Encanto somehow just keeps getting better. The views alone are worth the drive, but they've really built up the patio area and it is gorgeous now. There's so much seating, so it feels open and relaxed even when it's busy. It's one of those places where you immediately want to grab your phone and take a few photos. The food is still just as delicious as I remember, and the service is unmatched. Everyone is attentive without hovering and you feel really taken care of. I recently visited Encanto in Ensenada and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. When the bill arrived, I noticed that one of my dishes was priced incorrectly. I politely pointed it out to our server, Daniel, expecting it to be corrected. Instead, he casually dismissed it and said, "It's only 100 pesos more," which I found unprofessional and disrespectful. It's not about the amount it's about accuracy and customer service. Because of this interaction, I decided to remove the $20 tip I had initially left. When I did, he took the receipt to his manager and claimed that I hadn't tipped at all. I explained the situation, but he responded with a smirk, which felt mocking and made the situation even more uncomfortable. Additionally, the service overall was slow. We asked for water multiple times before ordering, during the meal, and even after finishing and it still took a long time for it to arrive. Unfortunately, this experience left a very negative impression, despite the setting. I hope management takes this kind of behavior seriously and works on improving both service quality and professionalism. read more

This restaurant also has amazing ocean views and is perfect for a romantic date night... They have tables on balconies overlooking the ocean, which I thought was really cute and adds to the overall ambiance... We only ordered drinks and sat at the bar since we mostly wanted to vibe, explore, and see what the place was about... Just a heads-up: the bar was cash only, and I'm pretty sure the entire restaurant doesn't take credit cards, so come prepared... The place was decorated for Christmas when we visited, and we walked around a bit to explore, it was really cute and nicely done... The bartender was friendly and welcoming, and our drinks came out quickly. It wasn't busy at all, but we did go on a Sunday morning, so we were seated and served pretty fast... I ordered a gin and tonic with cucumber, and it was good... Pricing was reasonable for the location and views. However, the food was absolutely horrible and extremely overpriced. we ordered salmon and it came RAW, yes very raw. we also decided to order a molcajete which included steak, octopus, lobster, shrimp. But in reality, it was just a small amount of fajitas just put in a tiny molcajete and only filled up 3 tortillas. Mind you, this is advertised to feed TWO PEOPLE. Here's a sample of what we ordered with ratings of five being the highest. Seafood and steak mocajete: 5 full of meat, lobster, octopus, shrimp and yumminess! The sauces are deep and are thoroughly mixed in with all the meats. We didn't even need tortillas or to add anything to it. Diabla seafood mocajete 4. The comparison to the seafood and steak one, the sauce on this one seems to be lacking, besides the sauce, everything else was amazing with great flavor and texture. Lobster, steak and shrimp: 4.5 The lobster was a little undercooked but the flavor was just the bomb! The garlic shrimp was extremely on point and tender. The arrachera was favored just right but a lil dry this time. Clam chowder 4 The flavoring of the clam chowder was so good. There should probably be more clams and less bread. I saw this place online, and it looked so pretty I had to go check it out. I would like to point out the restaurant does offer limited parking, I believe it's free since literally had a line to go in as it is limited and you have to wait until somebody leaves to be able to go in. It is also a compact parking space. However , for $200 pesos = $10 USd, you can park very quickly right across from it. Right next to it, sharing the parking is another restaurant as well. Which does make it crowded. The view is beautiful as per the pictures. I seems they are in the process of adding more stuff as well as there was some construction going on. This place is all about appearance great view, but that's what you're paying for. We were sat at 7:45 PM we waited 45 minutes before I flagged someone down so we could order our meal. The food was served at 8:45 and they close at 9 PM. The food was served cold and bland ordered lobsters and ribeyes. The waiter took our check and I told him that I would tip Cash, but apparently he already charged the tip on my card and still asked for cash tip. We were there for Muertos and it was busy probably like any other weekend with maybe an extra 50 people or so. Everything was open all the restaurants shopping. Plenty of parking. It's always a fun experience. It was easy to get into Encanto and sit in the beautiful bar area. We had a small table with three chairs on a tiny round patio overlooking the ocean. The drinks are very expensive here. Cocktail is about $15. They do however provide chips and salsa at no charge. Service was good even though they were very busy. With so many wonderful places to eat in Rosarito I may not visit again anytime soon. But you should try it out. I'm reading it low because of the high prices. read more
