This is the best spot for lobster with a view and affordable! This is my go to spot when I go to Puerto Nuevo it has the cutest atmosphere and view of the ocean. The service is great and fast! All of the drinks are delicious. I have been here several times and plan to have more visits!
If ultra-fresh seafood is what you're after, Mariscos Puerto Nuevo absolutely delivers. The seafood here couldn't be any fresher--even if I had caught it myself. Every bite tasted clean, sweet, and perfectly prepared. The service was just as impressive. Our server, Jaime, was incredibly friendly, professional, and helpful, guiding us through the menu and making sure everything was spot on. A pro tip: sit upstairs if you can--the sweeping Pacific Ocean views make the experience even more memorable. We ordered the large lobster platter and the garlic octopus and shrimp platter, and both were outstanding. Portions are generous, making this a great place to come hungry. On top of that, they bring out complimentary ceviche, picante, and salsa fresca, which were fresh, vibrant, and the perfect way to kick things off. Between the quality of the seafood, the warm service, and the unbeatable ocean views, this spot is a must when you're in the area. I'll absolutely be back the next time I'm anywhere near Puerto Nuevo.
El lugar es bueno, bonito y barato. Los meseros son muy amables y simpáticos, siempre atentos y con una sonrisa. La comida está deliciosa, con tortillas recién hechas y porciones generosas. Todo tiene un sabor casero y auténtico. El ambiente es tranquilo y familiar, ideal para disfrutar con amigos o en pareja. Llevé mi familia y les encantó. La vista es muy hermosa, especialmente al atardecer, y hace que la experiencia sea aún mejor. Lo único que podría mejorar es tener una salsa un poco más picante, pero en general todo estuvo excelente. Definitivamente volveré. The place is good, nice, and affordable. The waiters are very kind and friendly, always attentive and smiling. The food is delicious, with freshly made tortillas and generous portions. Everything tastes homemade and authentic. There was four of us in our group. Three of us ordered the lobster, shrimp, fish combo. The other ordered the steak and shrimp combo. The lobster was delightful. The shrimp was perfect. The fish and steak weren't the greatest but still better than what you'd expect. The atmosphere is calm and family-friendly, perfect for enjoying with friends or as a couple. I brought my family, and they loved it. The view is very beautiful, especially at sunset, which makes the experience even better. The only thing that could be improved is having a slightly spicier salsa, but overall, everything was excellent. I'll definitely be back.
I'm late at submitting this but I cannot wait to go back to Baja, particularly to Puerto Nuevo and have some amazing lobster again. The outdoor / upstairs patio is a beautiful vista of the Pacific Ocean and Pueblo of Puerto Nuevo. Everyone is so friendly and treated us like family. I think even if mom was not a regular they would have served us with the same amazing customer service. Really everyone was super nice from the guy who watches the parking to the severs. Well done! My mom is a regular there and now I hope to be each time we go visit mom's beach house. We had ceviche, drinks and of course the lobster dinner which is a great deal for all you get! The ceviche was perfect and fresh. The margaritas are delicious and you have to order the lobster dinner which comes with rice and beans and a salad. We even got some conzume de pescado and it was a nice dip for the tortillas Hope to see you guys again soon! Thank you!
If possible, ask to sit upstairs to enjoy the view. We ordered our lobsters steamed (not fried) and brought our own butter (they will melt it for you). Our dinner came with rice, beans and homemade tortillas (so delicious!). The servers were very nice and our food came out quickly.
Such an amazing lunch we're coming back Lobsters were tasty Baja style with lots of flavor warm tortillas and plenty of sides and a nice salad and a side of garlic shrimp with 2 drinks all for $70 usd great views with a band across the way performing great music. Come here for a great Puerto Nuevo experience. Don't let the crazy guys parking deter you if you're lucky there's a guy who will give you the spot in front tip him out!
We had many places to pick from but we've eaten at this sister's restaurant, Las Brisas, which was good so this place had a 2nd floor and view and thus chose it. No blanket needed as the 2nd floor is glass enclosed and the sun was shining in. Did I mention they have valet parking for their customers right in front of the restaurant? Javier was the man who took care of business and gave us very attentive service as our waiter. Very clean restaurant. We ordered 4 medium lobster specials and Javier gave us an extra half. I ordered a whole lobster with about 6 nice shrimp and salad. Each lobster special ($21) came with a margarita which was very good. We had several songs by a mariach trio to make our meal more enjoyable. We actually had 2 halves to take home and Javier threw in more tortillas, beans and rice. Very good choice for lunch today.
