It is so nice that this salon is open on Sundays! May not seem like a big deal, but after a busy weekend it was awesome to look good for Monday. With that being said I went here for the first time this past Sunday. The woman that did my hair was very nice and did a great job on the color. It's vibrant but natural looking. It was 75$ for my root touch up/crown highlights, which included wash, cut if desired, and style. Not bad. My sister got her hair trimmed for 20$, which is a little high to me for a haircut. If only I can put into words how much disappointment this salon gave me I would be able to express my grief, but will not be able to get back the 1/3 of hair loss I have received from getting just one dye at this salon. I went into this salon a few days before my appointment for a consultation, Maria checked my hair and assured me she can do exactly what I wanted without so much damage being done. Of course I was delighted and made my appointment right after. My appointment day comes and I show her the picture again to remind her and she starts working right away, mind you that she was charging me $165. I asked her if she could do a deep conditioning just in case since I was dying my hair blonde but replied that she would "have to" charge me another $35, I declined it since I did not want to pay over $200 on hair. After she was finished putting the color in, she moved me over to heat my hair when another one of her clients walked in. This was very unfortunate for me since I had three different people working on my hair while she was doing another clients hair. This was very unprofessional of her for rushing my hair, not taking in the consideration that my hair is super fragile since it is in the process of bleaching, and completely stopping working on my hair to get another client. Without her realizing, one of her friends that cuts men hair put my hair under the heat without detangling it leaving them to wash my hair AGAIN so they could get the tangles out since it was that bad. They kept pulling on my hair brushing it as if it was nothing. Do they not understand you CAN NOT brush wet hair especially when it contains bleach? While this was happening she was still working with the other client even though she was aware how long my hair would take since I came on my own time for a consultation, this was a selfish act of her to try to shove in so many clients at once where she couldn't even care for the other. It has been four hours and my hair was finally re washed and they were combing it out, yes "they". As I glance to the brush I see my hair falling out, I wanted to cry. She insisted on giving me a free trim and I declined it knowingly that she did it for her own remorse due to her being aware of the damage she has done. She then asked me if I wanted to curl or straighten, I chose curled since I didn't know how BAD my breakage was since she had me turned the other way from the mirror where I couldn't see my own hair. I then leave, look at my hair and cry. It was extremely dead, thinned out, and looked as if I got layers from how bad the breakage appeared. She also missed a whole strand of hair in the front where it is straight dark surrounded by blonde. My natural hair is long and luscious that has always had a shine to it, now that's completely gone. This has been the worst experience of my life. I went here to enjoy my me time by pampering myself but instead got a lady moving me back and forth, letting her co-workers re do the mess ups that she had left unfinished and left me with almost no hair. I will NOT be going back for service but I will be going back to show her all the damage she has done so this does not happen to her other clients. If you don't know how to do hair properly then don't, it's that simple, common sense learn to accept your failures and get a new career. So unless you love paying for hair loss, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I will be following up with pictures. read more

I didn't know a place like this existed until a friend of mine recommended her hair dresser, Maria who is fantastic. It's a bummer about wearing the face masks during the styling process but it's required by the salons. The stylists are attentive. This location offers mani pedi services by appointment, too! Other than the layers of dust on the shelves and under the furniture, it's a typical yet stylish salon. The products smell so good! I highly recommend the deep conditioning. Price is fair for salon style as well. I feel much more cared for here than I would at say a Great Clips or Super Cuts. So thankful to have found a salon I can come back to! read more

It's sad that I'm writing this review especially since I've been coming to this salon for a few years. Not regularly, but definitely a few times a year to see Susie. Susie is good at what she does and books very quickly as she only works weekends. Knowing that, I scheduled an appointment with her 3 weeks ahead of time for today which is the Saturday before Easter. My appointment was scheduled for 2:30 p.m And I showed on time. It was a normal Saturday in the salon, they were pretty busy. When I arrived, Susie had someone in her chair and a few minutes after arriving told me that she was running really behind and said that she needed an extra 30 or so minutes. So I left to go get a wax down the street which took me about 45 minutes and came back and she was still working with the same customer. I sat there for a few minutes and saw that she wasn't finished yet so told her I would leave to go to the bank and come back. That was another 15 to 20 minutes. She was still working on this person's hair and by the time she called me to her chair it was 4:15 p.m. Which was almost 2 hours after my scheduled appointment. I asked her what time the salon closed and she said 6 o'clock. So I asked her if the job was going to be rushed because I didn't want to even start if it was going to be rushed because I already had small issues with how my hair was done quickly and not to my satisfaction last time which I planned on addressing with her when I sat down. I know she is a good hairstylist but the last time I was in the salon the job was also very rushed as well and I wasn't 100% satisfied with it. She told me it would be rushed and her last customer made changes causing time to go over but my issue is that there was no apology or offer of anything to compensate for me sitting there almost 2 hours past my appointment time. She asked if I wanted to have another stylist work on my hair at that point because she wasn't even done with the same customer. This customer was just under the dryer so she was going to try to work on my hair in between. It kind of defeats the purpose of scheduling an appointment and to be treated so unprofessionally and to waste a couple hours of your Saturday off also on a holiday weekend is just ridiculous. The owner Norma was there the entire time and I'm pretty sure she knew my appointment and did nothing to address the issue. So my review is being based off of the and professionalism of how today's visit was handled and it's really sad that they couldn't get it together enough to ask me to re schedule or apologize for the delay and just wanted to rush me through a 2 to 3 hour hair job without any sincere apology. Getting my hair done is a luxury for me. So needless to say I will not be going back to En Vogue and will not recommend it to anyone, and will take my hard earned money elsewhere. To an actual salon that treats their customers respectfully and respect their time when they have the courtesy to schedule appointments in advance. read more

