The tech who came to do the quote was supposed to be at my house between two and four. The company texted me at 3:30 to tell me he was running late; by the time he got to my house it was 4 PM. He was a very pleasant young man. Definitely respectful of the property, but in having him give me a quote, the methods at which they said they were gonna get power was just weird. They wanted to go through my fire extinguisher in my hallway instead of using the electrical receptacles that were already in my walk-in closet. It was quite odd to be honest. And then on top of that, the quote they gave me with asinine. Over $800 to put in one receptacle? This wasn't a complicated case. When he saw me balking at the price, he said well, we also do heating and cooling so if you want to sign up for $299 a year, we can give you 15% off the receptacle. I almost laughed. How ridiculous was that - trying to upsell me even more? Not only that, but according to this boy, they would probably have to cut through my drywall and have a patch job. I didn't realize it was a full company; otherwise, I would have not even contacted them. They were great at following up for the business, but not at the price at which they were quoting me. I found a contracted, licensed electrician who did it for me quickly and for less than half of what they were quoting me, and did impeccable work.

They cleaned up the bits of drywall that fell afterwards. One of the joists was not close enough for the metal bracket that came with the fan to be attached. So they attached other wood to the closest joist and attached the fan. One installer climbed into the attic space to finish the electric connections. No time wasted. Very efficient team.