It was super nice that they had parking for me right in front. I was alone, so I didn't walk to park far and walk all over the place. I literally chose this place because of the parking availability. I sat upstairs with a view of the ocean...so nice! The service was quick (maybe too quick!), and I think I would have stayed longer but I felt a bit rushed. Like as soon as as I was done, the check came and she kept cleaning around me. I guess that could be good, but it made me feel like I had to go and I would have enjoyed sitting with the view for a little while longer. I had the small lobster special. $25 and it was fabulous. Two big halves, rice, beans, freshly made tortillas, chips and salsa, and before the meal they brought a nice flavorful ceviche. It was a great lunch! I had a strawberry margarita...meh. Not my favorite tasting, but it was pretty. I would go back, but I think I would ask to stay longer.
Came to ensenada on a cruise instead of heading to buffadora we opted to head to puerto nuevo to this beautiful restaurant and we where delighted highly recommend the food was delicious.our waiter Jaime went above and beyond with his service not exaggerating the food prices are just delicious good for a great price I highly recommend i know me and my family will be back soon.
We are frequent visitors of Mariscos Puerto Nuevo for over 20 years. We love this place. Primo Carlos the parking attendant is the best. It was fate meeting him many years ago. We have had a great friendship with him. The resturaunt itself never disappoints. We have tried many dishes here and each one made with love and absolutely delectable. We have made many memories here and Celebrated many Anniversaries, Birthdays, Holidays and getaways here. The place is so nice. They have two levels and a balcony on the second floor. We started coming here when it was one level and then they remodeled and made another story with a balcony and the wall to wall doors that open are the best on second floor. The Family owned restaurant serves great tasty dishes satisfying with every bite. So many flavors and everything is pure fire. They are our first choice always at Puerto Nuevo! Friendly staff, attentive servers and time to time musicians come to play for a fee. The food is served in large portions and the home made tortillas hit the spot. The complimentary fish ceviche is so yummy. Always on point. The lobster is cooked to perfection Puerto Nuevo Style. They have 3 sizes to choose from. With bottomless rice, beans and tortillas. A must try and closes at 9pm everyday. Located on the second to last street on the left almost to the end on the right. Ask for Carlos and he will get you a the best parking spot. See the many pics from our trips. Highly recommend! You will be blown away with good food and service. Pure delight with every bite.
The food: When we come to visit our family who live close to Puerto Nuevo we have to come and have some delicious lobster, rice, beans and freshly made flour tortillas, YES!! The tortillas are freshly made to order!!! By the way the drinks were amazing!! I had the Cantarito and my mom in law had the Mango Margarita! Staff: They're super friendly and very attentive. They're always checking to see if you need anything. The restaurant: It's looks very nice and there's also tables in the back balcony. You get the beautiful view of the pacific ocean! There are also musical bands playing live music to the customers! You can hire them on the spot!! You have good food, good views, live music and family!! What more can you ask for!!
Puerto Nuevo is a popular and one of the most visited city for Seafood lovers. The town can be overwhelming wondering what restaurant to choose. Since the minute we walked in we felt welcomed. The restaurant was very clean and smelt wonderful. This restaurant has a verity of excellent seafood dishes to choose from. There are other options as well for non seafood lovers.!!! Staff is wonderful. While you wait you are given a complementary fish stew one of the best I have had in Mexico. Our dishes were delicious and full of flavor most of all large portions !!!! Excellent!!! Very pleased with the whole experience. Outdoor sitting is also available. Classic Margarita cocktail was tasteful.

Came for Nana's birthday, left with a new Puerto Nuevo favorite! Everyone on TikTok seems to say "Go to Ortega's!" when talking about Puerto Nuevo, but last time we went it was just okay and a little pricey (making the fam shuffle to put pesos together since it was cash only). We were celebrating my Nana's birthday and had a bigger group than usual, so I started looking around on yelp for other options. There are SO many little lobster restaurants along this street, but this place had good reviews, the pictures looked good, so we figured- why not try something new? And I'm SO glad we did. Actually, before we even got there, all the restaurant promoters were trying to get us into their places and asking where we were headed. Every time we said this restaurant, they were like, "Oh yeah, that's a really good place!" I'm sorry, but when the people trying to steal your business are ALSO admitting the place you're going to is good... I'm listening. We got in, immediately got a table, and they brought out chips, salsa AND fresh ceviche. Ceviche is one of my favorite foods, so at that point they basically had me. Then the food came out and the whole family was happy. The lobster was amazing, the tortillas were fresh, the rice and beans tasted like Nana made them herself, and the drinks were PHENOMENAL. Everything was flavorful and fresh, and we all had such a good time. What I really loved about this place is that it reminded me why sometimes the little local spots are better than the big, famous ones. You don't always need the biggest restaurant, the most viral TikTok, or the place with the best-known view to have an amazing meal. Sometimes you just have to look around and give one of the smaller places a chance. And this one absolutely delivered. The restaurant itself is quite a bit smaller than Ortega's, and you do have to walk up a few stairs, but nothing crazy at all. I actually liked the smaller, more intimate feel. And when we were walking out of the restaurant we say them preparing all kinds of ceviches and other dishes right there. We saw several things we hadn't tried before and immediately started making a mental list of what we want to order next time. This wasn't just a one-time birthday dinner either -- I've already come back since her birthday, and now this is the place I recommend when anyone asks me where they should eat in Puerto Nuevo. So TikTok can keep telling everyone to go to Ortega's. Me and the real foodies are happily enjoying this little spot instead. 