From the initial meeting to the final installation of my solar system, everyone and everything has gone incredibly simple and easy. The salesman, Joe Murin explained everything. The office coordinator was a pleasure to work with. The installation crew showed as scheduled and installed the entire system in 4 hours. They were professional, answered all of my questions and cleaned up everything. I would highly rate this company if you are looking for a quality solar installation. read more

Well, I scheduled an appointment with EMT Solar to review the possibility of adding extra panels to my roof, so far so good. On the day of the visit 30 minutes prior I got a call from their technician who stated he got a report and that my neighbours trees partially block the roof. At the end he refused to come. Here we go. So let me start from the beginning. I was approved on July 5, 2024 to get my roof and solar installed. I provided all my documents and they did not call or send me anything until November. I almost forgot about it, very bad customer service and very bad communication. read more

EMT Solar hired out Surf and Turf Roofing to come out and replace our roof on November 10th, 2025 as we prepared for EMT to install our solar that weekend. They were at our house for 25 minutes before they decided it would be a great idea to place a WHOLE PALLET of shingles on our roof in one spot via a crane, thus collapsing our roof and bowing out our walls. They then took those shingles off the pallet and chucked them all over the roof to distribute the weight, thus creating stress cracks in our dry wall & ceilings from one end of the house to the other. We have now been out of our house since November 10th while we wait for it to be repaired. Our project manager from EMT relentlessly SWORE up and down this is "common practice" to place a whole pallet of shingles (between 2500 and 3500 lbs) in one spot on the roof. Ask around, that is NOT common practice and not advised. It's a wonder how they even have a 3.5 rating. Do your due diligence and research all of these companies before you let them do anything to your house. If you hire solar, be sure to vet the companies they hire to come out to replace your roof or anything else they promise. read more

EMT should not be licensed to operate. My nightmare began May 2023 and continues to this day. The roof has lifting shingles, soft spots, arching, and curling edges. They snapped the sheathing, the flashing was not properly applied, they left and/or made unnecessary holes and openings in the exterior of my home. EMT has caused problems with my electricity, my basement floods, I currently have 3 interior leaks, mold and mildew everywhere, ice and snow in my attic. They left my gutters hanging off and trash and debris around and in my home. For nearly 3 years I've submitted correspondence via email and text, numerous photos and videos in addition to repeated requested for the removal of the solar panels. EMT has sent representatives to my home to inspect, evaluate and photograph the damages. However, anyone who has been here or that I've dealt with either "no longer works there or didn't document my file." With that, I am totally fed up, disgusted and fearful of a total roof collapse, especially with this ice and heavy snow. read more

Today I've had to edit my review and say this is the day after installation. I thought by doing my due diligence and researching options and companies, I chose the right company and this is after quite a few consults from other companies but boy was I WRONG. I have never dealt with such a large company that DOES NOT have any contingency in place for any "unforeseen circumstances" or MISTAKES ON THEIR PART. Yesterday the installers came and everything was going fine but I had to leave for work and came back a few hours later to check to see if everything was okay. They had to use a ditch wizard to run a line from the detached garage to the house but when I tell you, they cut every wire and hose they could possibly find in the yard. I thought they would have had that marked out prior to digging a 2 foot deep ditch 100 plus feet across my property. And the parts where the EMT installers broke, they conveniently put dirt back over those areas but the other areas are open to see for inspection. So I cannot confirm if what was broken is rectified or not. NOT TO MENTION, they did not tell me that after this ditch was dug up that it would stay this way till an inspection is done. I have 2 young children and a dog and this is a huge liability. If that was the case, I would have preferred install on a Monday and would have wanted inspection done the same week. I've received no logistical communication otherwise. I understand there is a lot of variables at play here which is MORE OF A REASON for there to have transparent communication for ease of scheduling all vendors involved which directly affects me, the customer! NOW ON TO THE KICKER, I was left with NO AIR CONDITIONING last night. They went to upgrade my Fuse Panel and it took about 8 hours to restore power back to the house but wonderful enough, on a incredible humid and hot day, the air handler/condenser will not get power. The installer stayed till 9PM to fix it which I appreciate but EMT SOLAR did not send out any supervisor or higher qualified employee to rectify it. All I received was a whole bunch of maybe's and we'll see. I will be posting pictures and videos and will continue to do so on every platform till my problem is rectified and EMT SOLAR does right by me! It is 9:28AM on July 12th, 2025 and I have yet to have air conditioning, the morning after "install". The rep that I dealt with was solid all the way to this point but I did not receive any communication on how this trench in the back will be fixed and what contingencies EMT solar has to rectify this situation. A company that is this big and takes on this level of upgrades to residential properties should have contingencies in place when things go awry ie: company credit card to put customers in AIR CONDITIONED HOTELS DURING THE SUMMER. I have 2 children, 2 pets, an elderly mother, my spouse and myself and for us to have to find some level of accommodation at 10pm at night on a Friday is quite difficult. My dog hasn't stopped panting from the heat and he is 220 pounds, not easy to take him other places to cool off. I have no real resolution and no real idea what's going on. I will amend my review once this is rectified by EMT SOLAR. Until then, I will keep writing reviews. read more

Very happy with EMT Solar & Roofing, I was very nervous about getting solar panels installed, but couldn't believe the money I saved. The reason for this review was the excellence of the service I requested and the quality I received as a customer of EMT, I definitely recommend EMT as a quality company that stands by the solar energy they offer and the services required. I used EMT to get solar panels, initially they were very responsive, the process was easy, they applied for the permits and were the point of contact for all of that. Prior to the panels being added to my roof, I requested that they add a car charging station to the job. They agreed, provided a price, we agreed, and I signed a new contract. I was advised that it would be a separate job that would be completed after the panels were on. That is when the problem started. After the panels were installed, I contacted them several times to get a date for the charger installation. It took several months to get a date, then the week before they were supposed to install it, I received a call that the job was more involved and costly than they quoted me, so they were not going to honor the contract and install the charger. Very disappointing that they wouldn't honor their commitment. read more

Guys were very professional and end price was as quoted. Results are great and they gave us peace of mind since our roof no longer leaks! Smooth transaction and very accommodating. It simply doesn't get any better than EMT. We had major roof damage after a nasty storm and when insurance finally agreed to pay we got several estimates. EMT was among the lowest and since the owner lives nearby I figured I'd give them the shot. Boy were my wife and I SHOCKED at the results. Ed and his team were exceptional at every single step. They did the entire job of repairing and replacing our three-roof house, fixing the fascia damage and replacing our gutters. Every facet of the job was done with a clear eye towards doing it right, even down to the final clean-up of the property. No part of the job was a surprise. Every step was clearly explained and carried out. My biggest regret is that this is (hopefully) the last time I'll need to worry about getting the roof done. I had EMT replace my roof and facia capping. From start to finish the customer service I received from EMT was phenomenal. Frank initially handled my inquiry in regard to finances and product selection. He was extremely thorough and patient; I was very indecisive in what I wanted and never felt pressured or rushed to make a decision. Moving forward the team was top notch and their professionalism really stood out. I was given a date and time the crew would be there to start the job. Sure enough the work crew arrived early, beginning the project at the stated time, not just pulling into the driveway. The crew executed the job with perfection and cleaned up well. They went the extra step to replace some things that were not part of the work order, showing their genuine care for their customer and attention to detail. Ed maintained great communication with me throughout the job and answered all my questions and concerns before, during, and after the project. This company is by far one of the Best out there right now, it was an absolute pleasure doing business with them. In the times we live in I was very impressed with their professionalism and honesty.