Not only did they take my Embarrassingly fried orange hair and turn it into something from a Disney movie these women have become my therapist my friend everything you're looking for and more in a Cosmetologist. I was extremely satisfied with the service that I received at this Salon. A very sweet lady named Maria took my overgrown highlights and transformed my hair into the exact shade that I desired of all over platinum blonde! I Horrible HORRIBLE SERVICE and DYE JOB! Looks nothing like I wanted and a huge waste of money!!! used to come to here when I was in college and decided even tho that I don't live in the area that I would come back since I had a good experience years ago. Completely different story this time. I paid $140 for highlights and a trim and my hair is completely ruined. Not only dude they have to do the highlights twice (which only made it worse) the stylist was juggling other Costner's and handed me off to other girls to attempt to blow dry my hair which was a disaster and in the middle of the blow out I saw my reflection and told them I hated it and to stop them the stylist came back to assure me she could fix it but it only made it look worse. Then she cut my hair when it was dry and it's completely uneven! They all kept telling me how good I look but I was just trying to hold back tears because I look like an F*+#ing skunk. I still haven't stopped crying my hair looks absolutely horrible but I couldn't stand staying there one more second to be passed from person to person to have my head an hair tortured. When I got home I tired to brush it out (which they didn't even do even before cutting it ) and it was even worse at home. I can't put my hair up because it's so uneven land the dye looks like it was done weeks ago and the hair has grown out PLUS I have a straight up line across the front of my hair which look absolutely ridiculous. She did a good job on my cut and did exactly what I wanted but I could tell she was in a rush because it was close to closing time on a Saturday. I have mixed reviews about this place... their prices are good compared to other salons in the area. First time I went, I got great service and the girl did exactly what I had asked and I left happy. The second time, I went to get some layers cut into my hair. It looked ok when I left b/c it was left curly, but a couple days layer when i flatironed my hair, i saw that i had a bunch of jagged, mismatched layers that looked like they were done with a pair of childs scissors. A stylist should know how to cut curly hair properly, i've had it done right many times. Had extensions done by Leti, and they are great.. best i've ever had done, you really cant tell at all that they aren't real, and her prices were very affordable. then, i decided to get my eyebrows waxed and tinted there. first she did my eyebrows in dark brown, and it looked wierd, so she had to redo them in black. she left then 20 minutes later (its supposed to take like 5) she came back to take it off, and then i had to spend the next 40 minutes having the excess tint scrubbed off my skin. I left looking like groucho marx, and the next day i had scabs all around where i had been scrubbed. i had to go to walmart and get tweezers and fix them myself. in conclusion, unless you see Leti, beware of the results you get here. read more

I got my hair done about a month ago and I wasn't going to say anything but I'm so upset when I have to deal with my hair every day. I went in with a picture and asked if I could get curls like in the picture. I was very clear that I didn't want a perm or tight curls. The hairstylist said because I have highlights in my hair, (8 months ago) my hair would probably not take the bigger rollers and she needed to use smaller rollers. Again I told her I don't want tight curls. My daughter was with me and heard everything I told the hairstylist. When she revealed my finished hair it was a Tight ugly perm. I was so upset and even started to cry and said, I told you I didn't want a tight perm. The hairstylist replied, "I thought the picture was for the hair color." I said I wasn't getting my hair color done. I asked about hair color as a after thought and asked if they could be done close together. Knowing I hated it and was really upset she still charged full price and now after I could wash my hair I found that she burned my hair. The only thing she offered was a text later for 3 deep conditioning. She told me it would only take about 20mins. I ended up sitting under the dryer for 45 mins after already waiting 30 mins for her to take me back to do it in the first place, (with an appointment.) It was so apparent she was squeezing me in. Our family has been going to Envogue since 1993, I had my hair done for my wedding 24 years ago. We will never go back!!! read more

I am a forty year old women.. the first time I went in I got a great cut and dye .. it was beautiful..... almost jennifer anniston-ish in color ... the next time I got my hair dyed with dark purple highlights to match a suede outfit I was planning on wearing and that was amazing.. but one time I came out with a beehive do that my mom used to wear in the sixties! I came here for many years, once I found Marissa, even though it's not near my house. But Marissa just moved across town to Ziba Salon. I USED to like it here until their service started getting sloppy. I had no problems with scheduling an appointment & the gals their were friendly. It was not until recently my scheduling to get color on my hair got really f*cked up. They messed up on my appointment TWICE. C'mon now i dont think its so hard to schedule an appointment. That REALLY ticked me off. Not only that i remember one time i came in for just a walk in (an hour to closing) & i sat there for close to 15 mins & no one helped me! Some of the girls that worked there were just sitting there txting on their damn phones acting like they didn't see me there. Really unprofessional & super rude. Not to mention they're overpriced & the job they do is SO-SO nothing AMAZING. I guess that's how they treat their customers, dont care about customer service, thats the #1 rule to great service! Growing up with my rock star hair stylist of a mom, I never had to pay for a hair cut. When I moved to California, it took me about a year to find someone that was able to cut my hair correctly. That person was Amber, at En Vogue. I have been going to Amber for a couple of years now. She is an artist and is great conversation. She did my 9 year old step-daughter's new do, yesterday. She couldn't have done a better job and I have never seen my step-daughter more ecstatic about the outcome of a new haircut. read more

Now I'm back with Trini and she's REALLY good:) Love the color and she also did a Keritan smooth treatment which turned out awesom.
