strips at a time which causes in grown hairs. She did not take her time and was very sloppy. I do not remember her name but I was very unsatisfied and still am with the results because when I get a wax elsewhere I never have ingrowns and they take their time. read more

I came in for an eyebrow wax. I've had plenty of waxes over the years and am not using anything out of the ordinary (no acids, no retinols, etc.) Not sure if the tech used wax that was too hot, but it completely ripped a huge strip of skin off my eyebrow the day before a week long beach trip. Sweet Peach Buckhead has such a lovely staff - they're quick to greet you as soon as you come in and are always so accommodating, offering water, restroom, etc. Suellen is amazing! I booked an appointment to for this location online and added all the services I needed. My appointment was for a duration of 2hrs, I arrived 15 mins late to the studio. Once I arrived and tried to check in, I was told they can't service me and have gone ahead and charged me for the service anyway. I requested the front desk associate to accommodate any services they can in the 1hr 45 mins and I was told they can't, and she didn't ask for help either. I requested to see the manager at this point and she asked for help to an aesthetician. Stephanie jumped in quickly and made sure I wasn't charged twice, accommodated all my services. She was super experienced, knowledgeable and saved the day. The studio is clean and bright. I wish they had more experienced staff at the desk so clients don't have to go through inconvenience. Regardless the services are great, it is a little pricey but fair considering the location and rush. I would definitely visit again but new comers need to make sure to read their waivers, T&C and always ask for help when I doubt. There is limited parking in front of the studio but ample down the street or behind the building. read more

Let's be honest, what the staff does is not the least painful of things, but they do it with grace and kindness. Even if it's your first time, don't you worry you aren't being judged. Sweet Peach Wax has multiple locations throughout the city. I've visited the Buckhead and Virginia Highlands locations, but this one is my absolute favorite. The staff here are incredible and friendly, from the front desk associate to the estheticians. The first time I tried this location, I booked a sugaring with Jenni, who unfortunately no longer works here, but I had a wonderful experience with her. I'm no stranger to waxing or sugaring, but it had been a while since my last hair removal and Jenny recommended I do the hard wax opposed to the sugaring for additional comfort and pain relief. She was professional, quick, efficient, and engaging. I was sad to hear Jenni no longer worked there when I called to rebook with her. When you find a great esthetician you want to keep them forever. I was recommended to try a new person at the Buckhead location, but I did not have the best experience. There was miscommunication with the booking of services so I ended up paying more after the fact and to make matters worse, I experienced way too many hair bumps/redness/discomfort after the wax which is highly unusual for me. However, it was that time again for another wax so I sifted through Yelp reviews and kept reading positive reviews about Angela. I booked with her and wow. Can't speak to the service because I showed up 5 min late for my appt (because there was filming that diverted traffic and then I had to pay for parking) and the woman at the front gave me the robot, won't look you in the eye "we have a 5 min grace period (clock ticked to 6 min while I was standing there) so you've lost your appointment." So let me start off by saying I let the owner know of my experience and she replied one time offering some type of resolution and I never heard back ever since.. I wasn't going to leave this review but ya leave me no choice. I've had Brazilian waxes before so what comes with it is not new to me but THIS... is not what it's meant to be. I left with these horrible bruises on my legs which all could have been prevented if the lady wasn't so inconsiderably rough with me. I felt like she was rushing and couldn't wait to get me outta there. First, she laid the wax on me and it was so hot I told her it was burning me. Now I'm a lady who likes taking hot showers with the knob turned all the way to H. No exaggeration. I like heat but that wax was way too hot. When I told her all she said was, "well this is the same temperature I use on everybody else." Idgaf if it's the same temperature you use on Beyoncé, cool that mf down. Anyways so she continued.. I just took it like a G. The way she put the wax on was super messy with no technique or strategy whatsoever. She was just globbing it on there and ripping away. MOST PAINFUL WAX EVER. I couldn't help but jump everytime she ripped my hairs off.. literally ripping the black offa my ass. Just blatantly robbing me of my melanin. So comes the leg part.. she was using that mesh cloth (whatever it is) and she repeatedly hit the same spot over and over and over for like one strand of hair which is why the bruises came along. She was like "oh your skin is so sensitive hehe" *RIP RIP RIP* So after all this, I left feedback to the owner and she said she'd refund me and never did. I have been getting waxed since 2015 from various salons in numerous states but I can say with absolute certainty that I had THEE worst wax of my life yesterday afternoon at Sweet Peach Highland. My wax was outright excruciating.  My tech was extremely rough and seemed to be in a rush (she completed a full body + happy trail in less than 30 minutes). She did not let the hard wax completely harden before removing from my skin. She did not inform me that she was pull wax so that I breathe as pain management and no pressure was immediately applied to the area after removal of the wax. If this was my first time getting a wax I would never get one again and I definitely wouldn't return to Sweet Peach. I understand it is a busy weekend for the salon since it was before the July 4th weekend and you all want to service as many clients as possible but my experience was horrid and unacceptable. read more

After a horribly frustrating experience at one of Atlanta's very popular waxing places, someone on my Twitter reconvened this place to me so I decided to give them a go! After reading few reviews, I called and made an appointment for a Brazilian. I am so so happy I came here and so so pleased with my results and my service. When I came in, I was greeted right away. I was a first time client, so they gave me an iPad to sign a quick little waiver/questionnaire and checked my ID. Right after that, I was taken back. Hope was AMAZING. Initially, I'd booked for sugaring (Bc I heard it hurts less) and she was very honest with me about it not being this best option for the time and with amount of growth that I had. She said it wouldn't yield clean results and that it'd be better to try it after getting a wax. I really appreciate this because I know some people will just give you what you think you want take your money, regardless of enter it makes sense or not. She was very thorough in explaining to me about the hair growth cycle and how waxing damages the follicle and eventually slows growth, etc. She also recommended that I return in 3 weeks instead of the usual 4. The salon is very cute and clean. They have complimentary waters and sodas and an assortment of body products for sale. In the waxing room they had my favorite show ever playing - Sex and the City! This was a small touch that helped me relax bc it gave me something to focus on other than the usual ceiling. Given the delicate nature of the area getting waxed- pain is inevitable. But this was honestly the MOST pleasant feeling wax of my life in terms of pain level. And QUICK. Hope wasted no time. She been doing this a long time and it shows. From check-in to check-out, I think I spent maybe 25 minutes there total! After we were done, I was given a cute little sample of a sugar scrub and instructions on how/when to use it. I went to this place to get a Brazilian sugaring job. They're very professional, friendly, and clean. The lady that took care of me was professional, friendly, and did a great job. I've had sugaring jobs before where I got ingrowns for weeks after. She made sure that I was happy with the job that she did before I left. She was thorough, and need sure that I wasn't in too much pain. A Brazilian sugar job cost $50. There are a couple other salons within the vicinity that was offering a $35 first time special. I wish I had known, or I wish they had offered a first time client special as well. I think I'll come back here since everyone is friendly. They even gave me a sample of their sugar scrub to make sure that I don't get ingrowns. This place is easy to find, as it's on a busy street. If you get here before opening, they probably won't open the doorso you'd have to wait outside. I walked down to the coffee shop that was two blocks away, so it wasn't a problem. read more