10/10. Nana-approved. Family-approved. Ceviche-approved. We found this spot on Yelp, after looking through other reviews and comparing them to other spots in the area. We were also welcomed by someone promoting this restaurant on the street/inviting people to check out the food. I realized later that they also have a downstairs bar and restaurant (you can also preview the seafood selections from the cart). We opted to eat upstairs since they had a bit of a view with a more open seating area. Only about 3 tables have the view of the water/beach, while the rest of the tables are either on the side overlooking the street, in the middle of the restaurant, or on the side where you can kind of see the view. They also have a nice photo opp/background also on one of the sides facing the water view. We were welcomed and seated and got to check out the different sized lobster options (this was what immediately drew us to this spot initially). We were greeted with complementary chips, salsa, pico de gallo, and ceviche. It was a nice welcome surprise. We got an order of 3 medium lobsters and an order of garlic shrimp. We also got a bottle of Tecate and a Carajillo cocktail. One of the neighboring areas had a mariachi band serenading different tables in their outdoor restaurant area. And that provided a lot of entertainment for our seafood feast. We also had other musicians come through our restaurant to try to serenade us, but nobody seemed to want to fork over any money. The drinks came pretty quickly and even though I'm not big on beer, the chilled bottle just somehow made sense and tasted a lot better. The Carajillo was tasty and served with an orange slice. I felt like it was the perfect combination to the coffee forward cocktail. The Appetizer was delicious, although I'm not big on any spicy items, the salsa was good in small doses. The ceviche and pico de gallo were super fresh, as were the tortilla chips. When we got the main courses, they came out rather quickly. They were split and halved. Same with the shrimp. These dishes were also served with an order of beans with rice, freshlu made flour tortillas, as well as a side of butter dipping sauce. The food was extremely fresh and came out rather quickly. Our server seemed to be a bit attentive and check on us a couple of times. When we finished, we ended up getting 1 homemade flan to share and another Carajillo to pair. The drink was just as good as the first one and prepared similarly. The flan was tasty, just a bit on the sweet side for me. It was the waiting that kinda got to me. It wasn't that they forgot about us, but that we were probably waiting around for a bit before the server came back to check on us. We may have waited an extra 10 minutes before we got the check, paid, and left. Mariscos Puerto Nuevo nos ofreció una experiencia excepcional. El servicio fue impecable, gracias a Miguel, nuestro mesero, quien nos atendió con mucho cuidado y amabilidad. Nos sorprendieron con un ceviche de cortesía que estaba perfecto: el pescado y el limón, cocinados como debe ser, frescos y llenos de sabor. Gracias Miguel! La langosta fue una explosión de sabores bien sazonados y mantequillosos, acompañada de arroz, tortillas de harina y frijoles (o "caviar mexicano", como los llama Miguel). Cada detalle del platillo estaba preparado a la perfección, haciendo de cada bocado una delicia inolvidable. Lo que hizo aún más especial la visita fueron los músicos que tocan en las mesas por un costo muy razonable. Disfrutar de boleros mientras comíamos añadió un toque mágico y auténtico al ambiente. My husband and I visited this restaurant as it was famous on TikTok. Our food was absolutely delicious. We got the extra large lobster with beans, rice and flour tortillas. The lobster was served with butter and was so flavorful and delicious. The beans were BOMB. Some of the best beans I have had. We sat on the second story overlooking the ocean and all of the shops and it was beautiful. Our waiters name was Christian. He was very attentive and showed us how to remove the lobster from the tail. we even got drinks and shots to celebrate our first trip here. We plan on bringing our family back . Delicious. Got the lobster fish shrimp combo. The tortillas and fish soup. Mexican coke. And then hired a mariachi band to sing while we ate. Incredible! They were so good too! Miguel was our server and very friendly. NOTE: when you're coming in from main road, be aware the guys in road trying to "help you" are really helpful in telling you where to go... but they're also sometimes trying to get you to go to their other restaurant. Look for the guy with "Puerto Nuevo" parking vest on. He'll let you park right in front... and walk you in. Recommend sitting upstairs on the balcony looking over the street. That's how we saw the band members walking up the street and invited them up to sing! read more

This is our place to go every time we visit, you can't beat the friendly staff and just the food itself fresh hot and always more than enough everything is so awesome. The homemade tortillas and the drinks so worth the trip sometimes we just drive the 7 hours just to come eat read more
